There were no directions anywhere for the ceiling fan. We finally figured out there was a remote left on one of the night tables for it. Also, there were no directions on how to use the two remotes for the television. We did figure it out. There were no instructions on how to use the fireplace. The only thing posted said, “Do not use wood” or something to that effect. The largest complaint is that when my husband moved the portable space heater (which was is very poor shape [everything loose] there was a syringe on the floor. We didn’t touch it, but put the heater back when we were leaving. "

The space
Hodge Podge Lodge (aka HPL) was born out of our love for things that bring people together: the mountains, rich American history, a crackling fire, a good book or challenging puzzle, outdoor sports, family game night, some live music and sitting outside watching the stars. The eclectic nature of the home is all about family time in the high desert mountains of the Southwest. It's one of our favorite places to be!

As you enter, the cozy living room with a cast iron wood-burning stove, record player, historical literature and music wall greets you with the feeling of home. A step back in time to a simpler life!

The kitchen is renovated and fully stocked. It has a stove/oven, blender, pots and pans, a number of baking trays and tins, an instant pot, children's dinnerware, wine glasses and all necessary utensils, spices and oils. There is no dishwasher in the cabin, so you will have to do dishes by hand.

The dining area boasts a beautiful large antique table, full coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar and all the board games you will ever need to make evenings fun with family or friends. A massive floor to ceiling sliding glass door gives you a view of the mountainside across the hill.

Bedroom one has the kids library and a twin over double bunk bed. Bedroom two "the cowboy room" has a dresser, queen bed and one twin bed with trundle.

HPL only has one bathroom! It is well stocked with all necessary bathroom items. Septic safe toilet paper and natural waste are the only things allowed down the toilet, a clogged septic is a bad (and costly) day for all!

The upper room is a studio entertainment room with two couches (one is a pull out bed with memory foam mattress) and a king bed. There is a large family friendly DVD/blue-ray collection to choose from and an old school nintendo system to play. The puzzle table is located in the upper room and there is always a puzzle to add to. The smart TV allows you to access your streaming services.

The property is family focused and thus, children are welcomed! There is a pack and play under the bed in room one. However, the home is not child-proof. Everything from infant toys and books to board games and chapter books are available.

Walking trails have been cut through the trees in the mountain and within those trails you will find a tin-can BB gun/slingshot range; bring your gear! Parents, you must supervise your children!! The property has hammocks, multiple tree swings and a swing set. This truly is a wild place, and outdoor time here is a must! However, with that wild comes the potential of critters. On any given day you never know what kind of wildlife will come meandering through the property. While the house is professionally treated for pests, this is the mountains and you may occasionally see spiders or other native southwest species in/around the home.

HPL is equipped with lightning fast Starlink internet. Wi-Fi calling through Starlink is available as service can be spotty.

Dogs are welcomed at Hodge Podge Lodge! Dogs must be crated when owner is not present. Dogs must be housebroken and no puppies please. Pet fee is 50.00 per stay, and with approval guest can have up to 2 dogs. The home is stocked with some essentials for your pup.

Fire restrictions are often in effect in the mountains. The propane outdoor fire pit provides a year round alternative. The indoor pot belly wood burning stove is available to guests in winter months only. Guests must bring their own wood.

Parking at HPL is located both down at the base of driveway and at the top of the driveway. In winter, a 4x4 vehicle and/or chains may be needed to get up the driveway. If necessary, you may park at the base of the driveway and walk the trails up to the home. The base of the driveway can hold a small trailer if needed and multiple quads, side by sides or motorcycles will fit in the parking areas. The gate to the property does have a padlock for the safety and security of your vehicles.

Guest access
The entire property, with the exception of a few locking cabinets and outbuildings are open to guest use. The firewood outside is not for guest use. The zipline and off-road vehicle and trailer are personal property with liability that insurance does not allow to be used by guests.

The space
Our beautiful cabin is fully furnished with everything you need for a fabulous getaway in a quiet private neighborhood. There is a full kitchen with a Keurig (some select cups provided) and regular coffee maker (coffee provided), waffle maker, blender, and more. Please help yourself to use any of these. We have 2 family rooms where 1 is equipped with many board games, dvd's, and popcorn maker (owner will provide popcorn for your use). There is also wifi (which can sometimes be spotty) and direct tv. There are also several bicycles that you may use at your own caution (most of neighborhood is dirt roads and have some slight hills). We also love to go sledding and have many sleds that may be used at your own caution as well (please ask us about our favorite sledding spot just 3 short miles away.)

The room with queen lodge pole bed is only inside access to back family room (red walls), master bedroom, and back deck. You can go through the garage and around to the front door if this is an inconvenience of going through a bedroom.

There will also be a $175 cleaning fee charged.

We do not have trash service so you will need to take your trash with you.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO parties or events.

The space
An Original, Rustic, Quirky and Cute Log Cabin! It's close to Downtown yet a feels like being in a park or the country! The Log Cabin has 1 bedroom with a really comfy Serta Luxury Mattress...so high you'll need a step stool to get in and feel like the "Princess and the Pea"! There's a Full Kitchen, Sparkling Bathroom & Cozy Gas Stove that heats the Cabin. There's even a little heater on the Front Porch with Rocking Chairs!
In the back is a Grill and Patio table.
The Meadow is out front of the Cabin. Beyond the meadow is a seasonal creek! It runs after Monsoon Season in July or August or after snow melts in the winter. There is seating in the Meadow and anti-gravity chairs to gaze at the stars and meteors! The Seasonal Creek, the Meadow, the birds and the wildlife are encouraged with our Native and drought-tolerant plantings so we often have javelina, raccoons, skunks! It keeps us busy!
If you need a 2 bedroom we have a Gorgeous 2 Bedroom Casita or a 2 Bdrm Cottage available if this is booked! All are private, have their own driveways, patios, porches, grills and yards! And all have access to the Meadow and the Seasonal Creek!

Other things to note
We purchased the property in 2016 with the help of the previous owners who'd owned it for 40 years! Dave and I are both in Housing: Construction and Sales. With both of us self-employed in the housing industry we lost about everything (except each other!) in the housing crash. After business losses and personal losses we moved to Prescott, nearly on a whim! We rented from another couple we just met who believed in us and loaned us the down payment for this parcel of land. We started thinking about the possibilities of such a cute property and did a little work on the Log Cabin but tried to keep it mostly intact, even with its funky fixes by other owners and tenants. Cedar Meadow Cabin is a newly renovated cabin in Pine, Arizona. just 90 minutes from Phoenix, it's a quick escape to this mountain getaway. The cabin is close to hiking, fishing, restaurants, shops, and more.

The space
When you arrive at Cedar Meadow Cabin you can park in our driveway that comfortably fits two cars. The front deck has comfortable chairs where we love to drink coffee and watch the local elk that wander through the yard. It’s also a perfect place to catch the sunset as it illuminates the Mongolian Rim. The area has an abundance of wildlife and elk are often seen nearby or on the property. This cabin is the perfect mix of modern and rural living, making it the ideal getaway.


When you enter the cabin you will be in the sunroom. This space is perfect for morning coffee, an afternoon book, or a quiet mid-day retreat.

The small kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials. We provide a Keurig, toaster, oven, and microwave. Our kitchen does not have a dishwasher. The kitchen opens up into the living room where you will find a comfortable couch, a fireplace, and a smart TV. Netflix will be logged in for you to use and you may log into your other accounts. The cabin has several windows that provide a cross breeze of fresh air and lots of natural light!

There is one queen bed with luxury bedding, blackout shades, and separate temperature control.

Additional Sleeping:
The sunroom does have a full-size sofa sleeper and the couch can be made into a twin bed. These would be suitable for children, but an adult may not find this sleeping arrangement comfortable. The cabin can accommodate a family of 4.

Bathroom:
The cabin has one bathroom with a tub and shower, plenty of towels, and all environmentally safe essential products are provided for you to use during your stay.

Other things to note
The entrance has an electric keypad for an easy self check-in process.

The cabin is located in a neighborhood. We greatly appreciate our neighbors and ask that you be respectful of them and aware of noise levels at night.


We have the best WIFI we are able to get for our area, but streaming multiple devices can make the WIFI spotty and slow.

We do not provide the small propane tanks for the firepit and recommend you get some from a gas station /general store down the street.

There may be fire restrictions throughout the year due to certain weather conditions.


The house has a new mini-split HVAC air conditioner and heater. There are separate units and controls for the bedroom and the main living area.

There is one security camera located in the driveway pointed towards the driveway and the deck steps. This camera will begin recording for short periods when movement is detected in driveway throughout your stay.

Relax with the family or take a girls/guys trip and stay at this cute and unique A-frame, that is surrounded by tall pines located right in the middle of Pinetop!

The space
When you arrive to the Snowed Inn A-Frame, you will see how unique it is right away. The layout of this place is different, yet what makes it so cute!! Please note the place is very dainty and some of the areas are very small and can be a tight squeeze. It is also a very quirky place, if you love perfection, this might again not be the place for you as it was built in the 70’s. We LOVE our quirky&dainty little place, but realize it’s not for everyone! Please read the whole description of the layout to make sure this will work for you and your party. This cabin is best for two adults and children, as there is only one queen bed and that is located in the loft {it’s a tight squeeze up there😜}, there is also a day bed with a single trundle up there, and then on the middle level there is a bunk room with twin bunks and a single bed.
The Cabin Walk-thru:
When you first pull up you will see a red door located just off the driveway, we just put a door handle with a lock so you can now use this door to enter.
There is another door, the main entrance when you go up the rock steps on the right side of the cabin, up on the deck.
As you enter through this door on the middle floor, you will walk in to the kitchen and one of the living rooms, followed by a bathroom {no shower, bathtub only}, a bedroom with twin bunk beds and a single twin, and last but not least the wrap around deck.
You then can access the loft from the easy access, but narrow and steep steps that take you up to the only queen bed in the cabin {don’t forget you are in an A-Frame, it’s a tight squeeze up there!😋}.
Then across from the stairs still in the loft, you will find a twin day bed that has a twin trundle bed underneath it, to comfortably sleep 2. And last but not least, the fun playroom that has tons of books, some math flash cards, a game or two, and boy and girl dress up stuff!
Once back on the middle floor you will find another set of stairs that will take you down into the first level, where the driveway is located. Down here you will find another living room with the TV, a bathroom {with a shower}, and the laundry room.
We love this little unique yet cozy place and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!!

Please do NOT chop wood on the concrete porch or the deck. If you use up all the wood inside for the wood burning fireplace, please refill it to keep dry wood inside at all times.
In the winter, the mini splits work for heat on top and middle floors, and the bottom floors heater is on the wall by the tv. We also have portable heaters in the laundry room and/or bunk room closet for extra heat if wanted.
