The Hopi Suite (#2) is a family suite in a beautiful bed & breakfast. This suite sleeps up to 6 guests, in 3 double beds. There is a private bathroom with a bathtub. There are two closets in the room. A mini-fridge and a microwave are provided for you. Extra pillows and blankets are in the closet for extra warmth.

There is a private entrance into the suite on the front left side of the house. Your door is marked with the #2. If you choose, guests can use our enclosed courtyard and gathering room. A proper breakfast welcomes our guest in the morning before they leave for Grand Canyon.

Located just 50 minutes from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, our alpaca ranch not only offers you a place to kick back and relax, but also a look into the raising of alpacas. Alpacas are known for their luxurious fiber. After shearing, each year, we turn their fiber into supple yarn. We have yarn, from many of our animals, in our storefront for purchase.

We offer a brand new vacation rental in the pines with all of the amenities for a comfortable stay. The bedroom has a queen bed and a double bed with a view of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. There’s a pull out sofa-bed in the family room that sleeps two allowing for a family of six to easily sleep in our cozy home.

Walk up the stairs from the entrance and you will find our cute little studio located in the trees with lots of natural light. We've got a small kitchenette for warming up food, but would recommend visiting some of the close by restaurants for larger meals.

Late Check-Out Policy
We kindly ask all guests to adhere to our check-out time as we are unable to accommodate late check-outs. This allows us sufficient time to prepare the property for the next guests and maintain our high standards of cleanliness and readiness. Guests who stay beyond our standard check-out time of 10:00 AM will incur a fee of $50 per hour. This charge helps offset the disruption to our cleaning schedule, ensuring the property is ready and welcoming for incoming guests.


Snow & Winter Weather Policy

Flagstaff experiences significant winter weather, and we want to ensure our guests are well-prepared for snow-related conditions. Please read this policy carefully, as it outlines what is covered and what is not regarding cancellations, travel disruptions, and snow management during your stay.

What IS Covered (Eligible for Refunds/Rescheduling)

The following events qualify for cancellation or rescheduling outside of our standard cancellation policy:

1. Government-Mandated Travel Restrictions
✅ If a government agency issues a mandatory road closure or evacuation order that prevents access to the property.
✅ This must be an official order, not just a recommendation or travel advisory.

2. Large-Scale Utility Outages
✅ If a prolonged power, water, or heating outage occurs due to winter storms, impacting the majority of homes in the area.
✅ Minor disruptions or short-term outages that are common during storms do not qualify.
If one of these covered events occurs, guests may be eligible for a refund, rescheduling, or a credit for a future stay, at our discretion.

What is NOT Covered (Standard Cancellation Policy Applies)

The following situations are not covered by this policy, meaning refunds or rescheduling will not be granted unless they fall under our normal cancellation policy:

1. Personal Travel Issues Due to Weather
❌ If snow or ice makes it difficult for you to drive but roads remain open.
❌ Flight delays, cancellations, or rental car unavailability due to weather.
❌ Choosing not to travel because of a snowstorm or potential bad weather.

2. Lack of Proper Vehicle Equipment
❌ Guests are responsible for ensuring they have a 4WD/AWD vehicle and snow chains (when required).
❌ If you are unable to reach the property due to inadequate vehicle preparation, this will not be grounds for a refund.

3. Local Snow Accumulation or Plowing Delays
❌ Our team will ensure the driveway and main pathways are cleared before check-in. However, additional snowfall during your stay is not a covered event.
❌ Plowing schedules are subject to weather conditions, and delays in plowing are not eligible for refunds.

Check weather and road conditions before departing for your trip.
Be prepared to shovel walkways or vehicles if snow falls during your stay (shovels are provided).

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY is a small intimate European styled B&B and is the CLOSEST B&B to the GRAND CANYONS SOUTH RIM! We're only 19 MILES (20 minutes) from the GCNP south entrance gates! Stays over $159 includes a lite brekkie and goodies to take along for the hike/road. (See below for specifics.) We have 20 acres of peace, quiet and serenity with super-easy and DIRECT ACCESS on/off AZ HWY 64 (to Grand Canyon). Parking's oh-so-easy (left on carport) and is FREE! No schlepping bags any great length. : )
We enjoy catering to couples. We're able to accommodate four-persons only en total. Families/friends w/three-four people will require both rooms. Same rate for second room. (It's not offered here but via our website.)

A two-pooled re-purposed water-feature out back draws elk, deer, pronghorn sheep (aka antelope), various raptors, songbirds, hummingbirds, bunnies, coyotes and native wildlife too various to mention. We even had a badger a few years ago. We're a Certified Wildlife Habitat with the National Wildlife Federation.
Also, you can actually see stars and the Milky Way horizon-to-horizon, especially on new moon nights! However, full-moon nights are something to experience too. These are just a few special qualities you'll experience here, oh-so-close, to the Grand Canyon.

NOTE: Rooms accommodate TWO persons ONLY.

Offered is The HUMMINGBIRD ROOM. After a big day at the Grand Canyon, there is a queen super-pillowtop bed for your comfy-cozy visit to dreamy-dreamland. -Due to the C-19 situation we've had to suspend our standard breakfasts. So, for now, coffee/tea, muffin/pastry/bread and some goodies to take along for hike/road will be available.
~A three or more night stay includes our Yummy-for-Your-Tummy leisurely (served 9-9:30am) southwestern style sit-down one morning, if you'd like. Morning of your choice. Depending on weather, can be served outside.

We are currently at one pet. : ( Our kitty, Lover Boy (aka L.B.) is family. If you have allergies bring along proper medication, if needed. Pet(s)s are not allowed in the guest rooms, unless invited. Aversion to pet hair? Please do not stay with us.

This is our home so, more often than not, will be around to answer questions and provide local tips and current information.

All peeps are welcome to use the common areas and grounds.

The space
This cabin houses a very comfortable queen-sized bed, a full bathroom with a tub/shower, a kitchenette and a small dining table. There’s a TV with a Roku stick, so you can log into your favorite streaming services.

The kitchenette includes: mini-fridge, microwave, hot plate, tea kettle, coffee maker and all the basic cookware.

There is a small closet for hanging clothing and luggage storage.

The cabin has a spacious covered porch with additional outdoor dining space to enjoy all year round.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use all communal spaces in the main house. We have board games, books, cards and more for you to enjoy.

There’s a beautiful courtyard next to the cabin with a fire pit and BBQ grill. We do not provide firewood, but you can purchase it at the nearby market.

An inviting, private bedroom with sitting room, fridge, microwave and bathroom. Located in our Bed and Breakfast near the Grand Canyon! Breakfast is included with your stay, at 8am every morning! Comfortable king bed, television, and free wifi. There are two entrances, a private entrance near your parking spot and a door into the main kitchen/dining area.

Only a 30 minute drive to the Grand Canyon!

We are a travelers home and we value community. This means you likely will be sharing the main house with other guests. While you have the option to enjoy your privacy and quiet time, you also have the option to meet with people from all around the world!

All guests have private, lockable rooms. Guests are welcome to use all communal spaces in the house. There’s a beautiful courtyard with a fire pit and BBQ grill. Please be respectful of other guests and private spaces. Clean up after yourself and keep noise levels down.

Our family suite in a beautiful bed & breakfast. This suite sleeps up to 6 guests and includes 2 queen-sized beds and one full-sized bed. Private bathroom with a bathtub. A mini-fridge and a microwave are provided. Coffee and breakfast are served in the dining room at 8am.

There are two entrances into the suite. One is your private entrance on the front left side of the house, marked with the #2. The other is your access into the main dining room.
