Cozy get away, private entrance separate from main house. Self check in. Minutes to Snow Bowl! one queen lofted bed and a full sofa bed. The bathroom is located in a separate building. Compost toilet. Perfect for traveling to N. Arizona, close to Shultz Creek trails, Sedona (35 mi) and the Grand Canyon (72 mi). Place is 8 min. to downtown. This is a tiny house with wifi, h20, coffee, tea, Netflix. There is no Shower! There's a outdoor propane heated rinsing area weather permitted.

The space
The space is quaint and has its own private fenced entrance. There is NO true SHOWER. There is a outdoor propane shower provided once the weather is warm enough not to freeze the water line. Usually mid-April to October. There are 2 beds total, one is a queen mattress that is in a lofted space that you climb a ladder to access. The other one is a pull-out sofa bed and is a full size mattress with a memory foam topper. The space can sleep up to 4 maximum, but most comfortably would accommodate 2-3 people. The space is heated with a temperature controlled heater and also has a ceiling fan. We do provide a Sparklett's water jug with a operating faucet and sink to use for drinking, brushing teeth and washing dishes. Also provided is a mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. There is a self-contained compost toilet located in a separate well lit and heated space. Please note, the house does not have a shower. Some guests have said the internet is slow but I am not sure what to say as I have tested it out numerous times and have had no problems watching movies on Netflix. The TV gets about 5 channels but is really there for you to stream Netflix or watch a dvd from the library provided. The space does have a DVR player with Netflix access. Also please never unplug the black power cord it connects all the amenities such as wifi, coffee and even the bathroom heater. Thanks.

We are a family of 4 with 2 small children and a Golden Retriever. The Club House is private and fenced off from the main yard. Our dog will occasionally be on the other side of the fence and he is very friendly, but may bark at times (although we do our best to eliminate this especially during early morning hours.) If you see a cat it is not ours the neighborhood has many outdoor cats.

The kitchen area has a microwave, a 2 burner hot plate, a fridge, and various appliances enabling you to prepare delicious home-cooked meals, the living area has plenty of t.v. tables and a cozy futon for you to kick back and relax while watching your favorite shows on the 55" flat-screen TV. This property is powered by solar energy and please take note that the toilet in the studio is a composting toilet, and does not flush. However, it is constantly sealed and venting to the outside, so no odors emit from the toilet.
There is a huge outdoor screen to watch movies and T.V. on a projector that is connected to WIFI. Please let us know if you would like to use the projector as we keep it stored inside.

Other things to note
The futon has a mattress that is heavy. If you are having trouble pulling the futon out or in take off the mattress and it will be much easier to do. Also, if you are planning on staying more than five days we will need to enter the property to maintain the composting toilet. Lastly, if you are staying long term (more than 5 days) please expect to buy your own items for the rental such as trash bags, toilet paper, and shower items. Thanks much!

Please note, per city regulations, there is NO overnight street parking (midnight-7:00 am) from November 1 through April 1, due to snow removal, regardless of weather conditions. Of course, the 2 car garage that is your access point, is fully available for you to park in, and though it is steep, the guesthouse driveway can be utilized for parking as well. TPT license # is 21526946.
The driveway to the garage is steep and some vehicles may scrape. If needed you can also park on the guesthouse driveway, or on the street (from April 1 - Oct 31st). We can also work with you if needed to park on the flat main house driveway.

If you are travelling during the snowy season, we do strongly recommend that you look at the option of purchasing travel insurance via Airbnb in case of road closures due to weather conditions.

Our location is perfect for day trips to visit the many area landmarks such as Sunset Crater National Park, Wupatki, Walnut Canyon, Meteor Crater and Grand Canyon National Park. We also have Snowbowl and Nordic Center for winter sports. Historic Downtown Flagstaff is within walking distance for shopping, eateries, and breweries. Sedona is a 45-minute drive to experience the feminine and masculine vortexes.

Flagstaff is an established "Dark Sky" city, meaning there are low-light emitting exterior lights all over the city so you can easily stargaze without a telescope and even see the Milky Way right over the house. For a more intense view of the night sky, you'll want to visit Lowell Observatory. During a new moon, you'll be able to see a multitude of galaxies. We also have exceptional sunset views over Mars Hill right from the front yard.

This studio is super unique and fun with a great, central location. It was once the carriage house for the Brannen-Devine home located just North on the same property. It was converted into a studio in the 1970's and was recently renovated in 2022 with all the modern amenities one might need while traveling. "I don’t think there’s enough space to recount all the amazing things about this cottage. It makes sense why it (the whole property) can also be used as a wedding venue. The scenery seemed like something out of a fairy tale, deer included! The leaves were changing, the weather was chilly and rainy, nature was abundant and thriving. The cottage was clean and tidy, it was so comfortable and cozy with the cutest decorations like little succulents and marble coasters. There was even a charming warmer that looked like a
fireplace. All the amenities we needed were provided to us by the hosts. It can
comfortably accommodate 4 adults if necessary. There is a small nook in the wall that would be the perfect hideaway to do homework or read or just be alone. We didn’t get to plan to use the fire pit but it would have been perfect for the cool weather. The hosts were readily available and as friendly and inviting as can be. There is a Walmart 5 driving minutes away, a convenience store, and even a park and skate park! The views look like something out of a Bob Ross painting - surreal! My only regret was having to leave this
amazing place. This was the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at and I plan to return as soon as possible!"

The scenery seemed like something out of a fairy tale, deer included! The leaves were changing, the weather was chilly and rainy, nature was abundant and thriving. The cottage was clean and tidy, it was so comfortable and cozy with the cutest decorations like little succulents and marble coasters. There was even a charming warmer that looked like a
fireplace. All the amenities we needed were provided to us by the hosts. It can
comfortably accommodate 4 adults if necessary. There is a small nook in the wall that would be the perfect hideaway to do homework or read or just be alone. We didn’t get to plan to use the fire pit but it would have been perfect for the cool weather. The hosts were readily available and as friendly and inviting as can be. There is a Walmart 5 driving minutes away, a convenience store, and even a park and skate park! The views look like something out of a Bob Ross painting - surreal! My only regret was having to leave this
amazing place. This was the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at and I plan to return as soon as possible!"

The space
Welcome to the Windtree Hideaway. A wonderful one bedroom, one bath home located among the pine trees in a small neighborhood. It is just off the famous Route 66 in the heart of Flagstaff. Built in 2019, this home has the modern, but warm touches of newer construction and is is a free standing house, not attached to any other residence or structures. Located minutes from downtown Lowell Observatory, NAU, downtown Flagstaff, mountain trails, and a short drive to Bearizona, Williams, Arizona Snowbowl ski area, lava tubes and Sedona. You will enjoy the beauty of Northern Arizona.

Dark skies abound at this quaint mountain retreat. Less than 15 minutes from downtown Flagstaff, a hop skip, and a jump (6 miles) from Arizona Snow Bowl and only 72 miles from the Grand Canyon! Enjoy direct National Forest access with miles of trails. Your time in this private detached guest house will make you want to stay longer and come back as soon as possible. Every season is beautiful, and each offers different joys. So come get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the slower pace.

The space
We are up beyond the tree line of the forest boarding National Forest. We get an abundance of wildlife. Breathtaking sunsets and sunrises.



During the winter months, we don't get a lot of sun because we are in the trees, so things don't melt off completely, and it can be slippery. We advise caution when coming and going. We do keep everything plowed and shoveled for guest access..

Please make sure you're turning up the right driveway and park to the left of the guest house. You have access to the entire guesthouse and the forest beyond.

Other things to note
We are on site in the main house, so you probably see us coming and going, but we respect guests' privacy and only interact if you choose to do so.
