Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount. In contrast, cancellations made more than thirty (30) days before your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

This listing is for the "Master Cabin" it is the cabin to the right of the largest building seen in the main picture of this listing. It literally sits just feet from the banks of the Rio Grande River. Along with all of our cabins it has access to the river and all outside living and recreational areas including picnic areas, outdoor fire pits, hot tub, hammock, tree swing and river swimming hole. Please be sure to scroll through all the pictures so you are familiar with the layout of our place.

The Master Cabin is a 350 square foot Norwegian style hand hewn dovetail log cabin which we built ourselves. All the cabins sit on 8 1/2 secluded acres along the banks of the Rio Grande River, a "Gold Medal River" fishery as designated by the state of Colorado. There are 4 other cabins located on this property; we live in one (the 2-story cabin in the middle) the other 2 cabins are also available on VRBO individually or as a group, the Guest cabin (on the left) VRBO listing #953542 and the Studio VRBO listing # 953410 (it sits behind the cabins in the main picture). All 3 cabins are available to be rented as a group look for VRBO listing #422090.

This Master Cabin includes a queen size bed, leather chairs, full bathroom, gas fireplace, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, small fridge, coffee and coffee pot. This cabin does not include a kitchen but has an outdoor picnic table with sail shades, gas grill and sits by the main fire pit area which has grill grates and a fire pit wok.

We have inflatable kayaks, a raft and innertubes available for our guests to use free of charge (with waiver and damage deposit) to float in the river on a nice sunny day, 2-night minimum stay required. We will also shuttle guests for float trips when available and prearranged. In winter we also have snowshoes available for our guests to use and get out and explore the area.

Kayaks, rafts, tubes and snowshoes are all seasonal activities.

A stay at the Lost Elk Lodge in the heart of historic Jasper, Colorado, offers a unique, off-grid wilderness experience for young and old alike. From hiking to ATVing, hunting to fishing, wildlife viewing to just kicking back, there's a little something for everyone.

Built on the location of the old Cherokee Trading Post of a bygone era, the Lodge sits on an acre of commercial resort/tourist (CRT) land, with 300 feet of frontage on Forest Service Road 250 and a seasonal creek running next to it. It's powered by solar and propane with a gasoline generator as back-up. An artesian well supplies the cabin with fresh spring water.

The Lodge itself is approximately 1100 square feet with an additional 720 square feet of wood decks complete with outdoor furniture. Inside there are 2 bedrooms with room for cots, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan living and dining area. The place is fully furnished with everything you would need for a comfortable stay including bedding, towels, and all of the basic dry goods. Satellite internet and WiFi is also available for you to connect with the outside world whenever you so desire.

A short hike from the property takes you in to the Rio Grande National Forest where elk, deer, bear, big horn sheep, coyotes, game birds and countless other game are readily available. Likewise, the Platoro Reservoir is a short drive up the road and hosts freshly stocked trout and Kokanee salmon, not to mention all of the secret streams, lakes and ponds known by Jasper residents.

It sits back about 30 yards from the river and is on the 2nd level above a garage, the hot tub is on a deck just below it. Along with all of our cabins it has access to river and all outside living and recreational areas. Please be sure to scroll through all the pictures so you are familiar with the layout of our place.

The Studio is a 625 square foot Norwegian style cabin made with hand hewn dovetail logs which we built ourselves. All the cabins sit on 8 1/2 secluded acres along the banks of the Rio Grande River, a "Gold Medal River" fishery as designated by the state of Colorado. There are 4 other cabins located on this property; we live in one (the 2-story cabin in the middle) the other 2 cabins are also available on VRBO individually or as a group, the Guest cabin (on the left) VRBO listing #953542 and the Master cabin (on the right) VRBO listing #955968. And all 3 cabins are available to be rented as a group, look for VRBO listing #422090.

The Studio has a queen bed and sleeper sofa with feather bed which can accommodate 4 people (usually 2 adults 2 kids) possibly 5 if small kids. The Studio area has a flat screen TV, DVD player, high speed internet, Wi-Fi, efficiency stove with full size fridge, coffee pot, coffee, all essential cooking and eating utensils. The bathroom is a 3/4 bathroom and includes a washer and dryer.

We have inflatable kayaks, a raft and innertubes available for our guests to use free of charge (with waiver and damage deposit) to float in the river on a nice sunny day, 2-night minimum stay required. We will also shuttle guests for float trips when available and prearranged. In winter we also have snowshoes available for our guests to use and get out and explore the area.

Kayaks, rafts, tubes and snowshoes are all seasonal activities.

The spacious living room: has a direct view of Beaver mountain. It has a Smart TV and large sectional with 2 electric recliners and a pull-out queen sofa sleeper. There is also a large fireplace/sitting area (wood is provided in the cooler seasons). There is a private door to the front of the house.

The work space/small desk/office chair: is located in the living room.

The Kitchen: has been updated with new appliances, TV, maple butcher block island, and granite counter tops. It is fully stocked for your cooking needs. There is an Electric fireplace to heat and for ambiance. The dining room will seat 6 people. We have extension for the dining room table and additional chairs in the garage.

The Laundry room: has been updated with new washer and dryer, utility sink, and has a folding table + expandable clothes rack. It also has a large pantry.

The front patio, has four rockers and side tables to relax and enjoy the view of Beaver Mountain.

The back deck/patio: has been newly painted. There is a stainless steel propane grill with grilling accessories and a standalone propane fire pit. Also, Patio table/4 chairs and two low chairs and side table. The yard is fenced in closely with metal fencing. Our property extends past the fence and is a treed lot.

The Garage can accommodate one vehicle. Includes a ping pong table and dart board available for guest use. There are old coolers, camping chairs, and snow sleds available for use. There is a long driveway that can accommodate multiple cars and trailer.

This way we are able to offer flexible check in and check out times. Instructions on how to access apartment will be given after a quest books. Rocky Mountains surround you in this beautiful 2-bedroom 1-bath cabin. Its off grid, but with modern amenities. The property borders the Cumbres & Toltec Railway with a front porch view of the train during train season! Its a short walk to fishing and hiking in the Rio Grande National Forest. This four-season cabin can be especially enjoyable as a cozy retreat once snow flies and can be accessed by snowmobile, XC skis or snowshoes!

The cabin includes two bedrooms, one bathroom, one living/kitchen area, and two outdoor porches. Sleeps 4. Guests can use the inflatable queen-sized air mattress to sleep an additional 2. Snow sport enthusiasts will appreciate sturdy coat hooks, helmet hooks, and drying rack.

IMPORTANT: During the winter months, parking at the property is not guaranteed. Guests can access the cabin by snowshoes, XC skis, snowmobile, etc.

The cabin is in a remote area out of cell service. Guests may use the cabin Wi-Fi.

To our winter guests: be prepared to park in the public lot off the highway 500 yards from the cabin. Snowshoes/XC skis/snowmobiles are absolutely necessary for winter stays. We try to keep a plowed parking space directly at the cabin, however we don’t guarantee any specific timeframe for plowing. Guests are welcome to park at the cabin if plowed, but please don’t get snowed in! Good neighbor house rules: Pets must be approved and pet fee applies. All pet waste must be disposed of.
No smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes. No recreational marijuana use of any kind.

Security cameras monitor the east porch, the driveway to the north, and the meadow to the south.

Complete in 2021, Max's Cabin is our first site-built cabin/tiny home! This cabin was designed, with our help, by a Pagosa Springs architect to include interesting and rustic features. The footprint is 420 sq. feet, but this tiny home has a 200 sq. ft. standing-height sleeping loft for a total of 620 sq. ft. The tall ceiling makes the cabin feel very spacious!

This cabin is ADA accessible, but every effort was made to make it comfortable and functional for all guests. This cabin has a small kitchen, with an electric cooktop, refrigerator, large sink and eating bar. Outside there is a gorgeous covered patio, which is very private looking up toward Del Norte Peak.

Welcome to this newly updated cute little cozy cottage just blocks away from Downtown Alamosa. This little cottage has everything you should need for your stay. The very comfortable bed is so inviting and welcomes you in after your walk around town to the nearby shops, restaurants, and breweries.  This cottage location is truly unbeatable! Bring your pet. We have a secure locked in patio so you know they are safe when you let them out.

We are small, but everything you should need is here! A Mini-fridge, small microwave, and a small oven/range, and a Keurig coffee maker. Our bathroom, however, is a nice size and is supplied with almost all of the essentials (shampoo/conditioner, body wash, hair dryer). We even have a little ironing board with iron. 

In the summer we have outside tables and chairs for your enjoyment. Let this be the welcome home place to stay after your grand adventures outside that the Alamosa area has to offer.

The front door is the airbnb private entrance, the the airbnb rooms are to the left. The living-dining area common space and has a Kuerig machine for complimentary coffee or tea and croissants (nearly always available!). The chickens cooped up in the enclosed garden usually welcome visitors!

During your stay
We're international. Host Peter, who lives and works in a separate part of the house, speaks several European languages (some some Khmer) and is available most of the time to answer any questions.

When both airbnb rooms are booked to separate parties, which rarely occurs, the airbnb bathroom is shared. The kitchen's available to borrow dishes, cutlery, mugs and to boil hot water; limited cooking availability for longer-staying guests.

LOGE Wolf Creek, formerly The Wolf Creek Ski Lodge is the last stop on the way to Wolf Creek Ski Area. Our newly renovated property offers RV pads accommodate smaller RVs. The Blue Sky Room is painted with colors of the Colorado sky and earth using natural pigment plasters.
The window blinds are of high quality and effective. As rule in Passive Solar home: Blinds up during the day, blinds down during night.
Hot water kettle, small frig. ,tea, and hot chocolate are complimentary in the room. French Press, coffee in freezer of main kitchen. One shelf space is available in the big frig. A movable oil-fin heater provided.
Since this is a "shoes off home" in high altitude Colorado you will be more comfortable if you have some house socks or slippers to wear indoors. Fresh sun dried all natural fibre towels provided. There is a extra cleaning pet fee of $10.-- payable upon arrival. In general pets are required to be on lease, here in the Baca sub. div., as well in the town of Crestone.

Guest access
Guest are welcome to enjoy the home's kitchen, bathroom and extensive outdoor spaces. Please respect the parking signage, stop at the chain. You will need to carry your belongings to the house, about 200 feet, so please pack accordingly.

During your stay
I am available throughout the day. I will let you know if I will be away a significant amount of the day. If I know your plans early in the day he can be available as needed.

Other things to note
The weather in Colorado is unpredictable. Plan for cold temperatures year round and snow, November to April. Count on some sun most days of the year. The sun is intense at this altitude, a wide rimmed hat and sunscreen are a highly recommended. The water in Crestone is of the highest quality, straight from the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. It taste delicious and is cool right out of the fountain-tap, in main kitchen. Bring a re-usable water bottle for excursions and you will not be disappointed. Welcome to Del Norte, Colorado, a charming and vibrant community nestled in the beautiful San Luis Valley and in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains.

Located in close proximity to local shops and dining, this cabin provides easy access to nearby attractions, including hiking trails, fishing spots, skiing resorts, and national parks.

This cabin has a full kitchen for meals, a washer & dryer for cleaning up, and a queen size bed/futon/loft for up to 5 to rest comfortably. Minimum 30 day stay

Other things to note
1 dog upon breed and size approval. No cats due to allergies.

Bright corner private room with queen-size bed and private entrance/hallway and bath. Complimentary coffee or tea/hot water and croissants available in common dining-living area.

The space
Our house is a single-story stuccoed home in a quiet location with views a few minutes from town.

Guest access
The front door is the airbnb private entrance welcoming you to the airbnb part of the house to the left. The living-dining area is common space with a Kuerig machine for complimentary coffee/tea & croissants (usually available). The kitchen is available to boil hot water and borrow cutlery, dishes, and glasses/mugs.

During your stay
Host Peter, who speaks several European languages (and some Khmer), lives & works in a separate part of the house and is available most of the time to answer any questions.

Other things to note
If both airbnb rooms are booked by separate parties, which rarely occurs, the airbnb bathroom is shared.

Historical building in downtown Del Norte, CO. Apartment is above a restaurant and in walking distance to retail shops including a local microbrewery restaurant. Just a short drive to Wolf Creek ski area and other local attractions.
We now have a portable air conditioner unit available in the apartment.

The space
queen bed, walk in shower only, working kitchen including coffee maker, toaster, microwave, refrigerator, oven/stove, shared washer and dryer in hallway. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, with eating and cooking utensils. There is a staircase to walk up to studio apartment.
We now have an air conditioning and heating unit in the apartment.
As of 10/2016, We added a TV with DVD player that has wifi. There is NO cable.

Guest access
Keypad entrance into hallway that leads up to apartment, hallway has access to the washer and dryer, key lock box to access apartment key at door for easy check in and out.
