The bus and metro are located at the foot of the residence and take you to the four corners of the city (Free on Saturdays).

Ideally located for a stay to discover Rouen, Madame Capitaine is a stone's throw from Rouen train station (1 hour and 15 minutes from Paris Saint-Lazare and 1 hour and 40 minutes by car) and a 7-minute walk from the city centre.

Inside the station is an Intermarché, open every day except Sunday, where you can buy what you need for cooking, as well as a few bakeries, where you can buy freshly baked pastries, sandwiches and coffee. There is also a large Monoprix, a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Rouen, which is also open on Sundays.

There is no private car park available on site, however, you can park your vehicle in the streets near the accommodation according to the parking rates in force in the city and in the parking spaces just below the apartment for free on Sundays, public holidays and at night. There is also a large car park next to the train station, a 30-second walk from the apartment.

The area around the station is just a few minutes' walk from the historic city centre. As you make your way down to the old town, you can quickly reach iconic sites such as Rouen Cathedral, the Gros-Horloge and the Place du Vieux-Marché. Thanks to the buses and the TEOR network, the centre of Rouen can be reached in about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the line used. This means you can reach iconic places such as Rouen Cathedral, the Place du Vieux-Marché and the Rue du Gros-Horloge without having to use a car.

TEOR (Transport Est-Ouest Rouennais):
The TEOR network, line T4, is also accessible from the area around Rue Champs des Oiseaux. This fast and efficient network consists of several lines that cross Rouen from east to west, connecting key neighbourhoods. TEOR buses have reserved lanes, which reduces travel time, even in heavy traffic.

Vélib' and soft mobility:
Rouen also has a self-service bicycle network, Cy'clic, which can be a good way to get around. Stations can be found nearby, facilitating short trips or city strolls. In addition, there are cycle paths in certain areas around Rue Champs des Oiseaux, allowing for safe, gentle mobility.

- "This apartment was ideal for our seven day stay in June with four adults. It’s a great location in the heart of Rouen and just 300 metres from the underground parking at Palais du Justice (Tip: the weekly ticket is good value). Although it's city centre the noise from traffic and people on the street was not a problem, even with the widows open at night (it was the hottest week of the year with daytime temperatures up to 32C), and there was no noise from any neighbours. Check in was easily arranged and there was someone to meet us, show us around, and hand over the keys and show us round the apartment. The apartment is spacious (bigger than it looks in the pictures), nicely laid out, nicely decorated, and immaculately clean. The kitchen diner had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the linen and towels were good quality, and there was plenty of space for clothes in the drawers and wardrobe, and the lounge was great for the four of us to relax with a drink in the evenings. The host responded quickly to all my messages, and was especially helpful after checkout when I discovered I'd locked the keys for my car inside the apartment, but they came round very quickly to let me back in to get them. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we’d be very happy to stay here again."
