- "Thanks to Jon and Trisha and Sam for offering this wonderful place to spend time enjoying nature and the beauty of the Tucson mountains. This small, unique casita offered a simple life with amenities that were appealing to us. The quiet, private, and peace in the midst of the conveniences of shopping and restaurants made this perfect for us. Close to hiking, churches, and day trips to historic places. Due to the US virus health crisis that was happening just as we arrived our visit was cut short so we missed out on many restaurants and shops that had closed down. We were able to enjoy hiking in 5 parks within minutes of this location that were stunning. We would surely return to this place in the future."

- "Great little villa. Quiet, peaceful, comfortable. " - "The dirtiest place I have ever stayed in unfortunately. Sheets had human and animal hair, crumbs/boogers and blood stains! Pillow cases, comforter, and headboard was covered in animal hair. Cob webs throughout. Blinds had a sheet of dust that I left fingerprints on them. No hairdryer. I wore socks to move from bedroom to toilet so my feet didn’t get dirty. No actual door to bathroom. It’s like a closet door with slats you can see through so no privacy at all. My daughter came for a visit and I was so embarrassed to use the bathroom since you can hear everything and she was 5feet away sitting in the living room. When I asked for new sheets no one was around to replace them.I had to wait till the next day. I cried!"

We’re not a polished resort. Not even close, and frankly, that’s the point. The unit you’re staying in is full of quirks, creaks, and surprises that come with age, and you might notice that some updates are still waiting their turn. With that comes a rare chance to stay inside a piece of history.
We ask for your grace and a spirit of adventure. The space may be a little rough around the edges but full of warmth and soul. Your stay directly supports our mission to breathe life into the ranch.
- "The property had a really nice lived in feel, we appreciated that it felt so authentic and personal. I loved the pool deck, the pink floors, and the wooden framing in the upstairs bedroom " - "The Orchid offers a great combination of staying in the desert while enjoying a relatively short drive to downtown. We loved the historic look and feel of the buildings on the ranch, and hearing the owls and coyotes at night. The host provided superb, thorough and prompt communication. We hope to return soon!"

- "This property is so beautiful. It’s a little hard to find the first time especially if it’s dark. The house is cosy in all the best ways. Be aware that it’s predominantly heated by the fire place. There is plenty of wood and starters provided though. A heating unit also in the back bedroom as well. Everything we needed was provided and the property manager was very responsive to questions and helping figure out the Wi-Fi. My dad and I were very happy staying here. "
