Space:

Our space is the perfect getaway! This spacious walkout basement apartment bodes your own private eat in kitchen with a dining table and seating for 4, stocked with all the amenities you could need for cooking in. In the adjacent room, get cozy on the couch, while watching some t.v. or enjoying our collection of antique Arizona Highways magazines. The next room over boasts a king bed and plenty of storage for all your personal belongings. Down the hall you'll find a second bedroom with another plush king sized bed, with plenty of room for a pack-n-play (available upon request). A jack and jill bathroom with a stand up shower connects the hallway space to the bedroom. Extra linens and pillows are provided in the walk in closet, located in the bedroom for the pac-n-play. There is also a private, full size washer and dryer in the unit, available for your use! We even provide the soap :) For guests traveling in parties of 5, we have a third bed- it is a twin mattress with portable stand. It is kept in the closet so that guests can choose the best location for them to set it up for their needs. We provide all necessary linens for this bed as well.

Our backyard is full of mature grown oak trees. There is covered outdoor seating for you to enjoy on the lower level of the yard, down the deck stairs and to the right under the pergola. We recently installed an air-conditioning unit, to help ease any summer heat discomfort. This space neighbors our second suite, but still allows you complete privacy and your own outdoor space that does not require you to share it. This suite booked? Check out our other listing! There are a set of about five stairs required to go down to get to the space. Hometel Suites 1 and 2 can be booked separately for larger parties looking to house nearby one another. Both units together can accommodate parties of 8.

Guest access:

You will enter your private space through your own separate entrance, down a few stairs. Follow the path under the upper deck to find your getaway. The first set of sliding glass doors is home! You will notice the number 1 on the mailbox right next to the french doors, for suite 1. There is a lock-box with key, so you are able to check-in at your convenience any time of the day, past 3pm. The driveway can accommodate 1 guest car- all other vehicles will have to park on-street.

Guest interaction:

Your privacy is one of our top priorities, and our children are never allowed down in your space. How much interaction you’d like is completely dictated by you. I am happy to assist in answering questions or giving referrals, or you could come and stay with little interaction at all! I am often busy taking care of the kids, and we are out and about more than we are home, but the kids also love to hang around outside and play on the trampoline, which you are welcome to! Our kids are very friendly, and love making new friends!

Neighborhood overview:

We live in a well established family neighborhood. It’s not unusual to see all types of people taking leisurely strolls along the well kept sidewalks, while walking their dogs, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. There is a small park in our neighborhood just down the street from our home, along with a larger park at a local elementary school, also around the corner from our house. Our neighborhood of University Heights is located minutes from Northern Arizona University, along with all the major restaurants, grocery stores, and about a 10 minute drive to the down town area, and a 25 minute drive North to Snowbowl Ski Resort.

Getting around:

There is a bus stop South of our neighborhood, but a pretty good walk to get there. Taxis and Uber are also available.

Other things to note:

This suite is one of two units, both with their own private entrances and inside amenities. The units are located on the same level, but both are self contained private spaces apart from one another. Our kids use the backyard, and you are welcome to as well!

***The main heating control is housed outside of the suite in our living area. During the winter months (Oct- April) we keep the temperature at 72 during the day and 70 from 10pm-7am. We do provide space heaters and fans to help control the temperature without issue. If there’s a desired temp for the central system, just reach out. We have no problem adjusting the settings to your liking.

Come enjoy serenity and privacy in a quiet neighborhood! Our tiny home is 326 square feet of quaint and sophisticated living space. Its location is central to both sides of Flagstaff, so it's a breeze to find anything you would want. Heading to Snowbowl or the Grand Canyon? Get there easily from our home! Grab a coffee, pizza or some Mexican food on the way! This home is on the side of our main house and is inaccessible from our home. You have your own private entrance as well as a sweet sitting area in front of your entrance. The home features an upstairs loft with a comfortable Queen size bed, and downstairs has a mini couch, that turns into a twin size bed for your convenience .This property is ideal for adults 21 years of age or older. Unfortunately it is not kid friendly, nor pet friendly due to the size and also because of the ladder in the home. The ladder is sturdy and secure, yet very steep. The only access point up to the loft is to climb this ladder, so a lien waiver is required to be signed when this property is booked.

The loft stairs are STEEP which was fine, but had to leave all luggage on main level since we couldn’t get our stuff up the ladder (needed both hands to climb). As 4th generation natives of Flagstaff, we are proud to offer this space. New construction with a modern but comfortable feel. The Elden View Hideaway is a separate unit with keypad entry on the ground floor of a private residence. There are no stairs in the apartment however there is one step into the kitchen from the front door. You first enter into the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable dining space. We keep the kitchen stocked with some essentials like coffee, tea, spices, oil, baking, cooking, and cleaning supplies.

Next is the bath and laundry room with a stand-up shower, full washer/dryer, and one sink. The bath and laundry room is equipped with laundry detergent, dryer sheets, body soap, hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, first aid kit, and plenty of towels for your use.

And then finally you enter into the joint bed and living room. The queen bed is made with sheets, pillow cases, and duvet cover that are fully laundered with each guest. The couch and seating area provides an intimate space to play games, read a book, or have conversation. Two closets provide ample room to hang clothes and store suitcases out of the way.

The apartment is a daylight basement and has poor cell signal inside the unit because of it.
There is no AC in the house, a fan is provided to bring in cool night air if desired.
The unit shares the heating system with the rest of the house, a separate space heater is provided if a warmer temperature is desired.

Beautifully appointed, remodeled unit with a private spa in the middle of downtown Flagstaff. One space in a four plex on a quiet, dead end street. The entire property is owned by one owner and we are always available.

Just big enough for 2, bed is comfortable, super close to downtown but still quiet, lots of trees giving shade on nice back patio, easy parking right in front of front door, and also compared to other host vacation homes we’ve stayed in the rules are very lax in this one. We are used to homes having excessive rules where you feel you have to be careful anywhere you step and with anything you do, but respectfully these hosts seem very relaxed and don’t ask much of it’s guests (while still obviously having respect for the property!). There are plenty of extra blankets and towels which is nice as well, kitchen is stocked with utensils, pots and pans, plates/bowls, cups, and even pre frozen ice trays in the freezer. The only negative thing was that both nights we stayed here car alarms ended up going off in the middle of the night so that was a little frustrating but not something that is the hosts fault. Definitely would love to book again! Very recommended."

The space
This Flagstaff duplex has beautiful views of Mount Elden and is less than a mile from public forest access, with trails that take you all around our beautiful ponderosa and juniper pine forest. Stay in, relax, and watch the stars while sitting in the backyard or head downtown for a night out. If you are traveling with kids or play tennis, we have a park that is a 2 minute walk from the house. Please note the backyard/patio are shared with the adjoining duplex.

Quiet time starts at 9pm. This will be enforced and NO PARTIES are allowed. Guests are expected to clean up the shared outdoor space and be courteous to other guests.

At night there is a globe string light that turns on when it gets dark. You will be able to see it from the street and will guide you to the apartment entrance. Turns off around 12:30am.

During the COVID pandemic we will be cleaning with bleach and other disinfectants.

Take a dip in our BRAND NEW Grizzly 450 cold plunge, which was installed on July 17th!! We like to call this monster of a cold plunge, “The Griz!” It’s a great way to ease sore muscles, increase dopamine levels, relieve pain and stress, and much more!

- "Things were just a little odd. The double bed was on stilts and it fell off those stilts, made of plastic multiple times. When we arrived to the property, it was difficult to get in the door initially. We entered the room to an overly strong smell of bleach and found it to be freezing cold. We immediately plugged in the two floor heaters and almost immediately blew a fuse. We contacted the owner multiple times and finally the upstairs tenant helped us out with extension cords. None of the outlets above knee level worked. We unfortunately had to leave the door into the upstairs tenants basement to be able to borrow extension cord power from his side. Though the neighbor was extremely kind and helpful, it was odd to know that we were leaving that door partially open and unlocked. Apparently the neighbor has informed the owner multiple times of the overload to the power box yet the owner has still not repaired it. We would have to unplug the heater to charge our cell phone or anything else for that matter. We were unable to use our computer while having it plugged in or it would pop the circuit. It was quite difficult to stay warm and there are no windows into the room, seems even more cold. The bathroom mirror was left dirty. Also, the one and only carpet had an odd smell to it. Also, the love seat hide a bed was the most painful thing to sit on. Much like the mattress on the bed. Two of the four bar stools were falling apart. The nicest part was the neighbor upstairs."

The home is located in the Presidio in the Pines Neighborhood, which is close to NAU and Downtown.

Proximity to Downtown: Located just a short drive from downtown Flagstaff, the Presidio Neighborhood offers easy access to the city's vibrant shops, restaurants, and entertainment options.

Outdoor Recreation: Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby urban trails and parks, which provide opportunities for hiking, biking, and picnicking.

This home has two units in it. This is the studio space.. There is only one shared space for the two units and that is the garage. Please be mindful when parking in the garage to stay to the right and leave room for a car to your left.

You will enter the home through the garage, which is accessed through the back alley way. The alley is located between Mission Timber Cr and Bruce Balle Rd. Refer to your check in instructions for pictures. Once in the garage, to get to the studio you will take the stairs up and to your right.

We would strongly recommend a car for getting around Flagstaff.

People love to visit Northern Arizona for its cooler temperatures in the summer and playing in the snow in the winter. We feel lucky to live here and like getting to share this with you, but snow in the winter can cause some logistical obstacles. As hosts, we will do our very best to keep pathways and driveways clear for guests, but it's not uncommon for Flagstaff to receive a foot or two of snow in a short period of time and this makes snow removal a challenge. Snow does create some obstacles for hosts and guests alike, so we want to be sure guests can know what to expect from us during the snowier times of year and what we in return ask of our guests.
1) Guests can expect that prior to their arrival the driveway and paths to the home have been plowed at some point during the day of their arrival. However, if the driveway is plowed in the morning and more snow falls between morning time and check in you may arrive to the day's accumulation of snow on the drive. Guests can either drive over the snow or clear the snow with shovels provided. We only are able to do snow removal once a day. We do our very best to time our snow removal at the end of storms, but it doesn't always work out that way.
2) THE BERMS! Any and every Flagstaff or Williams resident dreads the berm removal. What is the berm? The berm is a pile of snow at the end of your driveway caused by the snowplows pushing the snow from the streets to the side. There is nothing worse than shoveling your entire driveway only to have the plow come by and make a big berm you now have to clear before you can leave. We ALL dread the berm. As hosts we have NO WAY of knowing when the plows will come by. Because of this, it is possible that guests will arrive to a plowed driveway with a Berm at the end. If this happens guests will need to either drive over the berm (vehicle dependent) or use the provided shovels to make enough of an entry for your car to get through. Our snow removal crew will be around within the next 24 hours to take care of the rest. We are not a hotel with full time snow removal, so should you arrive during a snowstorm please know we are doing our best.
3) Finally, something we love about Flagstaff is the sun after the snow, BUT this does mean the snow melts during the day and the wet turns into ice at night. We do put salt on the ice between guests, but please be cautious not just at our property, but all over Flagstaff when the temperatures drop.

Come Experience this Dark Sky quiet neighborhood! You won't believe the stars out here We even have two neighbors with personal observatories. We welcome quiet guests who like to hike, bike or do Yoga on a wood deck facing the Eastern Sun. This bardominium borders National Forest Service and the beautiful serenity of Flagstaff Woods. We are 25 minutes to downtown Flagstaff, 20 minutes to Flagstaff Medical Center, 65 miles to The Grand Canyon and 45 minutes to Sedona. This upstairs apartment is separate from the Shop space below with your separate entrance and parking place. It includes a full kitchen, large living space, two bedrooms, full bathroom with a shower. The separate laundry room includes a washer and a dryer.

Child Friendly

This brand new one bedroom and one bathroom apartment has a beautiful kitchen with granite counters and upgraded appliances. Borders forest service with many trails to hike, run, cross country ski and bike. You won’t ever get tired of the star filled skies out here. About 3 miles from town and 8 miles from the hospital this little retreat is wonderful to live in the country. The apartment is built on top of a shop, outside entrance is separate with stairs.

The space
This space is completely private and with a private entrance, it is the upstairs portion of a house. Fast Wi-Fi (1gig) for zoom meetings. Guests will love how quiet, bright and comfortable it is.

Not a good fit if you are planning on cooking and eating in. There is NO kitchen but there is a small food prep area (see photos). There is a small fridge, microwave, toaster, electric tea kettle, tea, drip coffee maker, coffee, creamer,InstaPot, plates, bowls, silverware. Longer stays should consider bringing disposable plates and silverware. If you run out of dishes, they will need to be cleaned in the bathtub.

The front and back yards have patio seating and beautiful flowers and gardens which are accessible to all guests. Our home is best approached with an open heart and feeling of community! With brand new windows as well as central heating and cooling you will stay comfortable! The space is about 600 sq. feet.

*Eco-Friendly! We use use grey water to for our pollinator flower garden. We also have a rain catchment system to water our vegetable garden. We have solar and a large vermi-composting system.

Guests will have access to parking in the driveway. The entire bottom level of the home - including all deck area and hot tub - is private for a separate listing and should never be accessed. The deck area outside of this unit is completely private for this listing.

We ask guests to be respectful of our quiet hours from 10 PM - 8 AM. Specifically, please be conscious of your noise levels with respect to the other guest area attached to this unit as noise transmission is possible at high noise levels. Hi, we are Jason & Nicole and we have 4 kids. We love being in the outdoors. One of our mottos is "if you ever run into a fork in the road always choose the one that offers the biggest adventure". As a family, we love to vacation and experience different parts of the world. We want others to see and appreciate this beautiful world we live in. Here is a space that might help you do just that.

The space
This newly remodeled apartment at the base of Mount Elden has a private entrance to the right of the house, through the gate, and up the stairs. First thing you will see is the balcony where you can sit and enjoy the fresh air and views of Mount Elden under a giant 500 year old oak tree.

Inside this 600 foot apartment you will enter into the main living area which is open to a full kitchen.

In the kitchen is a full refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and double oven (upper oven for broiling only). Basic kitchen items such as a Keurig coffee maker, knives, cutting boards, pots and pans, pyrex dishes, toaster, waffle maker, blender, and cookie sheet are provided for you to make your own meals. We have coffee, creamer and sugar available for you.

After the long day of adventures or if your here to just relax, do it on our couch with a 55 inch Roku smart tv. It is logged into Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney Plus. Feel free to log into your own account to access your own watch list. We do not have cable.

There are 2 bedrooms. One room has a king size bed and the other has a queen. Both rooms have a dresser and closet space with hangers.

The bathroom has full size shower/tub combo. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are available. There is also a blow dryer.

Flagstaff is a mountain town at 7000 ft elevation which cools down once the sun sets. We do have a portable AC unit in the main room that cools the place down nicely! You can also enjoy the cool mountain air with the fans and open windows in the evening and nights.

We as a family live in the main part of the house. There is a door connecting the two that always remains locked. There is no sharing of any space! There will be some daily living sounds. We have kids and dogs that you might hear in the back yard. And any where you stay in Flagstaff you can hear the train.

Our cul-de-sac has access to the national forest and Flagstaff trail systems which means you can hit the trails without getting in your car.

There is room for one car on the RIGHT side of the driveway. ** Street parking is restricted from midnight to 7am November 1 to April 1 due to our city winter ordinance.** Any other time of the year, free street parking is available 24/7.

Private one-bedroom apartment in historic downtown Flagstaff home. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, NAU, Amtrak station, and several parks and hiking trails. Short drive to AZ Snowbowl, museums and many National Monuments.

The space
Things to note before booking!

*We keep our space very clean and well maintained, but the property is over 100 years old. Although it has been remodeled, some of the charm remains in things like original wooden floors (not always even and sometimes squeaky).

*The space is NOT suitable for pets.

* The apartment is an inviting one-bedroom with a living room, small kitchen, and 3/4 bath (there is a small stall shower, but no bathtub). The unit is attached to the main home with it's own private entrance and no shared spaces or access points. Guests have their own parking spot for one vehicle in the driveway.

*We provide WiFi, a comfy bed, and plenty of little extras, including snacks, teas, and coffee.

*In the back of the property is our non-profit urban garden where we grow many varieties of veggies during the growing season in our 50 ft hoop house. If you are interested to learn more we are happy to try and coordinate a tour!

*Flagstaff prides itself in being a Dark Sky City and there are lighting restrictions in place to ensure that we stay that way. If you are out and about at night you might notice that it is handy to have the flashlight from your phone available.

Guest access
Guests can access the apartment through a private entrance on the east side of the main home. Once parked you will take a path along the front of the main house to to the apartment foyer, marked #3. Guests will be provided with a code to the lockbox that holds the key to the apartment. Please note that our driveway approach is steep. Low clearance vehicles should be especially cautious and enter (on the left side) and exit (on the right side) of the drive, slowly, and at an angle.

Looking for a cozy and stylish home base for your upcoming Flagstaff adventure? This apartment is located above the garage of the main house. This apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood and close to all activities Flagstaff and Northern Arizona has to offer.

The space
This apartment features two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open concept kitchen/dining. The primary bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed. The second bedroom is set up as a living room with a sofa sleeper and television. This apartment is suited for two guests, but up to four guests may be able to be accommodated. The well appointed and fully stocked kitchen provides ample space for cooking up delicious meals. The open concept kitchen and dining room allow for conversation and involvement. A welcome basket with snacks, as well as coffee and tea station are provided.

All bedding, including comforters and blankets, are washed between guests. Light switches, door knobs, and other hard surfaces are completely sanitized between guests. You can feel comfortable knowing that the space you are renting is fully cleaned and sanitized for your enjoyment.

The main home below the apartment is also rented out on airbnb, so please be mindful of the guests renting the downstairs unit. Downstairs guests can hear footsteps, music, etc of guests in the apartment, so please keep noise levels low. Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 9 am. If the main house is rented out, there may be times when you encounter each other in the shared driveway. The apartment is allowed to park on the left hand side of the driveway. Please note that from November 1 - April 1, the City of Flagstaff does not allow on street overnight parking.

The apartment has its own entrance and is not accessible from the main home. Please note that guests renting the apartment are not permitted garage or backyard access. Once you enter the front door, there is a set of stairs going up to the apartment.

You will have the entire upstairs apartment to yourself. The driveway is a shared space with the main home downstairs. The apartment is not permitted access to the garage or backyard spaces.

Other things to note
We kindly ask to please remove shoes in the entryway of the apartment to help keep our floors and carpets clean and sanitary.

Perfect for 1 person or a couple. Well stocked kitchen. Safe neighborhood, quiet evenings and weekends, a very relaxing space so close to downtown! Note, there is no TV but plenty of reading material to learn about the area and no A/C. I have 3 separate places all next to each other.

The space
Charming and with character, this one bedroom apartment in a duplex easily accommodates a solo traveler or a couple. Provided is one off-street parking for a small to medium size vehicle.

LIVING ROOM has a full size couch, two comfy chairs, gas heater with fireplace window to enjoy the cool nights in comfort and lots of books to read to help you learn about Flagstaff and the surrounding country in which to explore plus games for spending quality time with your companion.

The KITCHEN is equipped with a gas stove top with 4 burners (the oven part of the gas stove is not operational at this time), convection countertop oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, a Mr. Coffee coffee maker, electric kettle, quality pots and pans, dishes, glasses for adult beverages, and plenty of things needed for preparation of most meals. A Brita filter also provided for filtered water. I have tried to think of all the basics that I would like to have myself in the kitchen but if there is anything you need, just ask me.

Complimentary consumables provided include a variety of teas (black, green and herbal), organic coffee, honey and sugar, cream, basic spices, hot sauce, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. There are many local shops selling a variety of beer and wine within minutes of walking I could direct you to, some are bars so will be open late. Or bring your favorite with you and enjoy in the comfort of this pleasant space!

BEDROOM has a new queen bed, closet, extra pillows and blankets, slippers in case you traveled without your own and plenty of hooks and horizontal places to spread out your belongings.

BATHROOM has a comfortable sloped backed tub and full size shower, plenty of quality towels and wash rags, variety of hand and hair soaps, body lotion, hair dryer and miscellaneous toiletries should you have forgotten something.

FRONT PORCH is private which faces east so enjoyable with your morning coffee or tea and shady in the evenings for a quiet glass of wine. The house is a duplex and I have a wonderful quiet neighbor that lives in the back part of the house completely separate from this space. There is one common wall shared by both units which is the kitchen wall.

There is no TV and no air conditioning in the home. Fans provided during the summer months.

Located minutes from downtown Flagstaff but in a country setting at the end of the road, the loft is adjacent to forest land and situated on 2.5 acres. Walking, running, and biking trails are nearby.

Guest access
The Country Loft is fully furnished, private and self-contained with its own entrance. The Loft is an open space with a full kitchen, dining area including bar seating, bath, living room with big screen TV and sleeping space to include a King memory foam bed and Queen sofa bed. Up to two single folding beds with mattresses may be added on request to accommodate children or small adults. Pocket doors separate the sleeping and living room space from the kitchen and dining area.

Follow the paved stone walkway through the gates to the patio common space if you would like to sit out and catch the sunset or do some star gazing. Adirondack chairs and a table await you for a more private place along the east side of the Country Loft. Secure parking for two vehicles is provided on site.

Other things to note
The Arizona SnowBowl is open by November most years and skiing is fine! Contact me for details on rides to the mountain. Shuttles run every 30 minutes from the bottom of the mountain and other various locations.
