- "I like how much they had to do for fun" - "The staff was very nice and gave me a full refund because Expedia failed to mention that you need to supply your own sheets and towels. I was told that Expedia has been asked several times to mention this but have failed to do so. " - "Older property, trailer more than a cottage and dated. Only a window unit that was not large enough to cool the whole place. Being hot in CO when paying to stay at what seemed online like a new place was frustrating. Tub was only about 18 inches wide and missing drain plug. Shower worked but you were bumping the wall and pushing the curtain out the whole time as it as too narrow even for a child. No baking pans. Had a couple of skillets and one small pot/pan but we bought cookie dough for our anniversary only to not have anything to cook them in. Did have nice washer dryer room and small pool outside along with a small game room. We did not check out the indoor pool. Pools close at 8 PM which is frustrating when you are there to explore the area and wanted to come back and swim later when it was so hot (heat wave for the area and way too small ac on the cottage). Place was fairly clean but not the details---like a teen had cleaned it or someone in a hurry. Crumbs on the chair seats, sinks grungy in places, most of floor clean, and such. Honestly, I think if the ac had been big enough to chill the trailer, it would have been so much better!"

Built in 2006 and just remodeled with new appliances and paint, this charming cabin on a private cattle and horse ranch is surrounded by fragrant sagebrush and chokecherry bushes and offers views, privacy, and peace. There is a large fenced yard, a private patio with furniture including cushions, a gas BBQ grill, and a chimenea with firewood provided. Inside, you have a full kitchen, a bedroom, and a full bathroom that includes a new washer and dryer. In the living room, you will find a new pull out queen sized couch, a recliner, a TV, and a woodburning stove. there is a dining table for 4 and an eating bar with two stools as well. The porch offers evening sun, while the patio has morning sun- a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! We have plenty of parking, so if you are bringing a boat, your snowmobile trailer, or your side by sides, you will have no problem parking and turning around. This is the only cabin on our ranch other than our private home, which is barely visible from the porch of the cabin due to large bushes and trees. You are less than 15 minutes from downtown Gunnison and Gunnison Regional Airport, and about 40 minutes from Mt. Crested Butte. You can also drive East on Highway 50 and be at Monarch Mountain Ski Resort in 35 minutes. Blue Mesa Lake is less than 30 minutes away. Our gate is located between mile markers 167 and mile marker 168 on US HWY 50. Google map may be slightly off, so look for the gate between those mile markers. We have added photos of our gate and wagon wheel mail box to help you recognize us.

Past and above the bunk beds is a stairway that leads to the master bath and bedroom. Turn to the left past the stairs is a new bedroom with a king bed. On the other side of the house there is a bathroom and above the bathroom/Kitchen area is a loft with another two twin beds. The stairs to get to this is a ladder and not recommended for everyone (it's straight up and down against the wall).

- "I am turning 70 this year and my son is celebrating his 6-year anniversary. We decided to make the mountains and Colorado our destination for celebrating and it worked out great as we already have one son living in Crested Butte. We had a great week together and loads of outdoor activities. i recommend these locations for family, this property fit all 9 of us comfortably. Very scenic on the river, close to town and restaurants, I would do it again."

Located 20 minutes from Gunnison, 35 minutes from the Crested Butte ski slopes, just west of Almont, this cabin lies in an extra-ordinarily beautiful valley setting. It is in the Ohio Valley. Access to the National Forest.
We are looking for a couple only. Pets are welcome.
Fish in your own creek, build a fire in the firepit, gaze up at the stars. We have a new hot tub! You can board horses in the barn if you like, but that is not necessary as Almont is very close, and has great horseback riding facilities, river rafting, pond fishing, etc. Check out the ghost town of Baldwin. Drive over the Ohio Pass to Crested Butte in summer (from June onward) - it's called the 'Scenic Loop', for a gourmet dinner. Outdoor grill, linens provided.
The owner's house is just down the road - not far away at all. Dogs are welcome, as are horses. We'll put them in the barn. There is floor heating and a wood burning stove also. The wood is provided. If you don't have a horse, several local outfitters will be happy to provide them.
Connectivity! Yes we have direct tv. We have wifi - but not super fast wifi so don't plan on streaming! Remember we are in the country! We also have spotty cellphone service, so to counteract this we have a phone in the cabin you can use - but don't do international calls, of course!
Used as a hunting cabin in the fall, this cabin has multiple access to Unit 54, prime hunting grounds for deer and elk. In season, there are private group hunting packages: pick up at the airport, gourmet meal preparation, guiding if desired, animal packing. Please call for details.

Cabins 23-25 and 30 are all identical. They sit at the base of “Lookout Point” in perhaps the most peaceful off-river setting on the resort property. These one bedroom cabins provide all of the basics. The cabin has a separate bedroom, living area and kitchen. Outside there is an open, covered patio with picnic table.

The only thing to keep in mind is that the tradeoff for the views and remoteness is traveling on curvy gravel roads that can be a bit rough and slow. It is totally worth it in our opinion, though!"

Leo's West Elk Ranch sleeps a large group (8-12) comfortably with singles and bunk bed setups. Our cabin is laid out much like a loft. The first floor has the kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and a full size bathroom with toilet, tub/ shower combo & an extra outhouse outside! On the second floor, you have a lounging area with 2 single beds and hammock to chill out The beds are supported with air mattresses, covers, sleeping bags, and pillows.

welcome to a working cattle ranch! the 600 square foot cabin has a woodburning stove, a large fenced yard, and privacy. you will be the only other house on our 185 acre ranch. located 10 miles east of Gunnison, there is plenty of room for parking so if you have your snowmobiles or off road atvs with you, you will have no problem turning around! you will have views of hay meadows, an arena, and horse pastures. we are pet friendly! ask about flyfishing opportunities on our property.

10 miles east of Gunnison off of US HWY 50, you will find our quiet ranch. you need a gate code to access our property so if privacy and security are your concerns, you will have that here! peaceful and private sums it up!

Guest access
in addition to the bedroom, the couch pulls out and an extra comfy foam mattress topper is included to make it the best pull out you have ever experienced. you have a large parking area, a fenced yard, patio, chiminea, and great views. you are welcome to walk your dogs on the long driveway and on hay meadows. if you would like to meet the horses while you are here, just ask us while we are out and about doing chores. please be sure your dog is leashed while outside the fenced yard to prevent any issues with cattle or horses.

Other things to note
since we are a working cattle ranch, ask before going thru gates or out into pastures. the horses may be friendly, but the bulls are not. just make sure highway gate closes behind you when leaving property as horses on the highway are our worst nightmare!

The space
this is a beautiful 2 bedroom cabin in the Ohio valley just outside of Gunnison with a river nearby, a huge valley, a firepit for the night and a hot tub. Full kitchen. There is one bathroom, and you have to walk thru the second bedroom to get there, so a couple!

the whole cabin and the whole area. We do charge a $150 pet fee. please give georgia a check for $150 if you plan to bring a pet

Connectivity! Yes we have direct tv. We have wifi - but not super fast wifi so don't plan on streaming! Remember we are in the country! We also have spotty cellphone service, so to counteract this we have a phone in the cabin you can use - but don't do international calls, of course!

Whether you are relaxing, fishing, or boating, this is the spot! This cabin has 2 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 living areas, lots of other rooms with beds, & a HUGE deck with 360 degree views! There is a full basement w/ a ping pong table and games, a wood burning fire-place in the main living room, a loft with extra beds, and a fully-stocked kitchen.

Guests have access to the entire home & deck.

There is NO WIFI.
The road between Gunnison & our cabin (Lake Fork Marina) is under construction. Please refer to the information on the C-DOT website about HWY 50 construction.

Enjoy the peace and quiet while looking at beautiful scenery at this amazing secluded custom home. It’s located ten miles off the highway on an improved dirt road that can be tough at times. There’s lots of public land and roads to ride and explore. There’s Wildlife watching from the porch. There’s Deer, elk and lots of birds in the summer. This property makes a great home base for riding the public roads and trails that are in there area. Also, a home base during hunting season in unit 67.

The space
Enjoy this secluded off the grid solar powered house with big beautiful views and public lands near by to explore and relax.

Guests can use the entire house and property inside the fenced area near the house. But need to stay out of the power shed and garage
