Our room included a big sitting area, excellent decore, a big two person shower, separate jetted tub, and private walled patio, and an outdoor shower. Breakfast included homemade croissant rolls, and a personal botanical garden tour afterwards. We didn't brave the unheated pool, though the pool area was surrounded by desert plants, including blooming cactus and orange blossoms. Unfortunately, we had to cut out trip short, but Sally without hesitation gave us a refund for circumstances beyond our control. We shall return!!!"

- Please note this guesthouse is TINY: it's just a small bedroom (just large enough to fit all the above) & an attached bath (separated by a curtain). But it has vaulted ceilings and clerestory windows that make it bright & airy
- Check-in time is generally after 6 PM, but contact me to let me know when you'll arrive in Tucson, and we might be able to arrange a different time

..in a quiet and friendly neighborhood that's just blocks from the University and right down the street from the shops, restaurants, and fun of 4th Avenue.


IMPORTANT: I don't like to charge the cleaning fees so many other places charge, instead offering you the option of cleaning yourself to avoid a fee. If you don't want to clean the property to the same fully clean condition it was in when you arrived, a fee of up to $50 will be withheld from the overall 'damage' deposit. You definitely don't need to clean if you don't want to be bothered with it, you just have the option of saving up to $50 (pretty easily) if you want. Note that you don't have to do the laundry to get your deposit back, but please make the bed with the spare linens and make sure the place is totally clean and 100% ready to go for the next guest, who may be arriving right after you leave. Please make sure you wipe dry the shower, not just rinse it, so there aren't any water spots. Cleaning products are above the shower (if you run out please let me know so I can bring in some more). And if you miss something, don't worry- I'm not going to charge you the entire $50 to clean one thing. This is just an option to avoid extra cleaning fees if you're like me, and tend to leave places cleaner than you found them :)

Note that currently 3 small dogs live in my house and have access to the patio (but not the studio) through a dog door. Maude is old, shy, mostly deaf & usually stays inside our home. The other 2 are recently adopted & in training because they're overly friendly- they excitedly bark and sometimes want to jump up to greet people. If they hear you coming down the drive they will likely rush out of the house barking, excited to see who's coming. If they don't keep all paws firmly on the ground, please tell them NO (no matter how much you may love dogs greeting you). Please don't pet them if they jump up- save petting for the times when they don't. Don't hesitate to let me know if they are being pests, and please make sure you always close the gate behind you or the pups may decide to go on a neighborhood walk by themselves and get into who-knows-what trouble :) Note that neither dog is large or scary at all, but if you don't like dogs or have had bad experiences with them you may not wish to stay here.

Also please note that I'm periodically improving the property. If you're there during the day, you may potentially notice the sound of saws and the like, only between 8am and 8pm. This is a rare occurrence, and it isn't very noticeable from inside the studio, but I do want to make guests aware that it's a possibility. If you're at all concerned about it, feel free to inquire if I have any projects planned during your stay. Odds are I don't, and if I do, I usually coordinate it for when you're away from the property.

We use fragrance-free cleaning and laundry products for those who are sensitive. Guest house includes a mini refrigerator with freezer and single-serving coffee maker.

Welcome to our solar powered cozy casita, a good fit for 1-2 guests, with a small kitchenette with a microwave, small fridge and Keurig coffeemaker. Indoor salt water pool heated to 85 degrees!

The guest house has a queen bed with a Sealy Posturepedic mattress, air conditioning, a laptop desk and 32" TV with Roku streaming.

The casita has its own private patio with table, chairs and umbrella for dining in the lovely Tucson weather!

The wifi is gigabit fast!

The space
Our guest house is located in our backyard with its own entry path from the side yard.

The space is 200 square feet. It’s definitely a small space, but it is well laid out and has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

We do have a small dog, Lola, who has free run of the backyard. She is very quiet and friendly. She’ll definitely come say hello, but she is used to visitors and won’t bug you.

The backyard is shared and there is an enclosed pool that we allow guests to use when the weather is warm enough. Heating of the pool is available during colder months for a $75 fee per trip (up to 7 days). Pool heating requests must be made at least 5 days prior to arrival.

The casita has its own patio with a table and chairs for relaxing outside.

The main house has a patio that is not shared.

Other things to note
We set the pool heater to 85º. If the weather during the daytime is consistently under 50º the heater may not be able to keep it as warm. This is usually only an issue 1-2 weeks per year, but please send us a message to confirm the current status if this is important to you!

Please note we have a seven day limit for stays.

We do not allow any smoking inside the unit. Smoking is allowed on the patio as long as the unit door and windows are closed and butts are cleaned up. Violation will result in a $500 cleaning fee.

Our small but mighty 1 bdr casita is perfectly situated just off the Catalina Hwy - the road to Mt Lemmon where hiking and biking abound! We are 15 minutes from Sabino Canyon, 20 minutes from downtown Tucson. Explore away! Or stay and be mesmerized by the glorious views of the Catalina Mtns, walk the labyrinth, lounge by the pool, read a book at one of the many seating areas around the 3 acre property. Inside you’ll find a comfy queen bed, kitchenette, full bathroom and views from everywhere.

The space
This quiet little home looks out over the property where you’re likely to see bobcat, roadrunners, javelinas, mule deer, a flock of baby quail tottering after mom in the spring. You might even catch a glimpse of the elusive and magical gila monster. Snakes, lizards, and spiders are also residents of the desert. Our cleaning standards are very high and we provide monthly pest control about the house but be mindful of keeping the doors shut so no one sneaks in.

The casita is attached to the garage which is attached to the main house. The main house is also listed on airbnb and can sleep up to 6 people. (airbnb.com/h/blazy8house) The host lives onsite in a private west side suite attached to the main house with a separate entrance. You’ll have access to all the paths and multiple seating areas around the property, as well as the enclosed pool area (shared with the guests of the main house and the host) where you’ll have stunning views of Tucson, the Tucson Mountains west of town and the most amazing sunsets.

🌵The bedroom
Queen size bed has new hybrid mattress. You can watch TV while lounging in bed or from the comfy chair next to it. There is a soothing sunrise alarm clock with sound machine to gently awaken you or lull you to sleep. The closet has hanging shelves and hangers for your clothes and shoes.

🌵 The sitting area
There is a loveseat with a great view out the large windows from this seat. The right hand side even reclines. You have control of the new mini-split AC/heating system with a remote thermostat.

🌵 The kitchenette
There is a Cuisinart toaster oven/air fryer/grill, microwave and one burner induction cooktop that will allow you to cook *almost* anything. There is also a Keurig coffee maker, a drip coffee pot and a hot water kettle for your beverage needs.

The mini fridge has a small freezer. The moveable island has a drop leaf to give you more space for eating or using as a desk. The stools can be raised or lowered to suit you and can also be used as an ottoman for the couch. Lift the top and turn it over to find storage space and use as a mini table.

🌵 The bathroom
“The reading room” has a full bath, lighted make-up mirror, hair dryer and all the essentials to get you through a few days of your stay.

🌵 The patio
The best view of the desert and possible wildlife is from the covered carport/patio. Half the space for a car, half for hanging out and hoping to see something interesting. There is a bistro table and two chairs perfect for meals or morning coffee. There is also a small BBQ grill and utensils available for this area. Please let us know if you’d to use them and we’ll set them out for you.

🌵 The pool
The pool is available for your use however be aware it is not heated and best used between May and October. The area around the pool, including the gazebo area, is a great place to relax. This is a shared space and you may see the host with her dog here. We’ll make every effort to allow you the space and privacy that makes you comfortable and feeling at home.

🌵The Grounds
You’re welcome (encouraged!) to stroll about the property. Please stay on the paths, consider wearing closed toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen. Be watchful for critters.

Our Urban Oasis has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, full kitchen, comfortable living room. The garden is lush and provides a peaceful retreat to an otherwise urban location just a few blocks from UA, two blocks to the tramline, and with a 10 minute walk to countless restaurants and activities. A great place to stay for business or holiday.

The space
This 927 square foot guesthouse is located in the historic neighborhood of West University. It features two comfortable bedrooms, each with a quality queen bed and luxury bedding, one bathroom, a fully functioning kitchen, full size washer and dryer, and a large and comfortable living room. Even though the casita is exceptionally comfortable, you'll be tempted to linger in the beautiful and lush garden. Off street parking accommodates two cars. (Note that a street view of the property shows the back, alley view and not the front of the house. Apologies!)

The house has its own full kitchen with dishwasher with access to the barbecue grill at the main house. The HD flatscreen TV streams content from Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime. WiFi is available throughout the property, so you can answer your email while enjoying coffee in the garden.

For long term guests, we provide bi-weekly housekeeping at an additional charge. We provide and a change of linens each week, and clean towels are twice weekly, if desired. Most guests prefer to do their own laundry, but we are happy to do it upon request.

This comfortable pad is located just blocks from the University of Arizona and walking distance to more than 100 restaurants and bars. If you don't feel like the stroll, use the modern streetcar to get to where you want to go. It stops just two blocks away. Take it up 4th Ave through downtown, or go the other way through the university and on to University Medical Center. Cultural events are easily accessed by foot or light rail, too. Enjoy five venues presenting live theatre (including Arizona Theatre Company, and the Rogue Theatre), Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Opera, and UA Presents at Centennial Hall, as well as student productions of dance, theatre, and music.

This really is an urban oasis.

My family and I live in the main house on the property, and so are easily accessible by text or in person for any needs or to give tips on enjoying Tucson. Outside of being available and helpful, we will try to stay out of your way and the homes do not overlook one another. In the shared pool, laundry, and central courtyard on the property, you may cross paths with my family or the guests staying in the pool house (when occupied). I provide treats and good local coffee for your enjoyment. I will try to accommodate your needs and can provide things such as a twin mattress or small kitchen appliances. If you need something you don't see- don't hesitate to ask!

The casita shares the property with the host family's home, and a pool house also available on Air BNB. Casita guests have their own private yard and seating area, but also can enjoy the shared spaces on the property- A beautiful pool and courtyard. The casita is on a quiet street in Jefferson Park, a classic midtown neighborhood on the National Historic Register. Walk to the streetcar at the close-by University hospital that takes you through the University District, 4th Ave, and downtown.

A car is best for exploring all parts of the city and surrounding areas- a trip up Mount Lemmon or through Gates Pass should not be missed! Tucson is fairly sprawling and parking is not a problem. The street car is accessible by foot (taking you through the uUniversity District, 4th Ave, downtown, the Convention Center and on to the Mercado). If you bring your bike, the neighborhood runs into the Mountain Ave bike path, a good central point to access Tucson by bike. There is a bus stop for Suntran around the corner on Campbell Ave.

Because of our proximity to the hospital, there are occasional sirens/helicopter landings that can be heard in the distance from outside or if windows are open.

The space
Casita del Plata is a 1960 style burnt adobe guest house situated on over 4 acres. It has a private entrance, separately fenced yard and is detached from the main house. At nearly 800 square feet the casita gives you plenty of room to live and move. Inside you will find beamed vaulted ceilings and the solid brick adobe walls. The bedroom is large with a California King bed and plenty of room for luggage. The living room, dining and kitchen areas are open and full of light. The full bath has a sink, toilet, tub/shower combo and wonderful skylight for a natural glow.
The yard is full fenced/walled and has amazing views of the Santa Catalina Mountains.

This is a brand new studio in a peaceful location away from the midtown traffic on 3.2 acres just at the edge of the Saguaro National Park. This is the quintessential Arizona experience with its lush cacti, mountain views, majestic saguaros, howling coyotes and picturesque sunsets. The studio is quiet and secluded enough for a writers retreat, but the university, fine dining and downtown nightlife are just a short drive away. Lush desert forest only found in this region of the world surrounds you and the Desert Museum is just up the road, they built it out here for a reason!
The studio has all the modern amenities including the new SpaceX/Starlink high speed broadband internet, a whisper quiet new mini-split AC and heater, washer/dryer combo, 4k smart TV, new Tuft & Needle queen size bed, induction cooktop, outdoor grill, mini fridge and Keurig machine with plenty of K Cups. Reserved parking for the studio is on the right near the rusted fence as you pull into the property. If I am not there to greet you, simple instructions will be sent on how to enter. Please take care to keep outdoor noise levels down after 9:00pm. Guests will have keys the studio door as well as the courtyard gate. There is a kitchenette with a sink, fridge with filtered water, induction cooktop, Keurig machine (with cups), toaster, microwave as well as a washer/dryer combo. Please wash dirty dishes by cleaning off as much solid food into the waste basket as possible since there is no disposal in the sink. The well appointed bathroom includes a hair dryer, plenty of clean towels, full bars of soap, shampoo and various other sundries just in case you may have forgotten something. Also note that this space is not cleaned daily during your visit like a resort.

There are 2 garbage bins nearby, one is for recycling. Please take out garbage to these bins before leaving. Please take care when cooking in the kitchenette as to not damage the counter top. Since there is no cleaning fee, please take care to keep the area clean. The road near the property is a scenic road that leads to Gates Pass and to the Saguaro NP. It attracts sunset seekers and cyclists and can get busy during the holidays and high season. We are out near the mountains, so be mindful of the desert critters. The saguaros are a protected plant under Arizona state law, so please do not in any way handle them. The rates for the suite are seasonal, but very reasonable in comparison to other listings in the area.

TV and internet are available to guests. A fully equipped, stylish kitchen allows you to prepare everyday meals. In addition to a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and basic household appliances, we provide a wide range of household appliances, including mixers and even a bread machine. An extendable table for 6 people allows you to organize a party for guests. There is also a gas fireplace in the dining room, which will create an additional, unforgettable atmosphere. The bathroom has a triangular bathtub with a shower. A romantic bath for two is a perfect opportunity to experience unique moments together. There is a garden jacuzzi in the yard. The space
The guesthouse has a large master bedroom with a queen bed, a leather recliner and a 45" TV. There is a large walk in closet adjacent to the single bathroom that has a large tiled walk in shower - grab bars in the shower and toilet. The full kitchen is open to the main living room which has a full sofa and love seat. The kitchen has a modern integrated table/workspace that seats for comfortably. From the living room there is open access to a second living space that has a nice table for four, a couch that quickly converts in to a double bed with another large flat screen HD television. The sliding glass doors open to a private patio that has nice furniture for relaxing or dining as you enjoy the beautiful mountain views.

Located only 10 miles from downtown Tucson and 10 miles from the desert museum. Away from the hustle of downtown but close enough to get there quick. A very quite area

The house has been completly remodeled - New bedding and towels, new granite, 2 new bathrooms, new paint and an alarm system. One TV in main living room and one in bedroom with direct TV.

When staying here you will be in a very quite area with a very good chance you will see deer, bobcats, javelina & other wildlife come through the yard. Still close enough to downtown, stores, museums and only 20 miles from Tucson airport.
Many different species of birds and hummingbirds right out the window - so you can wake up with the sound of chirping birds if you like :)

The Saguaro (pronounced suh·waa·row) suite is a private split level suite with 1 King bed, living room and kitchenette, 2 fireplaces (a firelog is provided for upper level fireplace, and candles are provided for lower level fireplace) 1 bathroom with tub and shower (bath salts are provided), and a frame tv. It can accommodate up to two adults, and one infant (up to two years of age). Please keep in mind this suite requires the use of stairs.

JTH Tucson is a small inn lovingly nicknamed Posada, immersed in nature and available for overnight stays.
