Our beautiful cabin, Hickman Hideaway, has everything you need to enjoy your relaxing vacation. Our 2,500+ sq. ft. chalet style vacation rental has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and features hardwood floors, a modern, fully-equipped kitchen with granite counters, microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and a BBQ on the deck. We have central heating in the winter and evaporative cooling on the main floor for those occasional warm summer afternoons, making Hickman Hideaway a truly year-round getaway. We are located in the heart of the Coconino National Forest, surrounded by tall pines with a view of Lake O’Dell. This is one of the best locations in all of Munds Park!

With three bedrooms we comfortably sleep six. On the lower level you will find the MASTER SUITE with a KING bed, dresser, clothing armoire, comfy chair, and en suite bathroom with shower. Both main floor bedrooms have QUEEN beds with pillow top mattresses, a dresser, chair, and ceiling fan. There is a full size crib in the middle main floor bedroom, with a pack-n-play, high chair and baby gates stored in the closet. Baby monitor and miscellaneous baby items are in the bottom dresser drawer. NOTE: Room in Loft is locked and is not part of the rental.

Both bathrooms have been remodeled. The main floor bathroom has a tub/shower. The lower level master en suite has a shower. With two bathrooms and showers your family won't have to argue over who goes first!

Floor to ceiling windows in the large vaulted ceiling family room look out to pine trees, distant neighbors and a view of the lake. There is a beautiful stone fireplace, two comfortable sofas, a flat screen TV with cable and Roku for your personal sign-in. What a wonderful way to enjoy the beautiful view! We have family-friendly DVDs, books and games for all ages.

The dining area table seats six, with additional seating for two at the eat-at bar. A card table with four chairs is also available.

The loft looks out beyond the pine trees to the lake beyond. In the open loft area is a recliner and lamp for reading or just relaxing. There is also a desk in case you really have to do online schooling or work from the cabin as it is a great place to work from. There is also a table on the other side of the loft for a second work station.

Challenge your friends/family to a game of darts, fooseball, pool, or cards in the recently renovated game room. TV and DVD player are also in the game room. A second stone fireplace is on this level, continuing the cabin feel. This fireplace has an electric insert which is also a space heater.

In the spring, summer or fall relax on the deck with lake views, tall pines, and squirrels running hither and yon! Perhaps you'd rather sneak off with a book, or nap in the hammock under the tall pines, seasonal. The patio table on the deck seats six, and the fire pit seats four.

If you play so hard you need to wash your clothing, we have full size washer and dryer in the laundry room on the main floor, including laundry soap and dryer sheets.

Munds Park is about 2 hours north of Phoenix, 18 minutes south of Flagstaff and 30 minutes from Sedona. You can head north to Snowbowl in about 50 minutes and the Grand Canyon is just 2 hours away for a nice day trip. Munds Park offers activities for all to enjoy - hiking, fishing, ATV riding and more.

Our community of Munds Park/Pinewood has fishing, hiking, off road trails and beautiful mountain scenery. If you sit quietly on our deck, the squirrels will run up and down the trees in front of you, and some evenings you might even catch a glimpse of a deer or elk. In the winter, when there is snow, there are many places to make snow angels, sled, and have your snow ball battles. Snowbowl Ski Resort is less than an hour away.

Hickman Hideaway truly has year-round beauty:

Winter generally brings snow (but not guaranteed!) that is wonderful for sledding, making snow men, snow angels, or just taking a walking and enjoying the hush of a winter wonderland. After playing in the snow it is great to come into the central heating and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa in front of the fireplace. Snow removal is provided for your check in, with shovels for you to maintain any snow fall under 5 inches. If there is more than 5 additional inches of snow during your stay, we will have the upper parking and a walkway cleared again, if necessary.

Spring is beautiful with the blooming wild flowers and perfect temperatures. It can surprise you with a May snowstorm, and the next day be a wonderful day to sit on the deck. The fire pit is a welcome addition to the cooler nights.

Summer will provide a 20 - 30º temperature drop from the Phoenix area, with fabulous days and nights that cool down even more, just in time for a relaxing drink on the back deck.

Fall brings the changing of the leaves, which seem to happen overnight. It almost sounds like you can hear the colors changing. Sit by the fire pit and watch the stars.

Now for the legal:

* We do not allow parties or large groups as we are in a family neighborhood.
* No smoking in the cabin or on the property. Smoking must be done in your car or on the street. There is always fire danger in the forest.
* Sorry, no pets. We love pets, but we have family and guests who choose to stay at Hickman Hideaway because it is animal dander free. They count on us keeping it that way. We hope you understand.
* We have security cameras. Full disclosure here, we have installed two security cameras on the front of the cabin. One faces the parking and walkway into the house, and has audio and records. The other looks over the parking area and does not record, or have audio. The cameras are turned off once the guest has checked in, and are turned back on the morning of check out. We often see wildlife wander around the area. We have our hopes of seeing an elk, but most likely it will just be the birds and squirrels.
* The upstairs loft room is locked as an owners retreat & not part of the rental. There is also a locked owners closet in the lower level that is not part of the rental.

Dog Nook under the stairs contains a rug, hooks for leashes, collars, etc. A bin with tennis balls, food and water bowls, poop bags, and a leash to use if you happen to forget yours.

Guest access
The entire two story cabin is accessible to our guests, including the gated deck. Guests will be able to access the front and backyard. The back yard is fully fenced in. The garage is not accessible. There is ample parking on the property. Parking is located next to the cabin on the rock and paved driveway. In front of the deck is an extra parking space on rocks if needed. It may also be used as a yard game/play area. Bring your own yard games.

Our televisions are set to guest mode options for streaming through Roku. Please know your username and password so you can stream your personal profile. You will be able to continue watching what you are watching at home while away on vacation!

Relax with the whole family in our charming cabin in Munds Park! The cabin sits on a large treed lot backing the National Forest, beautiful ponderosa pines and in the fall, colorful oak trees. Enjoy the cool fresh morning air and crisp nights.

The cabin is just 2 hours from Phoenix, 20 minutes to Flag, 2 hours to Antelope Canyon/Page, 45 minutes to Sedona, 30 minutes to Snowbowl and an hour and half to the Grand Canyon. All of which makes the perfect home base to enjoy lots of exploring and adventuring!

The is a modern A-frame cabin where guests have access to the entire place. From large chalet windows and doors to hardwood floors throughout. The cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bathroom is on the main floor. The cabin sleeps 8

Outside offers Munds Park front porch sitting and outback has a beautiful deck with a table and Propane grill to make a perfect meal! We also have a fire pit to grill up some delicious smores or lounge in the hammock in the trees.

This is one of the few cabins that has central AC and heat and a wood burning fireplace.

Quiet hours in the park are from 10 pm to 8 am. We do have full time neighbors so we do ask that our guests respect the quiet hours.

No events or parties are allowed at the cabin.

No smoking of any substances inside the cabin.

No burning of incense or candles at anytime.

The cabin is about 15 minutes from the nearest grocery store in Flagstaff. Instacart delivers to Munds Park if you would like to have your groceries delivered after you check in. You will want to plan accordingly however, the local gas station does have a mini-mart with a large supply of necessities.

WELCOME to Poppy's Lodge. This is a very special, cozy place in the pines. 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin nestled between pine trees in a quiet street in Munds park. A place for storytelling, love and lounging. Poppy wanted a place where memories are made. Come enjoy listening to the pine trees and pure relaxation of the stillness in the pines. There is a perfect fenced in yard for the dogs.
The space
Poppy's lodge is a special little place that just makes you feel happy and peaceful. This is the perfect retreat for a small group of friends, a couple celebrating an anniversary, or a family getaway. Comfortable beds and cozy blankets. During the snowy winter months the fireplace is perfect to sit in front of and relax. Sit in a rocking chair on the porch and watch the snowfall, and the pine trees sway and know your dogs are secure in the fenced-in yard.
Munds park is much cooler than Phoenix but can get warm in the summer. While we do not have an A/C we do have an evaporative cooler which works amazing for such a small space. We do hope you find your stay comfortable.

Welcome to the sweet and cozy Evergreen A-Frame, located in the heart of Munds Park on beautiful and sought-after Mescalero Drive. Our beloved cabin sits on a spacious lot covered in pine trees with a large front yard with plenty of parking, space for corn hole, hammocking, camp fires, and more.

The downstairs has bedroom #1 with a queen size bed and a tv to enjoy nightly Netflix. Just off the bedroom is a full bathroom with shower. The laundry room has brand new butcher block counters with a stainless steel washer and dryer and beverage chiller leading to the back deck. The kitchen and eating nook are perfect for a pancake breakfast or dinner celebration. The living room is set up to host the whole gang with a large sectional couch, recliner, futon couch and a tv set up perfectly for family movie night.

The upstairs loft can sleep 6 with another queen bed, a bunk bed with a twin and full mattress, and a twin trundle bed. The upstairs also has a spacious and sunny bathroom with a shower/tub combination. The Evergreen Cabin has a wrap around wood deck on three sides- a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. In the back, the propane grill and propane flat-top griddle are ready for your use with outdoor dinning for you to entertain.

If you are looking to venture out for a bite to eat or a cold drink, there are several locally owned shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. Kota Coffee, Borracho Mexican Saloon, Martino’s Italian Restaurant and Lounge, and Agee’s Barbecue Market are within walking distance of the cabin.

Coconut, especially enjoyed walking in the wee hours of the morning around the quiet neighborhood, and exploring around the back yard. My kids asked me to write down the name of the washer/dryer set because they are SO much better than ours at home, and my husband asked me to order the same towels that are in the Master Bath! I had ordered Royal Velvet towels before we even left! It is convenient to the 17, SO clean, adorable, and safe. The host thought of EVERYTHING! This house features a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedroom 2 full bath, dinning table that accommodates 6 and kitchen bar for 4. All bedrooms provide a smart TV for streaming. Enjoy the Livingroom to cozy up next to the TV and fireplace. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on the wrap around deck. The back deck has a beautiful view for you to enjoy. It is equipped with a table for 6, Adirondack chair seating next to the propane firepit on those chilly nights. Munds Park is known for its clear sky's to star gaze.

- "This property was very clean. It was beautiful and enjoyable. We just have a couple of suggestions. First of all, it was extremely difficult to find the address of the house/cabin. It would be best to put a light above the address that is on the garage, or it would be the best to put the address on a little post at the edge of the driveway. Also, we did not have enough wash cloths and hand towels for everyone. We said five adults were coming and we did not have five washcloths and five hand towels. We had more than enough bath towels. It would be nice to have a little instruction booklet that explains how do use the outdoor fire pit, outdoor heater, thermostat inside the house, the fireplace inside the house, etc. I must say this is the first VBRO house I have been to that did not have a little booklet explaining these things. in the bathroom with the tub, someone from our group slipped and fell in the tub and dislocated his finger. It would be a good idea to put some of strips or non-slip some thing on the bottom of the tub. It would be good to have instructions sent out at least two days before arrival. I want you to know how much we enjoyed your house, I don’t want you to think with all these suggestions we did not have a great time. We all wish we had more time to stay there. It is beautiful, relaxing, and a nice area, and very clean and enjoyable. Thank you so much for all the work you did on fixing up that house. Take care."

The cabin has 4 bedrooms with 2 upstairs bedrooms - one with King bed and other with twin bunk beds. The 2 downstairs bedrooms have one with Queen bed and other with twin bunk beds. We have 1/2 bathroom upstairs and 2 beautifully remodeled full bathrooms downstairs - one with tub/shower combo and other just shower that is attached to Queen bedroom.

We are located in the small community of Munds Park which is 20 minutes south of Flagstaff. We are 45 minutes to Sedona and Williams. 1 hour to Jerome and 1 1/2 hours to the Grand Canyon. Perfect spot to hit all the amazing Northern Arizona sights, but also stay in beautiful small town Munds Park with its relaxed friendly vibe. It’s just a short walk to the end of our street to catch a beautiful trail along a ravine that leads to the National Forest in one direction and to Odell Lake in the other direction. At Odell Lake you can fish and kayak - bring your fishing poles and kayak! They have a Farmers Market every weekend during the summer at Munds Park. There is a ATV rental in Munds Park - so you can make a day trip and ride to Mormon Lake in one direction or Sedona in the other! We are on a heavily wooded corner lot with 2 empty lots behind us. The neighbor’s houses in front of us are below the street line so when sitting on the front patio you are just looking out into the tree tops - so private, serene, peaceful, relaxing and gorgeous! The house is fully stocked with brand new top of the line kitchen everything and all the extras in the bathroom to make your stay luxurious - including new luxury towels, hair dryer, flat iron, shower steamers, cotton balls, Qtips and makeup remover wipes!

The entire house is yours to experience your own “Bella Vita” with the exception of the kitchen pantry and upstairs bunkbed closet, which are locked for owners access only and contain our supplies to help us prep for the next guests. Feel free to use anything else that you see!

Dog Nook under the stairs contains a rug, hooks for leashes, collars, etc. A bin with tennis balls, food and water bowls, poop bags, and a leash to use if you happen to forget yours.

The entire two story cabin is accessible to our guests, including the gated deck. Guests will be able to access the front and backyard. The backyard is fully fenced in. The garage is not accessible. There is ample parking on the property. Parking is located next to the cabin on the rock and paved driveway. In front of the deck is an extra parking space on the rocks if needed. It may also be used as a yard game/play area. Bring your own yard games.

Our televisions are set to guest mode options for streaming through Roku. Please know your username and password so you can stream your personal profile. Dish Network Television is available on all televisions. You will be able to continue watching what you are watching at home while away on vacation!

Lake Odell: Located 4 minute via car or a 20 minute walk. Visitors can fish, kayak, and paddle board.

Coconino Forest: Located 3 minutes via car or short walk from our cabin. It offers defined hiking trails, mountain biking trails, trails for ATVs and dirt bikes.

Flagstaff is located about 18 minutes North of Munds Park. Flagstaff is AZ's eclectic and fun mountain town. It offers great dining, wonderful breweries, a huge trail system, the Lowell Observatory, The Snow Bowl Ski Resort and so much more.

Sedona is located around 30 minutes from Munds Park. You can enjoy wine tasting, fine-dining, the mind-blowing uniqueness of the red rocks, and many outdoor adventures. Sedona can get hot because it sits at a lower elevation than Munds Park. You can spend part of your day in Sedona and come back to enjoy the cooler weather the woods provide at our cabin.

Slide Rock Recreation Area is located about 35 minutes from Munds Park. Enjoy sliding down the natural slide and swimming with your friends and family.

Grand Falls is also known as Chocolate Falls. It's a sight to behold. Imagine looking at the Willy Wonka Chocolate River in real life! No hiking is needed. You can drive right up to the rim. If you want a closer view, you can hike to the bottom. The best time of year to visit is in March and April. Currently, (October) the falls are still flowing beautifully.

The inside is spacious with a vaulted ceiling in the main room. The decor is country. On the main floor is the master bedroom while the other 2 bedrooms are on the second level with a jack & bathroom.

The mountains are the place to be for a getaway any time of the year, whether it is an escape from the heat or you love the winter snowy weather. Arizona high country is fabulous! It is a great outdoor experience and offers lots of hiking, biking, riding your ATVs on nearby forest roads, and of course sight-seeing any of Arizona's spectacular parks and sites. Our cabin is conveniently located between Sedona and Flagstaff just off the I-17 freeway. It is easy access to other popular locations such as the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, and other historic sites in the area.

This is a great home base for day trips to see the Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, Lowell Observatory, Meteor Crater, and the Riordian Mansion.

Come to our hideaway in the pines! Our cabin is nestled on heavily treed lot, at 6590’ ft, between Flagstaff (20 min away), Sedona (45 min away). It is the perfect getaway. The property has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a dining room and a cozy living room. We have a wood burning stove and comfortable seating in the living room, all centered on a heavily treed lot! You will love your stay! **please note this property doesn't have A/C, many do not in northern arizona**

The space
Our cabin, is our happy place. We hope you feel the same. From the moment you drive up and park on our gravel driveway, your worries will melt away. As soon as you sit on the porch swing, or soak in the spa, the surround of the trees, and the fresh air will put you in a perfect state of being! We are excited for you to enjoy our happy place!

The property has 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 bedroom downstairs, a bathroom downstairs and bathroom upstairs. The property has a dining, and living room perfect to hang out in, paired with a kitchen with all the tools you need to craft a delicious meal. The backyard is fenced, and landscaped with river rocks. There is a porch, spa, and two hammocks to relax in. The front of the home has a wonderful porch with a grill, dining table and porch swing. We even have a propane fire pit too!

Most properties in northern Arizona do not have AC. Some days can get around 90 degrees. To keep the home cool here are some tips!

-Close windows during the day

When following these tips, the home should stay 75 or cooler in the day, on the hottest of days, which usually the warmest days are 95 for a week in July.

The space
There are two cozy bedrooms. One bedroom has a king sized bed and includes an adjoining bathroom. The other room has a queen sized bed with a bathroom across the hall. Both bathrooms include a shower/tub combo and a single sink and are stocked with basic toiletries. The laundry room has a washer and dryer along with laundry detergent and dryer sheets for use during your stay. Kitchen is equipped with basic cooking essentials and appliances. A large dining table is in the kitchen. The living room has comfortable seating to watch the TV or play some of the games that are there. A wood-burning stove provides heat and ambiance. The living room also has a private corner desk for your working needs. A large deck is off the living room with a fire table, some seating and outdoor dining options to enjoy.

Guests have access to the entire cabin and deck. Please note the property line runs very close to the cabin so use respect when venturing off the property.

We do allow one pet to join your stay with an added fee. There is no enclosed outdoor space for them and they must be leashed when outside.

Rustic Rose Cabin is a quirky, artsy, and cozy rustic retreat surrounded by 80 towering Ponderosa pines on a spacious corner lot. Just half a block from forest trails and 20 minutes from downtown Flagstaff. Wood burning fireplaces for the winter. Three very efficient Mini split units heat/cool the cabin quickly. They can also be accessed by computer ahead of your stay to prepare for a comfortable arrival. “Note: In winter months we do not have plow service, snow shovel provided. A plow service may be requested by guest to clear the DRIVEWAY. $60 - $75 fee applies” The city plows the streets only.
The WiFi is Starlink Extender. However we cannot guarantee their service.

Other things to note
Currently there is an approximate 2" step between the floor in the kitchen and the family room. This could be a problem for young children and older folks. Our single level home with Air conditioning is unique in that the outside deck is elevated creating a wonderful space underneath for more family to enjoy. All of the interior is new and well crafted. We have sought to equip our home to a high standard and to anticipate your needs by providing all the things you might want for a luxurious stay. Hair dryers and plush towels are provided as standard and a washing machine is available so that you don’t have to worry about luggage restrictions.
You want to have a wonderful holiday and we want that for you too. We believe that when you are here this is your home for however long you are staying and that you will be relaxed, comfortable and happy.

We have a max occupancy set at 6 people but are willing to make exceptions with an additional fee or just an okay. We have our occupancy set at 6 so our cleaners can plan accordingly. If there are more people, there is more laundry which means more time that they need to plan on being at our home. Please inquire about exceptions if you are having more than the 6 that is allowed.
