I was told that Expedia has been asked several times to mention this but have failed to do so. " - "Older property, trailer more than a cottage and dated. Only a window unit that was not large enough to cool the whole place. Being hot in CO when paying to stay at what seemed online like a new place was frustrating. Tub was only about 18 inches wide and missing drain plug. Shower worked but you were bumping the wall and pushing the curtain out the whole time as it as too narrow even for a child. No baking pans. Had a couple of skillets and one small pot/pan but we bought cookie dough for our anniversary only to not have anything to cook them in. Did have nice washer dryer room and small pool outside along with a small game room. We did not check out the indoor pool. Pools close at 8 PM which is frustrating when you are there to explore the area and wanted to come back and swim later when it was so hot (heat wave for the area and way too small ac on the cottage). Place was fairly clean but not the details---like a teen had cleaned it or someone in a hurry. Crumbs on the chair seats, sinks grungy in places, most of floor clean, and such. Honestly, I think if the ac had been big enough to chill the trailer, it would have been so much better!"

Beautiful and cozy. Built in 1939, this home was completely remodeled into elegance in 2018 while keeping the historic feeling with the original floors and clay walls. The upstairs has a queen bed and a full bath with Jacuzzi tub/shower. The main level is an open floor plan for the living/kitchen/dinning. The couch has a queen pull out bed with a memory foam mattress. There is a in floor heat that is on a thermostat for constant comfort in the cooler months, while the thick adobe walls keep the house nice and cool in the summer months. The bedroom on the main level has a queen bed. There is also another full bath on the main level. There is an oversized entryway with washer and dryer. This is very convenient for gear and bags, keeping your living space clutter free.
The Cottage is located right off the main road toward Crested Butte, about 2 miles north of Gunnison. It is conveniently located near (walking distance) to one of the main river put ins. Also Walking distance to one of Gunnisons best restaurants, Garlic Mikes, and walking distance to the bus stop that runs between Crested Butte and Gunnison.

Pet friendly! Built in 2006 and just remodeled with new appliances and paint, this charming cabin on a private cattle and horse ranch is surrounded by fragrant sagebrush and chokecherry bushes and offers views, privacy, and peace. There is a large fenced yard, a private patio with furniture including cushions, a gas BBQ grill, and a chimenea with firewood provided. Inside, you have a full kitchen, a bedroom, and a full bathroom that includes a new washer and dryer. In the living room, you will find a new pull out queen sized couch, a recliner, a TV, and a woodburning stove. there is a dining table for 4 and an eating bar with two stools as well. The porch offers evening sun, while the patio has morning sun- a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! We have plenty of parking, so if you are bringing a boat, your snowmobile trailer, or your side by sides, you will have no problem parking and turning around. This is the only cabin on our ranch other than our private home, which is barely visible from the porch of the cabin due to large bushes and trees. You are less than 15 minutes from downtown Gunnison and Gunnison Regional Airport, and about 40 minutes from Mt. Crested Butte. You can also drive East on Highway 50 and be at Monarch Mountain Ski Resort in 35 minutes. Blue Mesa Lake is less than 30 minutes away. Our gate is located between mile markers 167 and mile marker 168 on US HWY 50. Google map may be slightly off, so look for the gate between those mile markers. We have added photos of our gate and wagon wheel mail box to help you recognize us.

We are less than a half mile from BLM property where you can explore on foot, horse back, 4 wheeler, or go hunt for Elk or Mule deer! Go ice skating, take in a hockey game at the ice center or visit the Gunnison Community Center and go swim or rock climb year around! You will not lack for something to do or see! This home couldn`t be more comfortable with 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, 2 living areas, and a fabulous setting right on the river. Located at the end of the road, this oasis property has it all for your next family vacation! The owners have gone out of their way to provide a true Colorado retreat.

Upon entering through the family room, you immediately get the sense that relaxation won't be a problem on this trip! With a large flat panel television, seating for the whole family, views out to the river, a game table and shuffleboard, this room sets the tone for the whole home. There is a brand new full bath in this room for convenience or the dedicated use of one of the guest bedrooms down the hall.

Leave the family room and you will find two bedrooms and another full bathroom. One guest bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has another queen bed and also a daybed/trundle combo.

The end of the hall opens into the great room with new rock fireplace and inset flat panel TV. With vaulted ceilings and trophy mounts from a lifetime of hunting, this room is the definition of comfortable. The kitchen is open with a pass through to the great room so everyone is involved when the family gathers. Around the corner is the dining room with seating for 10 and a wall of picture windows which look out to the backyard and over the river.

Upstairs you will find a third bedroom with queen sleigh bed and it`s own en-suite bath, along with, the master bedroom with king bed and huge master bath featuring dual vanities, jetted tub, and an oversized glass shower. Completely remodeled in 2017, this two bedroom, one bath cabin is on the Gunnison River. The cabin is on 2.5 acres of riverfront property and across a footbridge that will take you to the Water Park (my balance isn't great and with no handrails, I do not use it).The Dos Rios Grill and Golf Course (open to the public) is a lovely .5 mile walk. A great spot for kayaking, trout fishing spot, and an excellent base camp for exploring the Gunnison valley.Located just miles from Hartman Rocks Rec area, Blue Mesa Reservoir, 2miles from downtown Gunnison, Colorado, 1/2 mile from Dos Rios Golf Course and 30 miles from Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. Enjoy skiing, rafting, fly fishing, and biking right out your front door!We are in the flight path, but it's Gunnison airport, not DIA. I think the planes are cool to watch when they do fly over.

This beautiful custom home is a comfortable private retreat in the middle of the mountains, yet minutes away from restaurants, grocery stores, downtown shopping and all the activities this area has to offer. It's the best of both worlds! Located five minutes East of downtown Gunnison, 30 minutes to Crested Butte and 10 minutes to Blue Mesa Reservoir. This home is 2500 square feet consisting of the following: Main floor: Open floor plan with a large kitchen, breakfast bar that seats three, dining area that seats six and large living room with a fireplace. There are two full bathrooms and one bedroom with two twin sized beds. Second floor: Game room (stocked with games, puzzles, cards, poker table, etc) that has a day bed with one twin bed, the master bedroom with one king size bed, the junior master bedroom with one queen bed and one large bathroom with a combination shower/tub. Multiple large closets are throughout the home, so there is no problem getting organized! With more than eight acres immediately adjacent to thousands of acres of BLM property there is ample room to hike and hunt big game literally right out your back door. Life in the "high country" doesn't get much better than this.

Back on the VRBO market! We took the 2024 year off so I could enjoy my sabbatical and now we are back and ready to host!

This beautiful home sits on over 2 acres of land with more than 1,000 ft of riverfront access on Gunnison River, and Clarke stream on the other side. Beautiful paradise awaits! This very private house sits at the end of the road - most people don't even realize there's a house back there!

With five bedrooms and three bathrooms, this house comfortably fits the needs of 10 people. Downstairs guests can be entertained watching TV in the living room or dining room. In order to provide better access to some of our tenants, we remodeled the downstairs den, converting it into a fantastic bedroom w/walk in closet - brand new king size bed. There is ample seating and amazing views from the dining area next to the full kitchen. We recently upgraded the fridge/freezer, and now have a new flat top stove!

A gigantic backyard deck will fulfill your needs for relaxing comfort while listening to the water flowing. You are surrounded by water. This house sits on a peninsula which provides amazing fishing opportunities and an undeniably serene experience.

My husband and son took the rental car 2 days to go fishing so we took advantage of the awesome free Gunnison-CB bus. Picks up and drops off at the Tall Texan stop which was a super easy walk from the house. Speaking of walking distance, Garlic Mike’s was nearly right across the street. They have live music Fridays and Saturdays. Perfect trip!"

2 bedroom home located 100 feet from the pristine Gunnison River.

The home is on 2.5 acres of riverfront property and across a footbridge that will take you to the Gunnison White Water Park (my balance isn't great and with no handrails, I do not use it). Located just miles from Hartman Rocks Rec area, Blue Mesa Reservoir, 2miles from downtown Gunnison, Colorado, 1/2 mile from Dos Rios Golf Course and 30 miles from Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. Enjoy skiing, rafting, fly fishing, and biking right out your front door! Plenty of room for your RV and trailers. Only one mile from the Crested Butte ski shuttle stop. We are in the flight path, but it's Gunnison airport, not DIA. I think the planes are cool to watch when they do fly over.

This property is shared with The River House on the river. All hammocks, firepits, and picnic tables are there for the two homes to share. There is alotof room, so play nice (don't choose the space directly in front of the River House) and enjoy this park-like atmosphere!

- "House was perfect for us, loved watching the Gunnison river roll by out my window. Very comfortable, loved the king size bed. No complaints, our son dropped by on way to camping & was very impressed." - "We visit Gunnison annually and this is the first time we’ve chosen to stay near town. I was concerned about being so near the airport but it really wasn’t an issue. The house had everything we needed for the week and I did a good bit of cooking. We didn’t frequent the river as much as I had planned but we did fish at Taylor’s reservoir and lake Erwin. It would have been really fun to float the Gunnison so maybe next time. The only issue we had at the house was we only had two wash clothes. So with five of us needing showers daily I just purchased extras at the Walmart down the road and left them for the next guests to also have use of hopefully. I would recommend this house and hope to rent again someday."

You are also across the street from a Bike Path that leads you to Downtown Gunnison, just 3 Miles away.

Walk into the house straight into the newly added master bedroom with master bath. Straight into bed with your comfortable view of the river to begin your relaxing stay.
Bunk (twin over queen) bedroom and bathroom are just off of the living room. The second king bedis located in the loft that overlooks the living room

The neighboring property is Virgil's Cabin. Book both, and bring friends! Grandpa and Virgil were best friends. They knew what they were doing.
