Perched atop a ridge on 32 juniper filled acres, Hilltop offers one of Santa Fe’s finest views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east and splendid sunsets over the Jemez Mountains to the west. The owners, a photographer and writer from New York, use Hilltop to display art from their collection that is appropriate for New Mexico’s culture and history. The works include paintings by 16th Century Roman and Florentine Renaissance Old Masters, plus 19th Century portraits of distinguished Spanish women. There are also works from the Cuzco School of the Spanish Colonial period. Among the contemporary items are works by noted Santa Fe artists. In honor of the Santa Fe Opera, Hilltop displays objects from the estate of Beverly Sills, the late coloratura soprano of the Metropolitan Opera and New York City Opera. The Persian rugs are about 100 years old.

Sleeping eight, the interior of this elegant four bedroom home was created by a prominent designer from Austin. Centrally air conditioned and heated, the 3,200 sq. ft. home abounds in Spanish colonial furniture, along with antiques from around the world. The home is partially adobe, with plaster walls, wood and travertine floors in the main living areas, and new luxurious carpet in the bedroom suites. The two foot thick walls were designed to use energy sparingly, summer and winter.

The formal living room with vaulted ceilings, oak floors and fireplace captures the glorious Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Also overlooking the Sangres and perched above the living space, the dining room has beams and access to a delightful dining deck with majestic mountain vistas.

The fully equipped kitchen with center island has a breakfast area with seated banco, and coved ceilings. Adjoining the kitchen you have an intimate sitting area to watch TV.

The bedrooms are separate from one another, affording everyone maximum privacy. The multiple outdoor spaces with saltwater pool, hot tub and decks are unparalleled in Santa Fe. Welcome! Our home is on a two acre lot nestled in the beautiful Nambe Valley, just outside of Santa Fe. It was built by renowned local architect Allen McNown, and his son Mark, whose family lived here for four decades. "Caracol" is spanish for "snail" which is the shape the house was built by McNown made out of adobe, lava rock, and wood from the area. It is a special house with a lot of history, and borders the Pojoaque Creek which is a tributary for the Rio Grande 10 miles away. The house has a very unique, curved feel due to the spiral theme. A one of a kind home with nearly 4,000 sqft of living space for large groups. Cell signals are very iffy outside of Santa Fe (and sometimes within), so do take a picture of the map and front gate before driving out here. There are some Ubers in town but few that come out here so having your own cars is recommended. There is plenty of parking here for as many as 8 cars if need be My assistant and I are readily available via texting through the app or our phone numbers. We are 15 minutes north of Santa Fe, in Santa Fe County and Pojoaque Pueblo, next to Nambe Pueblo. Off the scenic road to Taos one hour away. There are wonderful hiking and biking trails within minutes of our home we would love to share with our guests. We recommend having a car as there are some Ubers in town that would come up here, but cars are more practical. With plenty of parking on site for up to eight vehicles.

This beautiful efficiency apartment is part of Inn of Nectar and has wonderful views. It is on our 5 acre property. There is an outside hot tub and gazebo and goes onto BLM hiking trails. Its only 20 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza and central to all the exciting things in Northern New Mexico. It is secluded but easy to get to the action

- "My husband and I stayed here with our dog. There is a gazebo on the property with 360 degree views; perfect for viewing sunrises and sunsets. I’m sure the star gazing is stupendous from there as well, but our AZ internal clock had us going to bed at sundown. The many crisscrossing trails on the adjoining BLM land were convenient for an early morning walk before embarking on the day’s adventures. This property is centrally located for excursions to Santa Fe and the Santa Fe National Forest, as well as Taos and the Rio Del Norte National Monument and Rio Grande Gorge. The casita itself was just right for 2 adults and a dog, and the king bed was quite comfy. My only regret is that the hot tub was not operational when we were there. If that’s important to you, you should check with the host before booking. All in all, if you are looking for something a bit off the beaten path, but in close proximity to a multitude of possible adventures, this is a great value for your dollar."

We are close to shopping and activities such as golf, yet we are also on five naturally landscaped acres in a peaceful setting. We especially welcome families with or without children. In the area are Indian ruins, whitewater rafting, hot springs, art galleries, the Santa Fe Opera, Flea Market, Sanctuario de Chimayo, Bandelier National Monument, Pueblos, casinos, and other activities.

The Non-Smoking house is built in charming, southwestern-style with vigas and satillo tile floors. We are a great setting for those seeking a spa-like vacation. We can provide natural meals, yoga, meditation, and massage. Nearby are several hot springs as well as our own state of the art hot tub. It also can be rented with the attached Kokopelli Suite which makes it a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with 2 tv's and an extra small kitchenette.Perfect if you want a little more distance from the kids or have grandparents along. Though you don't have to go outide to go from one to the other.
We also rent out our own larger house, Amrit Nivas, which sleeps 10+. Hope to see you soon.

This custom home was built by Nat Kaplan in 1966 and is located in Pajarito Acres in White Rock New Mexico, which is located about 10 miles from the town of Los Alamos and Los Alamos National Laboratory. The house sits on five acres which borders a large open expanse of protected land with hiking trails. The vast majority of our guests are either interns, post-docs, or others working at LANL.

Spacious house available with room for rent. Females only please. Large kitchen and living area with plenty for room to share. Office and backyard with fire pit as well. Room is fully furnished with a personal bathroom and driveway parking space.

The house is in a very quiet neighborhood. You will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. Walking distance to town and the Lab . The house is three story and very roomy with beautiful gardens and private patios .

The space
The studio is big and private ; it has it’s own patio , balcony with a grill and sitting table to enjoy the outdoor . Internet and cable with Netflix/ hulo / prime time ..,

Guests will have access to the Kitchen. Everything you need for cooking and a grill to enjoy a barbecue outdoors. Guest can have access to the living room, dining room , laundry room and office .

10 minute drive to downtown and central part of Los Alamos National Lab. There is a steep driveway and a set of stairs. Once in the room the bathroom is down a little hallway, maybe 10 feet with 3 steps. The room has a mini refrigerator, Keurig, small microwave, message chair, TV with Prime and Netflix. There are drinks, snacks, pods for coffee, tea. Each night stand has an outlet with plugs for phone and laptop.

The bath has towels, wash cloths, robes, soap, shampoo, conditioner.

The space
I think the best part about this room is the outside entrance. It gives a person more privacy coming and going. Based on reviews, people like that. Sometimes we meet guest, sometime not. The room has a queen size bed. We are early risers and our bedroom is above this one, something you should know if you are a light sleeper. The room does have a sound machine. PLEASE NOTE we do not have air conditioning but we do have an evaporative cooler. Los Alamos is at 7,500 feet. June is very hot, but the rains that usually come in the afternoons in July and August cool things down.

This is a private bedroom and bath room. Since it has an outside entrance, you don't have to enter any other part of the house.

Other things to note
Comments people have made is that they didn't know our home was so far from the downtown. It is a 10 minute drive to downtown or the main part of the lab. Also, our house is on a cliff. So, you have to walk up a steep driveway and then a flight of stairs.

Welcome! This newly renovated in-law suite/apartment, is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Los Alamos and a short walk to see some of the cities favorite attractions. Private entrance, room and restroom, King Bed, complimentary coffee, front yard access, clawfoot tub, WIFI and more!

The space
The entrance to the rental space is located on the bottom floor of a private residence (the walkout basement). As you enter, you will notice the picture windows, large open living room with a kitchenette. The double doors to the right will lead you into your private en-suite which features a king sized bed, 55 inch TV, dresser and lots of closet space. To the far right corner of the room is the newly renovated, and completely private, full bathroom which has a beautiful clawfoot tub. Only shared space with host are the deep freezer and pantry located in the front room, which is very seldomly accessed.

Rental space not currently available during winter/cold months due to furnace noise. If you don’t mind furnace noise and are interested in booking in the winter, please message me for availability.

If you don't have a car, no problem! The free county transit (Mon-Friday) shuttle is a short 5 minute walk from the house and can take you downtown, to the National Laboratory, White Rock and more!

Though your en-suite is private, there may be times that I need to get to the freezer or pantry (these areas are not available to guests unless pre-arranged) in the front room, or stock supplies for the Airbnb guest/s, but will not go down while guests are in, and I will not enter the bedroom or bathroom.

Casa Bear is a 4-guest apartment in southwestern style with private entrance, 8 mins from LANL.

The space
We live on the upper level of the property while you will have the entire lower level to yourself (690 sq ft apartment). This includes the adjacent part of the yard and covered patio with entertaining area.

You can enter the home directly from the patio via private entrance equipped with keypad door lock.

Main bedroom features rustic style queen size bed. You can enjoy mountain views right from your bed.

Office space in the bedroom provides work table with chair, charging station, table lamp, basic office supplies and... the view!

Another room is one large open space - kitchen with dining area and living room. Sofa in the living room is easily transformed into queen size bed. Mattress, pillows, comforter and extra blankets are provided in the adjacent closet. From the bed or sofa, you can watch 43" HDTV with HBO Max, Netflix, Roku etc. or admire the mountain on opposite side of the canyon.

Fully equipped kitchenette with electric cooktop allows to prepare meals. Basic spices and oil are provided. Kitchen features a fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. Hot drinks are provided. Kitchen cabinets have extra space to store food if needed. Fire extinguisher is in the cabinet under the cooktop.

Large rustic dining table easily accommodates the whole family or group of friends.

Bathroom with a shower provides towels (extras are in the bath cabinet), bath essentials, first aid kit, hair dryer and cleaning products.

You will have a large part of the yard to yourself. Most of it is flat terrain - it could serve as a playground for kids or hangout space for adults. You will be amazed by the depth of the canyon below and the mountain on the opposite side. However, the yard is not fenced and younger kids should be supervised by adults. Please make sure you do not go beyond the point where the terrain suddenly changes to steep rock cliff.

Be aware that you can meet wildlife on the yard - most often you can see deer. We are in a bear country however bears are rarely seen on our property. Please do not leave any food or garbage outside - this would attract wild animals.

Our quiet cul-de-sac is also a great place where our kids ride a bike, roller skate etc. If your kids want a real playground, there are 3 (!) just 0.3 miles walking distance at Barranca Elementary school.

Casa Bear vacation home is located 8 minutes from Los Alamos downtown and LANL.

Public transportation bus stop is just around the corner – the bus will take you around the town, to the lab and to White Rock.

You can hike or bike right from the home, no need to drive anywhere. Trail access to the canyons and rock mesas with scenic views of Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountains are just 0.3 miles away.

Pajarito ski resort is 15 minutes away, Bandelier National Monument and Valles Caldera National Preserve is approx. 20 minutes driving distance.

Other things to note
We live above your apartment so you might hear noise from upper level, similar to the one from next door hotel room. There is also a furnace in utility room on guest level. The noise would be similar to hotel room heater.

Guest room plus 1 hour experience meeting goats, a llama, mini horses about 3 minutes from the house. 10 min drive to downtown & central part of Los Alamos Lab. NOTE steep driveway and set of stairs. Once in room, bathroom is down short hallway, maybe 10 ft w/ 3 steps. Mini refrigerator, Keurig, microwave, massage chair, TV Prime and Netflix. Drinks, snacks, Keurig pods. Night stands have outlet w/ plugs for phone & laptop. Bath has towels, wash cloths, robes, soap, shampoo, conditioner.

The space
I think the best part about this room is the outside entrance. It gives a person more privacy coming and going. Based on reviews, people like that. Sometimes we meet guest, sometime not. The room has a queen size bed. We are early risers and our bedroom is above this one, something you should know if you are a light sleeper. The room does have a sound machine. PLEASE NOTE we do not have air conditioning. We do have a swamp cooler or evaporative cooler. Los Alamos is at 7,500 feet. June is very hot, but the rains that usually come in the afternoons in July and August cool things down.

This is a private bedroom and bath room. Since it has an outside entrance, you don't have to enter any other part of the house.

Other things to note
Comments people have made is that they didn't know our home was so far from the downtown. It is a 10 minute drive to downtown or the main part of the lab. Also, our house is on a cliff. So, you have to walk up a steep driveway and then a flight of stairs.

This custom home was built by Nat Kaplan in 1966 and is located in Pajarito Acres in White Rock New Mexico, which is located about 10 miles from the town of Los Alamos and Los Alamos National Laboratory. The house sits on five acres which borders a large open expanse of protected land with hiking trails. The vast majority of our guests are either interns, post-docs, or others working at LANL.

The space
Guests have access to the kitchen, dining room, living and family rooms as well as the pool. The living room has a shared TV with Roku service.
A large porch is available for relaxation with views of the Jemez Mountains. Numerous hiking trails are located behind the house and throughout the region.

Welcome to New Mexico! Located on the Pajarito Plateau, the Mesa Suite is your next private getaway! Tucked away in a quiet Los Alamos neighborhood, we offer a personal courtyard and entry, walk in shower, kitchenette, and plenty of wildlife. Nearby hiking trails have scenic views of the Sangre De Cristo and Jemez mountains. We are also a short drive from Bandelier National Monument, Valles Caldera, and Santa Fe Forest. Abiquiu, Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque are just an hour or two away.

The space
En-suite (approx. 400 sq ft) with private entrance and patio. Home is located on quiet cul-de-sac. In late summer of 2022 we furnished with a new queen size bed and mini-split hvac system. Rental has microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, and dishes so you can prepare your own meals (or get delivery from Los Alamos restaurants). Roku box provided with TV and access to high speed wifi and ethernet (separate network from main home). Laundry facilities are available in the main house upon your request. The backyard is also available for your use including basketball court and hot tub. For long term guests garden plots are also available. Fruit trees can be picked in season. Close to several hiking trails. Great place for a 1 night getaway or a long term stay.
