So many folks tell us that when they walk inside The Jackson House for the first time the first word they utter is 'Wow!' Guests are initially impressed by the warmth and welcoming atmosphere of the home and the attention to detail for cleanliness and comfort. As guests continue on the tour of the home they see that each room offers period antiques and can see the restoration of hard wood floors, spun glass windows, wood trim and flowering gardens. The home offers early 1900's charm with modern expectations such as feather topped beds, down comforters, and soft linens. The Jackson home takes you back in time to when people sat on the front porch sipping fresh lemonade and gathered together to create memories that would last a lifetime.

Guests are impressed to see a fully stocked modern kitchen, period bathroom complete with a claw-foot tub, inviting library full of books, cascading stream in the backyard, three car garage, and entertainment room with lg panel smart tv, bar, fridge, and microwave.

Although the inside of the Jackson House is amazing, the 'Wow' factor continues as guests see the backyard for the first time! A cascading river flows through the private desert oasis! There is a large patio and BBQ where you can gather your friends and family together for delicious meals. Subtle outdoor lighting allows you to enjoy the atmosphere of the backyard and the stars at the same time.

Just when guests think they have seen the entire home, they discover the basement entertainment room which is privately located at the far east side of the home. The entertainment room comes complete with a large flat screen TV, serving bar, microwave, mini fridge, game table, two large leather couches, games and movies. This area can be used as a 5th family bedroom.

The home offers 4 bedroom + 4 cubby sleeping areas, 3 baths, living room, family room, dining room, entertainment room, three car garage and plenty of parking for an RV or multiple cars. The Jackson House can accommodate large groups but the nightly rental rate is perfect for couples and small parties. The home sleeps 8 in beds but guests can also use the pull out queen sofa and sleeping mats.

The Jackson House is pet friendly. The yard is fully fenced to keep your pet safe and protected. On the side of the house there is a dog run complete with a dog door that leads into a secure kennel inside the garage. Sorry no cats due to homeowners allergies.

The Jackson House is located only 5 miles from Kanab, Utah where you can grocery shop, visit tourist attractions, and enjoy entertainment. If you don't feel like driving you can walk right across the street and enjoy a meal at the Cowboy Butte Grill. You can also stroll two blocks down and splash in the town swimming pool or play at the new park.

If you are looking for more things to do during your free time, the Jackson House comes with plenty of extras to help you enjoy your vacation. There is a large area to play basketball and a pool table for family fun.

The Jackson House provides the perfect base from which to explore Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, Grand Staircase National Park and all of Southern Utah. We are also only 45 minutes to The North Rim of the Grand Canyon which is the hidden Jewel of Arizona. The North Rim is less crowded, more spectacular, and offers cooler temperatures. Stayed there with my wife, 8yo daughter, and dog, and was just enough space for us. We used it as a base camp to go visit the surrounding national parks, and was a great fit. Directions given were clear, and we found the cabin easily, despite it being relatively far off a paved road. Host was excellent, and made sure we had everything we needed. The new swamp-cooler was much appreciated (as it does get pretty hot in the summer, but that wasn't a surprise). Would recommend as the alternative to a boring hotel/motel option! -S"

Stuart Farm is a three acre farm with a newly renovated five bedroom, 1800 sq. ft. farmhouse in Cane Beds, Arizona. If you want to get away from it all and get out to the edge of civilization, this is the place. Located in one of the last great wilderness areas in Northern Arizona, it is very close to the Arizona/Utah border; between Zion National Park and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

This is cattle country and part of the famous Arizona Strip. It has long been a cattleman's paradise with large stretches of grassy meadow in the valleys and the high Kaibab plateau as summer forage. Many cattle ranching families have been here for generations and are what remains of the pioneers that traveled out in wagon trains to settle the west almost 200 years ago.

Before the west was settled, the property was home to the Anasazi Indian tribe. Many legends have been told about the Anasazi and what became of them. Our neighborhood is located at the foot of Lyon's point in the Cane Beds valley and we know that it was once home to more than 10,000 Anasazi Indians. If you hike around the property, you may find arrowheads, ancient pieces of broken pottery and see petroglyphs carved on the nearby surrounding cliffs and caves where the tribe once lived.

The farm is home to much wildlife including, deer, coyotes, jackrabbits and a herd of big horn sheep that can be seen on the north ridge from time to time. Of course, the black angus cows are on the east range and will usually come to the fence to say hello at sundown.

The farm offers stunning mountain views of red rock cliffs, spectacular sunsets but most glorious of all would definitely be the views of the night sky. We are located next to a very rare "International Dark Sky Region" which is specifically protected for its distinguished quality of starry nights, superb views of the milky way and natural nocturnal environments. These areas are extremely rare as light wash from cities and towns drown out the ability to see the night sky with the naked eye. These regions only exist now in a few remote places in the Western part of America and scientists tell us that in less than ten years, our area will be just one of two places left in the United States where dark sky's will still exist. This is something that you must put on your bucket list and if you are an astronomy enthusiast, bring your telescope and dive in.

Welcome to the Wild West 40. This cabin is 1 of 8 located on the Arizona Strip just 3 miles off the highway, yet away from it all. Majestic views of red and purple mountains. We are 100% off the grid with solar and a well. You’d never know it though as our cabins have everything from a stove top, microwave, fridge, hi sped internet, big screen TVs and video games. Feel free to make a camp fire in front or feed the animals out back. Grabs some fresh eggs for breakfast!

We are located about 30 minutes north of Fredonia and Kanab in a town called Cane Beds which about 15 minutes from Colorado City. Just add a few extra minutes in any direction you'll find yourself in Zion, St. George, Lake Powel or the North rim of the Grand Canyon.

- "The animals are so much fun. The fire pit was used every night. The owners do truly care and will make anything right if there is a problem. Cabins are wonderfully decorated. However, after a slight detour, we managed to find the right path, and upon arrival, we were relieved to see the welcoming sign. Despite these minor hiccups, our overall experience was nothing short of incredible. The staff were exceptionally helpful and communicative, always there when we needed them. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, and the beauty of the starry night sky was simply breathtaking. Waking up to such stunning scenery and falling asleep under the stars was a dream come true. My spring break trip with friends turned out to be one for the books. This Cowboy Cabin is located on 40 acres and is a perfect tiny home to enjoy out in the country. With chickens, cows, goats, horses and more about back you’ll have plenty of friends.
This home is off the grid and is run completely on solar. If I hadn’t of told you, you might not have figured that out.
Plenty of space to park. If you are traveling in a group we have 7 other tiny homes down the Lane.
We are a cattle family who homesteaded the Arizona Strip. Our place has horses, cats, dogs, chickens, roosters, goats and cattle. We are completely off the grid. Our water is off a well and our electricity is solar. The rooster crows in the morning. The water can sometimes have a unique odor but is clean and safe and we provide free water bottles. We don’t see them often but there are snakes (mostly blow snakes but rattle snakes are native, scorpions (non poisonous) coyotes and other critters from time to time .
If you like petting and feeding the ranch animals please feel free to offer a hand.
We are 5,000 feet in elevation and experience all seasons. We are 15 minutes away from the coral pink san dunes.

Welcome to the Wild West 40. This cabin is 1 of 8 located on the Arizona Strip just 3 miles off the highway, yet away from it all. Majestic views of red and purple mountains. We are 100% off the grid with solar and a well. You’d never know it though as our cabins have everything from a stove top, microwave, fridge, hi sped internet, big screen TVs and video games. Feel free to make a camp fire in front or feed the animals out back. Grabs some fresh eggs 🍳 for breakfast!

We are a cattle family who homesteaded the Arizona Strip. Our place has horses, cats, dogs, chickens, roosters, goats and cattle. We are completely off the grid. Our water is off a well and our electricity is solar. The rooster crows in the morning. The water can sometimes have a unique odor but is clean and safe and we provide free water bottles. We don’t see them often but there are snakes (mostly blow snakes but rattle snakes are native, scorpions (non poisonous) coyotes and other critters from time to time .
If you like petting and feeding the ranch animals please feel free to offer a hand.
We are 5,000 feet in elevation and experience all seasons. We are 15 minutes away from the coral pink sand dunes.

We are not located in Fredonia, but 30 minutes north in a town called CaneBeds. We are 15 minutes away from Colorado City where there is a wonderful grocery store and a few restaurants.

- "Very nice cabin. King size bed. Very comfortable. There was a coffee pot, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and a small stove. We didn’t cook while we stayed, just coffee in the mornings. A small dining room table and chairs, but chairs were more for decoration I guess because the seats were small. Air conditioning works fine. Bathroom was okay but it would have been nice to have 2 more bath towels. We had 2 for 7 days. Nice shower, no tub. It’s a couple miles from town. But there are a few places there to get what you need. Very quiet, except for the barking dog 2 nights out of the 7 we stayed It’s very beautiful here. It’s about 14 miles from Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. We would rent again if we are in the area. "

Private keyed entrance to this one bedroom, 1 full bath is only 7 minutes from Kanab, Utah. We are pet-friendly and we can care for your pets while you explore this beautiful area. Just 8 driving minutes from a walking path around Jackson Flat Reservoir. Pet fee is $50 per stay. Please be aware this property operates a doggy daycare facility and we try to keep the dogs quiet from 10pm to 7am but at times we cannot control barking.

The Casita is conveniently only minutes south of Kanab (where we spent most of our time) and about 1-2 miles north of the Fredonia town center, yet it feels very rural and has beautiful desert views. Darlene and Steve are the nicest people and hosts and they were so easy to communicate with. They run a horse and dog pet resort and boarding business and, ironically, my kids and I are actually kind of scared of dogs. But our hosts reassured us that the dogs are always on leash when out, or in their large kennels, and also let us know the times that the dogs go out to potty. We had zero issues! They were so responsible with the dogs and we rarely even heard any barking, and never while we were sleeping. We definitely recommend The Casita! ❤"

Lyman's Place is an original homesteader's one room cabin. It features the original wood plank floors, rough sawn lumber beams and paneling, as well as hand finished cob walls. It functions as a cute and cozy studio, with the entire living, kitchen, dining, and sleeping quarters in one room. It's ideal for traveling couples or adventurous singles. We provide simple breakfast items for you like granola, eggs, fruit, english muffins & juice. We also provide tea, coffee, and essentials like oil, spices, sweeteners, pantry staples, and convenience foods. There is a well stocked kitchenette which includes all the necessities for cooking. You will have a mini-fridge, double ceramic hot plate, convection oven, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and food processor. There are plenty of dishes, pots & pans, & cooking tools to help you make that perfect meal. We also offer essentials like soap, paper towels, tin foil, etc. We try to be as thoughtful as possible in preparing the space to accommodate you. You will have clean, comfortable linens, extra blankets, towels, washcloths, etc. Lyman's Place has a full bathroom, however, only showering is recommended. The current hot water heater is not sufficient to fill the bathtub. You will have enough hot water for about an 8-10 minute shower or longer, depending which shower head setting you are using. You will also need to wait about 30 minutes in between showers for the tank to heat up again, so you may want to plan accordingly. We do have two kayaks with life jackets available for off site use (we have two local reservoirs that are just 10 minutes away that are excellent for kayaking). You will need to have a vehicle suitable for transporting the kayaks or we can take them to the reservoir for you and pick them up for an additional $50 fee. You are also welcome to take them down to Sand Hollow Reservoir for the day but you would need to have an appropriate vehicle to transport them in (pickup truck or large SUV will the seats able to fold down). Your privacy is respected on our ranch. You have your own private cabin, bath, porch, and reserved parking area. You will have access to a shared yard, firepit area, adjacent treehouse, and garden when in season.You will also have access to hike around our private canyon, but please follow all host rules and recommendations before doing so. AN IMPORTANT NOTE TO OUR GUESTS: The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is closed from December 1st-May 15. The only ways to visit the GC during this time is through the "Desert View" or South Rim. Both of these locations are approximately 4 hours from from the cabin. During the open season from May 15 to December 1st we are 2 hours from the north rim. We are available for assistance, questions, directions, etc. We are happy to visit and say hello. We may build a campfire in the shared firepit area and invite you to an impromptu concert from our host or to roast marshmallows. (We generally use the fire pit from March through November) We love to visit but of course respect your privacy and space as well. NOTE: The cabin is in "Cane Beds, AZ", 30 minutes away from "Fredonia, AZ". AirBnb automatically sets the location as "Fredonia" because we share the same zip code. We live in a safe and respectful rural neighborhood. Neighbors here watch out for each other and we will do the same for you. We have lived here for 20 years and cannot remember a single crime being committed in the neighborhood. Emergency responders are here within minutes of being called if necessary. We also have a few vehicles outside in the shared parking areas. Please be aware of this. There is also another Airbnb cabin located about 100 feet away from the cabin, although guests have their own firepits and private outdoor spaces We welcome you as our guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. If you see a mouse please alert us immediately so we can take care of it. We also have rattlesnakes in the area, please be careful and watch out! (We usually only see one or two a year, at the most. We just like to caution people.)

When you enter the silo, you’ll walk into a cottage inspired living room with swinging chairs and a dining table for 2. Under the circular stair case is a small but thoughtful food prep area with a mini fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker, kettle and dishware & food prep items. Most meals are made outside at our communal propane grill stations (3 total on site, shared amongst the other glamping rental guests), perfect for outdoor grilling.

Back inside, the wooden staircase leads upstairs to a bright, circular bedroom with a queen bed & panoramic canyon views from your private balcony- sunrise to sunset.

While there’s no private bathroom inside the silo, you’ll have full access to the communal bathhouse: uniquely built with 2 indoor slot canyon-inspired showers, 2 indoor toilets & 2 outdoor sinks located a short walk from your front door (about 20-30 yards). There is an outhouse located next to the silo for convenient quick bathroom trips (keep in mind, it is a compost toilet. It's moreso for middle of the night/early toilet runs).

The front porch hammock and swing chair are perfect for sun-drenched naps & stargazing.

The "Tiny T" is a comfy, cozy tiny home, centrally located to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, & the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. All the essentials are provided for your relaxing stay. Stars abound in our rural night sky and in the morning enjoy your coffee in the greenhouse or outdoor swing (feel free to harvest organic produce!). The Tiny T is an adorable camper situated in a rural community surrounded by red sandstone cliffs. Your hosts Butch and Becky will welcome you and do everything they can to provide you with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The Tiny T is fully stocked with linens, pots & pans, essentials & staples to make you feel right at home. There is a partition that can be used for separating the bedroom area from the rest of the camper. The dining area folds down into a twin XL bed with a memory foam topper and all bedding provided. The Tiny T is also air conditioned.

Guest access
Guests will have their own parking area and seating area outside the Tiny T. There is also another seating area with a swing for relaxing outside near the goji orchard. You are welcome to sit inside the greenhouse and harvest produce in season, please take only what you can use. :)

There are neighborhood dogs that bark at night sometimes.

The camper is in a rural area and there is no cell service from regular carriers. We do have our IP address set up for wifi calling and and the majority of our guests are able to use these. Wifi is stable and adequate for remote work.

The space
Glitter and Grit has all the comforts of home and is located on 40 acres and is a perfect tiny home to enjoy out in the country. Plenty of space to park. If you are traveling in a group we have 7 other tiny homes down the Lane. We are not located in Fredonia, but in CaneBeds.
We are a cattle family who homesteaded the Arizona Strip. Our place has horses, cats, dogs, chickens, roosters, goats and cattle. We are completely off the grid. Our water is off a well and our electricity is solar. The rooster crows in the morning. The water can sometimes have a unique odor but is clean and safe and we provide free water bottles. We don’t see them often but there are snakes (mostly blow snakes but rattle snakes are native, scorpions (non poisonous) coyotes and other critters from time to time .
If you like petting and feeding the ranch animals please feel free to offer a hand.
We are 5,000 feet in elevation and experience all seasons. We are 15 minutes away from the coral pink san dunes.

The space
At Tarzan's Hideaway we try to provide all the comforts of home away from home, on a tiny scale of course. The downstairs living space has a mini kitchen & cooking area with all kitchen necessities provided. Upstairs in the loft you can truly relax on queen cotton futon with foam topper with plush blankets and extra pillows. Relax and watch a classic Tarzan movie or rent a DVD from the local Redbox just minutes away. We also provide a Roku box for streaming. There is half bathroom w/shower and regular flushing toilet (even though the photos show an RV toilet, we have upgraded.)

You will have your own private patio and seating area, hammocks, BBQ & table, & firepit area in the "Fairy House" (also the perfect place for stargazing!). You will also have access to the greenhouse and the seasonal produce inside. You will have your own private parking area.

Other things to note
The hot water heater is "on demand" but you may want to plan on giving 20 minutes in between showers to allow it to catch up. There is no cell service at the tiny house but the wi-fi works for wi-fi calling.

Rest up in peace and quiet in this leafy & shady garden spot. Our place is an oasis in the desert and is admired by all visitors as the most lush, cool spot in Cane Beds. The surrounding vermillion cliffs match the adobe walls of this charming cottage. This unique cottage is a rare example of an earth dwelling. Built about 30 years ago with adobe red clay, sand and straw, it is modernized and recently renovated. You will see two examples of the application of the adobe method in this building.

The space

This small cottage is made of exterior adobe walls. Adobe is made from local clay, sand, straw and other ingredients. The thick walls keep the interior cool in the summer and warm in the winter. During more extreme temps there is an air conditioner or heater as needed.

Why do we call it Adobe Walls Kitty Cottage? Because we are also a Cat Rescue that is free range and no cage and you will be able to visit with the kitties outside, most of them are quite friendly. We don't allow them inside but your own pet is welcome inside.

It is only big enough for 2 guests but if you like we have a small tent that can be erected on the shady lawn as well as a blow up mattress, out the back door, for a small set up fee or you set up, let us know ahead of time. Pets are welcome with a pet cleaning fee, we ask for clean paws and we request you remove your shoes in the bedroom - PETS MUST BE BOOKED, AS WELL.

It is located in a little oasis of trees planted 30 years ago providing shade and cool. It has been recently renovated and has all the mod cons. The blend of eclectic pieces make for an enjoyable experience with lots of eye catching details with a theme of farm or country living.

You will come in the front door into a hall, to the right is the full bathroom with full tub and shower with grab bars and shower chair (opt.) and a toilet riser if requested. We used vintage mirrors and shelves to add to that eclectic flare. The view from the window is of a spectacular butte.

There is a closet in the hall and a rack for coats and hats as well as a shoe stand. A beautiful hand made quilt adorns the left wall.

At the end of the hall is an antique china cabinet that has all the dishes, pots and pans, mixing bowls, etc that you will need for your stay. The kitchenette has new butcher block counter tops, electric oven, two burners, microwave oven, full size refrigerator, farm sink and two stools, clothes washer and dryer (and a clothesline is available out the back).

We provide toilet paper, paper towels, soap and shampoo for the first week, you are expected to supply these things for yourself for longer stays. It is self catering but we provide coffee, tea, sugar, half n half, bread, eggs, jam and butter to start you off on your stay.

The exit is to the back yard lawn and outdoor relaxation area which is complete with patio table and chairs and is shaded by towering cottonwood trees.

The bedroom is next, just past the kitchenette. Adobe walls keep it cool but also a window air conditioner is installed. The bedroom has a Sleep Number dual control full size comfy bed so you can set your own firmness setting with a dual heated mattress cover so you can set it to your own warmth setting or turn off on your side. There is some antique furniture, a dresser, end tables, mirrors and a dedicated work space. Curtains will keep you private and the room dark for sleep. The TV and arm chair will keep you entertained and relaxed, some books are provided as well. The feel in the room is very relaxing and calm and you have view out into the beautiful garden during the summer months, and picturesque dustings of snow in the winter.

The cottage is all yours, private and secure, including the back patio/lawn area. We have another airbnb next door and there are privacy screens up giving you your own space.

It is all on one level with thresholds into rooms easy for those with mobility issues. We tried to make the door frames wide enough to comply with airbnb's accessibility requirements but could not make them any wider than they are, it being a renovation. But the doors themselves are 32" doors and the openings are 29". We did install handrails in the bathroom and a shower chair and toilet riser are available on request.

I'm sure you will enjoy this unusual cottage.

When outside you can visit with the many friendly kitties. They will come right up to you and let you pet them. We are a cat rescue and sanctuary. No- cage, free range, but no visitors except our Airbnb and HipCamp guest. We consider it a sanctuary because we become so attached that we cannot seem to rehome any. The number of cats remains steady as many are abandoned at the roadside and wander in but we lose some to coyotes and the road. We hope to use some of the proceeds from our vacation rentals to build a fence to defeat these threats to our cats.

You will have access to your area as described, with plenty of free parking and easy access to the front door. The place is all one level and would be wheelchair accessible if the person has help thru the doors. The doors are 32" but the open door space is 29" due to this was a renovation and we cannot make the door frames any wider.

There is a backdoor out to the back lawn and seating area. This door access is level.

Other things to note
There are several cats around, outside only. The property hosts an official but informal cat rescue. There are no visitors to the rescue. We just take care of cats that are abandoned out here in the desert. If you want to bring a dog you will need to keep a close eye on it (there is the road close by and it is not completely fenced) or have it on a lead and please make sure it does not chase the cats. An outdoor dog pen is available, please request prior to arrival.

Be aware that there is no cell phone signal once you leave the highway but the wifi is awesome, varying between 300 and 600 Mps so you can use wifi calling on your phone to call anywhere. Once you book you will get our cell number and will be able to text or phone us.

Popular Destinations: 20 minutes to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, 30 minutes to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 40 minutes to Kanab, UT, 1 hour to Zion National Park, 2 hours to Bryce Canyon National Park, Page, AZ & 90 minutes to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Please note: the North Rim Grand Canyon does not open until May 15th and closes Oct. 15th. . We have a full sized grocery store, Bee's Marketplace, less than 10 minutes away. There are several eateries, 2 gas stations, auto parts store, Brewery Pub, Pizza places, coffee shops, hardware store, Dollar General and other businesses. There is a library and Post Office and deliveries by UPS and FEDEX are no problem.

Climate: Located at an elevation of 5,000ft, weather tends to be very mild with lots of sunshine in the spring/summer. Springtime (April-May) is beautiful with highs in the 80s. During peak summer months, July & August, temperatures can get up to 100+F so please plan accordingly. The monsoon rains throughout the summer and fall bring the temperatures back down with the possibility of light snow in the winter months. If you happen to make it in the winter, it is absolutely breath-takingly beautiful with the snow of the Vermillion Red Bluffs!

Come relax on our rural property in our vintage Shasta Lo-Flyte. Plenty of space to relax outside on the deck & enjoy a campfire. Grill out and eat at the outdoor bar, enjoy an outdoor shower after a long day hiking. The trailer is tiny but outdoor living is the star of the show. You will have privacy with plenty of space to relax. The Shasta has A/C, wifi, mini-fridge, and is well stocked. Close to Zion, Water Canyon, and the Coral Pink Sand Dunes just for starters.

The space
The Shasta has been completely remodeled into a "Mermaid's Paradise" and is very comfortable and fun! We love hosting and go out of our way to make our guests happy. There are two beds, one is a double (this is a canned ham camper!)and the other is a extra wide twin (the table converts to this second bed but the full is always a bed.) We don't recommend that guests over 6 feet tall stay in the camper as it might feel cramped for you. Taller guests would be welcome to relax and sleep outside on the sofa on the deck though!

You have have a great little A/C and Wifi, outdoor gas grill and firepit and multiple areas to relax outside. Our pride and joy is the spacious outdoor shower that is completely private. We have been hosting for almost two years and look forward to meeting you! The bathroom toilet is rather small so again, someone over 6 feet would feel very cramped.

The Mermaid trailer is located in the back of our property in Cane Beds, AZ (Note: not Fredonia). You have your own private parking area and the outdoor space is surrounded by a privacy fence. There are multiple other guesthouses on the property so you may encounter other guests outside, but your areas are not shared.

Other things to note
There are outdoor cats on the property and outdoor dogs in the neighborhood. You may hear dogs barking during your stay and roosters crowing. Small pets are allowed with an additional $25 pet fee. We live in a rural area with cows and farm animals. You may encounter insects also during your stay since we live in the desert.

Use of the dining table bed requires host help and therefor we charge a $10 fee to set it up for your arrival.


ONCE AGAIN I WANT TO CLARIFY THAT THE BATHROOM STALL IN THE TRAILER IS VERY SMALL. Your knees may touch the wall and please be careful when you walk in as guests 5’10-6’0 may bump their head going in. The shower has been disconnected in there because the outdoor shower is so lovely.

There is no cell phone service at the camper but wifi calling works if you have it enabled on your phone.

Cozy Kokopelli Cabin: Nestled in Cane Beds Valley on acreage which was once part of a working cattle ranch where cowboys of the early 1900’s ran their cattle and sometimes sheep. In this somewhat remote area is an AirB&B that still simmers with that old flavor. A place to relax and enjoy the exceptional high red cliffs with outstanding scenery. Nearby are Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon National Parks as well as others. We are located just 6 miles from the small town of Colorado City, Arizona, with all the amenities.
Your safe accommodation has free parking and free fast WiFi. Enjoy privacy on a large vine covered patio with firepit for a relaxing evening with a cold beverage. Firewood is provided. Under the whispering pines are old antique farm implements, old relics of the past and a buckboard for what was once a three-day trip to the nearest town. There are numerous back drops to snap a picture for your remembrance or for those loved ones back home.
We live on the property so you will occasionally see a guy in a cowboy hat. He might be on the tractor or working on a welding project outside the barn. Please feel comfortable and enjoy your stay.
We are committed to a clean, pleasant cozy camper cabin experience. You can self-check-in. We will give you a brief tour of the cabin, "Barn", and hot tub. The camper has one bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed, bathroom with shower and a dinette bed. You will have clean, comfortable linens, extra blankets, towels washcloths and a robe for your convenience at the hot tub. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities for cooking. Available is a three burner range, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. Just outside the door is a large covered patio where you can relax and enjoy a morning cup of coffee among the soft tranquil surrounding of nature and pine trees. It is ideal.

Your privacy is respected at our ranch. You will have your own private cabin bath, porch, lawn, firepit, bar-b-que, and patio area. The Hot Tub and Barn are shared between our two AirBnB cabins. We just need half an hour or so to get the Hot Tub up to temperature. The "Barn" has a regulation pool table and old west artifacts. Lounge on the patio adjacent to the camper or relax in your private "Sunroom".
Your pet will enjoy the freedom of a fenced yard just for him. You will have access to go for a stroll on our family's adjacent 640 acres.

This lovely 500 sq ft studio cottage is located at the base of the Vermillion Bluffs, in a small rural neighborhood surrounded by trees. Our cottage offers front & back private porches with beautiful views of the red rock buttes making them the perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine or get some work down outdoors. The south-facing windows overlook the lush green lawn and my wonderful garden full of wildflowers & produce, making it feel like a little oasis in the middle of the American Southwest.

The cottage offers a studio-style open floor plan that connects the living room, workspace, bedroom and kitchen with a wall mounted heater and an evaporative cooler. The living room has a sofa, Roku 32” Smart TV and a desk + desktop set up perfect for those wanting to work remote: the newly installed fiber optic Internet with speeds of about 400 to 600Mbps are ideal for the remote worker, gamer or for streaming movies! . The full sized kitchen comes fully stocked with all of the cooking utensils, dishware & seasonings to feel right at home.

I live next door on site & run a small private cat rescue sanctuary so you may be visited by some of our kitties while hanging outside! If you'd like to have some of the cats inside as your fellow roommates during your stay, please let me know. Otherwise I will be sure to keep the cats from entering the cottage during your stay, but they may be lingering around outside the cottage. Some of the proceeds from the Kitty Cottage will go to building a Cattery for safety & comfort of our little furry kids with warmth in the winter. Our garden is beautiful all summer, my labor of love makes it feel like a true oasis covered by lush shade trees, keeping it cool during peak summer days. Children are certainly welcome! A small camping tent can be provided for the lawn area and we can also supply you with a cot for inside the cottage- please let us know at the time of booking.

We are on site to greet you when you arrive. You will have the whole cottage with both patios and a parking space. It is private with soft fencing. The lawn is for your use but might be shared with other guests in our other little cabin, located next door.

We live on site and am available as needed.

Other things to note
We run a small, private informal but official 501.c3 cat sanctuary/rescue with a limited number (10-15) cats throughout the property. Some of the proceeds from the Kitty Cottage will go to building a Cattery for safety and comfort of our little furry kids with warmth in the winter.

All of our cats are trained to use the bathroom outside, there is no litter box/no litterbox smell inside the cottage at any time. We have a microchip activated cat door so only a select few (the kitties that we feel would be no problem for guests) are allowed to enter. If you are a cat lover and wish to have our cats around during your stay, let me know and they will be welcome inside and outside the cottage throughout your stay. If not, no worries. Let us know at time of booking, we will block the door and that will prevent any cats from entering inside the cottage.

Working Remote? An extra monitor can be provided & a printer (on the same wifi) is available in my house next door. Let me know at time of booking if you're interested in either.

There is a tiny cabin next door that I also rent out for short term rentals so you may see other guests during your stay. I live on site and am currently renovating the interior of our adobe home located adjacent to your unit so you may see me during your stay. There is some road noise in the summer from people going out to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park (20 minutes from us) to enjoy their 4 wheel off-road vehicles but due to the ruralness of the town, overall it's quiet and peaceful.

Popular Destinations: 20 minutes to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, 30 minutes to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 40 minutes to Kanab, UT, 1 hour to Zion National Park, 2 hours to Bryce Canyon National Park, Page,AZ & the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We have a full sized grocery store, Bee's Marketplace, less than 10 minutes away. Please note: the North Rim Grand Canyon does not open until May 15th and closes Oct. 15th. It's a lovely & scenic 90 minute drive to the Park Entrance, from here.

Climate: Located at an elevation of 5,000ft, weather tends to be very mild with lots of sunshine in the spring/summer. Springtime (April-May) is beautiful with highs in the 80s. During peak summer months, July & August, temperatures can get up to 100F so please plan accordingly. The monsoon rains throughout the fall bring the temperatures back down with the possibility of light snow in the winter months. If you happen to make it in the winter, it is absolutely breath-takingly beautiful with the snow of the Vermillion Red Bluffs!

Cell Phone Service: IMPORTANT! We are located back in a canyon and there is no cellular coverage. The wifi is super fast and guests can use 'wifi-calling' on their phones (please be sure your phone has the 'wifi-calling' capability), we use it all the time to make phone calls and texting works well with no problems at all with both iPhones & Androids. Just be aware that the cell signal drops once you leave the highway so be sure to download/pre load all navigation maps prior to the drive. Once on site, you won't have any issues.

Host Availability: Your host, me, is onsite and will be available to help with anything you need. I am in the building only 30 ft away and will look after the cats myself or if I happen to be away, I will have my property manager look after everything, cats included. The space
Lyman's Place is an original homesteader's one room cabin. It features the original wood plank floors, rough sawn lumber beams and paneling, as well as hand finished cob walls. It functions as a cute and cozy studio, with the entire living, kitchen, dining, and sleeping quarters in one room. It's ideal for traveling couples or adventurous singles.

We provide ample breakfast items for you like eggs, bacon, fruit, English muffins, bagels & cream cheese & juice. We also provide tea, coffee, creamer, and essentials like oil, spices, sweeteners, pantry staples, and convenience foods. All our guests feel like home here.

There is a well stocked kitchen which includes all the necessities for cooking. You will have a mini-fridge, double ceramic hot plate, countertop convection oven, French press & coffee maker, toaster, blender, and food processor. There are plenty of dishes, pots & pans, & cooking tools to help you make that perfect meal. We also offer essentials like soap, paper towels, tin foil, etc. We try to be as thoughtful as possible in preparing the space to accommodate you.

You will have clean, comfortable linens, extra blankets, towels, washcloths, etc. Lyman's Place has a full bathroom, however, only showering is recommended. The current hot water heater is not sufficient to fill the bathtub. You will have enough hot water for about an 10 minute shower or longer, depending which shower head setting you are using. You will also need to wait about 30 minutes in between showers for the tank to heat up again, so you may want to plan accordingly.

We do have two kayaks with life jackets available for off site use (we have two local reservoirs that are just 10 minutes away that are excellent for kayaking). You will need to have a vehicle suitable for transporting the kayaks or we can take them to the reservoir for you and pick them up for an additional $50 fee. You are also welcome to take them down to Sand Hollow Reservoir for the day but you would need to have an appropriate vehicle to transport them in (pickup truck or large SUV will the seats able to fold down).

Your privacy is respected on our ranch. You have your own private cabin, bath, porch, and reserved parking area. You will have access to a shared yard, firepit area, adjacent treehouse, and garden when in season.You will also have access to hike around our private canyon, but please follow all host rules and recommendations before doing so.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE TO OUR GUESTS: The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is closed from December 1st-May 15. The only ways to visit the GC during this time is through the "Desert View" or South Rim. Both of these locations are approximately 4 hours from from the cabin. During the open season from May 15 to December 1st we are 2 hours from the north rim.

Other things to note
There is no cell service here on the ranch. You must drive three miles down the road to get cell service, but you can use our land line in case of emergency. We live in a rural area on a ranch and farm and have many animals and pets. Some are penned in and some free-range like our chickens and dogs. You may hear our dogs barking in the middle of the night or a rooster crow. You may hear coyotes laughing and yelping. Our home is located about 100 feet from the cabin and our children often place outside. There is a potential for noise if you are sitting outside but we encourage our children to be quiet and respectful of guests that are outside. We also have a few vehicles outside in the shared parking areas. Please be aware of this. There is also another Airbnb cabin located about 100 feet away from the cabin, although guests have their own firepits and private outdoor spaces We welcome you as our guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. However, farm life happens...:) Please try to be patient if unexpected issues arise during your stay. We are always open for recommendations and comments/suggestions and strive to offer our guests a wonderful experience here.

The gingerbread cottage is a two story, two bedroom home with a full kitchen, living room, and one and a half bath. It is situated on one acre and is surrounded by gardens, a greenhouse, a goji berry orchard, as well as the host's home and multiple other Airbnb units.

Guest access
There is no fenced in yard but areas for dogs to walk around and relax on leash. The front porch is a great place to relax and sit on the nearby swing. You are welcome to enjoy any produce that is in season. The neighborhood is very safe and you will enjoy taking walks at sunset and going up towards the mountain. We love our rural community!

Other things to note
We do allow pets with a $25 pet fee! For stays that are over 1 week the fee increases to $50. For two weeks the fee is $100, and for 1 months stays or more the fee increases to $150. We do not allow exceptionally large breeds including german shepherd, rottweiler, and pitbulls. If you would like to request an exception due to age or activity level you can message and ask.

We do have bugs as we are in the country! We do our best to stay on top of them and spray the properties regularly. In case this may be an issue for you please request more details.

There is NO CELL PHONE SERVICE at the house but wifi calling can be enabled on any phone.

The Desert Sage Chalet is more than just a vacation rental, it truly is your home away from home. The house is fully furnished with everything you need to have a comfortable, relaxing stay.

The biggest features the Desert Sage Chalet has to offer are the stunning mountain views and spectacular sunsets. When you step outside, the air is filled with the the aroma of desert sage. At night the sky is filled with billions of stars. Many of our guests have been so happy to simply see the Milky Way for the first time. We know that these gifts from Mother Nature are our best assets, but we are also pleased to offer you a clean, comfortable, fully furnished home.

We offer complimentary tea, coffee, and creamer. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and appliances, and even cooking essentials like oil, sugar, and spices.

We have a full supply of linens, essentials, and cleaning supplies. We also offer full use of the washer and dryer and complimentary laundry supplies.

We have complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well. There is an iron and ironing board available in the downstairs bathroom.

The main living space is furnished in a fun and funky, mid-century style. There is an excellent selection of books to spark any imagination, as well as an good assortment of board games and cards. There is a 40" HD LED TV along with a Roku box, so you can enjoy your favorite shows or movies on Netflix. There is a Bose sound dock that can be hooked up to any phone or tablet to play your favorite music.

On the second floor you will find a peaceful retreat in our master bedroom and 1/2 bath. Step outside onto your own private balcony with stunning views of the red mountain to the north. Here you can enjoy sipping your coffee and relaxing in the comfortable bamboo patio loungers. The master bedroom also features a queen-size Tempurpedic memory foam mattress and plenty of pillows.

The upstairs loft area, also known as the common sleeping area, features a full size bed with memory foam topper, a twin size day bed, and a pull out trundle bed underneath. Both twins feature memory foam mattresses and high thread count sheets and are very comfortable. The trundle bed is always made and ready for you to use. In this area there is also another LED TV and Roku Box. There is an easy lounger with ottoman, perfect for relaxing after a long hike. The table and chairs is convenient for playing games together and sharing stories of the excitement of the day.

It is important to note that the chalet has neighbors to the west side of the house. The house is located in a neighborhood. The functional part of the chalet patio is on the North, East, and West sides of the house. There are no neighbors to the East of the house and the view is unobstructed.

Step outside at night and you will hear crickets chirping, gaze upon the milky way, and enjoy the smell of the desert sage surrounding you. Please remember that you are in the country in a beautiful, natural habitat.

During your stay you may encounter any of the following creatures: crickets, grasshoppers, toads, stink-bugs, houseflies, daddy-long legs, house spiders, etc. You may hear a rooster crowing or dogs barking. You may walk out your door one morning and find a herd of cows grazing across the fence.

This is part of the Desert Sage Chalet experience and we hope you are patient with mother nature.

There is another Airbnb on the fenced one acre property (the tiny cabin) with it's own parking area and outdoor space. There is a 75 foot distance between the main house and the tiny cabin.

Wireless internet is of course included, however cell phone service is spotty at the chalet. We have provided a personal landline phone for you to use during your stay.

There are power outages periodically in our neighborhood due to being in a rural area with unpredictable weather. Generally the power is not out more than once a month and it is usually only for less than two hours. There is a backup power supply so that you will still have internet during any power outage and can contact us to alert us of any issue.
