Also, the pool key didn't work on the first two pool gates we tried, but it did work on ONE of the pool gates, so we did get in after all. The unit is close to the street, so the traffic noise was noticeable in the bedrooms, probably especially because it was Saturday night. Overall, a great one-night stay!"

After 4 nights here, glad to be home so I can get a decent nights sleep. Bonus: When you rent a car on business travel, this is the last sign you want to see in the parking lot of the place you are staying....."

The space
Welcome to my building! I have spent the last 11 months bringing this apartment back to life, and have handmade most things in it. So no, you may not have a discount on the rate, but thanks for asking.

One of my favorite things to do is build stuff and make interesting interiors from raw materials and fun finds, and I hope you like this renovation as much as I enjoyed building it. Something about the process of hand making things from raw materials just makes me happy.

The cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms are made from scratch, the floors are concrete and lime-wash paint, and the bent/formed copper piping is a skill I picked up after seeing it in Europe. The living room shelving system is modular French cleat, feel free to arrange as you’d like.

The stove and washing machine are high end European brands, with an eye for efficiency and aesthetics. If you’ve never used a heat pump dryer, it might be worth a google, and don’t forget to empty the water tank.

The bulk of this apartment runs off of the building’s two solar systems, giving you a good idea of what it can be like to not consume resources with abandon, yet still live quite comfortably.

The front garden and courtyard contain many edible plants, please feel free to pick and eat as much as you’d like. The rosemary hedge is a wonderful seasoning to use, and the cucumber vines are quite productive in the warmer months. Out front you will find a fig tree, a lime tree, and a Persian Mulberry as well as an herb garden with basil, rosemary, amaranth in the warmer months, and Hyssop flowers. The passionfruit vines are also prolific in early spring and summer.

Fast wifi, a shaded courtyard, and quiet zen vibes are the norm around here. Please make yourself at home.

There is a 30 Amp RV plug out front (NEMA TT-30R) for you to charge your EV, also running off the solar panels.

Please enjoy the space! I’m on-site pretty frequently tending the garden and checking up on things. Just look for the golf cart.

Well mannered dogs are welcome with certain breed restrictions. No cats allowed due to allergy concerns.

There is a covered parking spot out back, or you are welcome to use the parking spaces out front as well. Please do not block the driveways.
