San Juan Chalet Cabin is located just 1.5 blocks from main street. So you can walk to everything in Ouray even the Hot Springs! San Juan Chalet Cabin has wonderful mountain views and a nice private yard surrounded by Lilac and Aspen trees. The Lilacs bloom in late May and early June. Our 'Cabin' is a favorite among return guests. The Secret Garden B&B is directly to the west. We have a picnic table and grill so you can enjoy your meals outside and soak in the beautiful mountain scenery. The views are spectacular and everything in town is within walking distance. The house is in an alleyway right behind main st so if you want to check out the shops or eat, you can do so with ease. ASPEN HOUSE, an historic cabin with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, sleeps up to 8 people in a king, two queens, and a daybed with trundle. One of the home’s two bathrooms is closed during the winter months due to its location (outside the mudroom).

Although our home’s historic charm is a key draw, there is no shortage of modern-day conveniences like WiFi and satellite TV, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, pellet stove, and electric heat. There is parking for up to three small vehicles in the driveway, and street parking is also available during the summer.

ASPEN HOUSE is also known as the George Wright House, built in 1878, and is steps away from historic sites and great adventures. The cabin's quaint structure is located on Historic Oak Street, which runs along the Uncompahgre River and is part of the Perimeter Trail. Its quaint white structure sits approximately one-quarter mile from the Box Canon Falls, Ouray Ice Park, and Main Street shops and restaurants.

The unobstructed views from ASPEN HOUSE are second to none! Look over Ouray, Cascade Falls, Chief Ouray Mine and many other landmarks including the beautiful, towering peaks (including Mt. Abram, Mt. Parking: There is room for 4 vehicles. Trailers of any size will need to be dropped at the top of Red Mountain Pass, there's a large parking area for trailers. You can unload on CR 31. Coming from Silverton turn right onto CR31, its the first entrance to CR 31, driving from Ouray it's the second entrance close to the top of the pass, on the left.

Maximum occupancy and the number of guests indicated in your reservation at the time of booking are strictly enforced. Overnight guests who are not at the party as indicated at the time of booking are not permitted. If the number of overnight guests exceeds the number indicated on the reservation, guests will be charged accordingly.

Although the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has advised that Covid-19 is spread mainly by person-to-person contact, we follow CDC guidance relative to cleaning and disinfecting and are following best practices, including paying close attention to high touch surfaces and using the EPA-approved disinfectants for surfaces. The Smokehouse Restaurant (summer seasonal) is on our adjacent property, or guests may bring their own portable grill / propane stove to use outside the cabin. A community gas grill is available. Each cabin also has its own picnic table adjacent to the Ouray Riverwalk. All guests have access to the (2) onsite heated saltwater spas.

All linens and towels are included with the camping cabins for your convenience. Our camping cabins will sleep up to 4 guests.

Cabins are all non-smoking. Guests may smoke cigarettes ONLY at the picnic tables located outside of the cabin but must properly dispose of cigarette butts.
