- "Beautiful location, the perfect place to stay"

This casita is located in a quiet neighborhood just 3 miles from Kanab city center. It has a mini kitchen with ample counter space. The kitchen also includes a mini-fridge, two burner stove, toaster oven, microwave and coffee maker. The casita has one king size bed. It has an outdoor table and seating at the kitchen counter. There is also a walk-in-closet with plenty of storage space. The casita is on the lower level of the home of the owners and has its own entrance.

The owners live upstairs and although they are very respectful of their guests, footsteps are audible. They have two small dogs and you may hear the pitter patter of little feet. The puppies do not bark often but if you hear barking look outside and you may see a herd of deer in the yard!

It is a short walk to dinosaur tracks and hiking trails. Kanab is a central location to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Lake Powell and The Wave. This is a great base camp for folks wanting to get out and explore the area!

There is a doorbell camera at the back door of the house which is near the casita entrance. The camera picks up the driveway and parking area but not the outdoor seating area or any part of the casita.

Palomar Estates is a few minutes east of Kanab in wide open space south of the Vermillion Cliffs and north of the Chocolate Cliffs.

Getting around
Here, a car is required to access the many parks, sites and destinations that we have here in southern Utah. A high-clearance 4WD vehicle is recommended for off-road adventures to remote places in the Kaibab National Forest, Vermilion Cliffs or other wilderness areas.

We watched the sunset every night and the rocking chairs were a huge hit with my husband. The rental is situated with homes nearby yet far enough that you still have a lot of privacy. We traveled with our pets and as a pet friendly place, you would never know other pets have been in it. It was very clean. Although we enjoyed going in town for dinner each night, it had all the amenities you'd need if you preferred to eat at home. We really soaked in the quiet nights since we live in a city where noise pollution is over the top. We even booked an extra night while there because we didn't want to leave. Our only recommendation to travelers: while rental units can't satisfy every type of sleeper (soft vs firm mattresses) - if you're used to soft mattresses, travel with a small topper. However, this would not deter us in any way from going back to this rental. It was fantastic! And we can't wait to go back when it's not as cold so we can take in the fire pit and grilling outdoors! Last, communicating with the host - very responsive and fast to accommodate any of our needs. Top-notch!"
