- "I personally don't like having to carry 25 kg of linen on my back across 400 m, and then spend one hour putting the linen on the beds, coming back to the reception because they did not give us the right set, puzzling over which linen goes where, etc. Sure they provide caddies, but they seem to always be taken or in a state of disrepair. Very homely, traditional decor and furniture but all the necessities inside and outside the house you would need. Amazing views from the house/balcony was a real highlight, the best from all we looked at. House was clean, all practical things thought of with towels, linen, kitchen equipment.Nicole very kindly kept the pool open for us even though it was the last week of October and with sun every day with 23/24C it was much used! One thing to note - the location on VRBO map has the house in central Sarlat but it’s not, the listing rightly says it’s 3.5k outside Sarlat, so not sure why the map location is different. Also we wanted to be south of Sarlat near the Greenway cycle route and so we asked which side of Sarlat it was and were told by Louis, the booking assistant, that it was north of Sarlat and so we don’t book for the first few weeks of exploring but upon deciding to book anyway, discovered that it’s actually dead west of Sarlat which was better for us in the end. Otherwise all the communications were great and Nicole the host was amazing and helpful with lots of things and wanting to make our stay comfortable. We hope to visit again for sure!"

Ideal location, quiet, on foot, 15 minutes from downtown, 4 minutes from the train station. A pretty decoration, a haven of peace. The owners, young retirees, speak fluent English and basic Spanish, and regularly receive foreigners .... The place is located near major tourist spots and is suitable for those looking for peace in the evening as well as those who want to enjoy the entertainment of the city .... there is room to park a vehicle.

We always take a few bits with us to help in the kitchen based on passed holidays, kitchen knives, frying pan (hob is induction). we didn't need anything as the place is well equipped. Gardens. This photos do not do the gardens justice. The plot is large and wraps round the apartment with the main direction South to South West. The tress give privacy from surrounding properties but do not overshadow the apartment. Patio - Large with a shaded area and also a non-shaded area. Very quiet considering it is in the town. The swimming pool pump water gives a sound like a garden water feature which is strangely calming. Swimming Pool - Wonderful and the also a suntrap. Parking - Plenty of space and shaded to some degree. Location to Town. We walked in many times. On google maps it gives 19 minutes to walk, the property is actually 1 minute up the hill from google positioning so allow 20 minutes to cathedral. It is an accurate reflection. My only warning is that the whole walk into town is without any hills except the last 50 to 60 metres where there is a steep hill. If you have any walking difficulty beware. Access at the property. The house and the apartment are on a hill side. There are steps down through the garden to the apartment, it would not be suitable for wheel chairs nor would I recommend for anybody with walking difficulty. There were the basics for cooking and living needs, but also more luxurious items like a bathroom towel heating rack that also has a stereo. Each of our three kids had their own space with a full-size bed which they all claimed were very comfortable. Our room was gorgeous with a beautiful view of the open-air market (on market days) and we could see the cathedral. The location was perfect and the restaurant next door (with the knights outside) was one of the best meals we had during our two week vacation. And Marc gave us recommendations (the restaurant next door being one of them) on restaurants that proved to be the best Sarlot had to offer. Marc and Allison were always responsive to any questions/needs and made every attempt to give us a great stay in Sarlot."

Laborie is a charming house, located in the heart of the Périgord Noir near Sarlat. A terraced house, you live in the largest part, completely independent: 3 bedrooms, large kitchen, dining room and living room, 2 bathrooms with walk-in shower and bathtub.
The lodging has to be cleaned before departure.

The space
An authentic accommodation located in the countryside in an exceptional environment in terms of tranquility while remaining close to the city center of Sarlat-la-Canéda (4.5 km). The house is an old stone farmhouse; it is located in the middle of a field of more than 3 hectares just by woods and hiking trails. Guests are housed in the larger part of the house, fully separated and roomy; the other part is occupied by the owner's sister.

Guests are housed in the larger part of the building. Laid out in a U-shape, fully independent, it totals ​​about 110 m2. It comprises on the ground floor a large kitchen, a dining room, a lounge, a toilet and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. On the first floor it includes three bedrooms, a bathroom with a bathtub and a toilet.

At the request of the tenants, it is possible to provide sheets and pillowcases at a price of 9 euros per person per bedlinen. Towels are provided for 6 euros per person.
If you are a large family (more than 2 children) or if you are 5 or more, a special offer can be proposed. Please, send a message to the owner and the number of tenants stating the age of the children for the desired period, he will make you a special offer.
Cleaning:
The lodging has to be cleaned before departure. Cleaning and disinfectant products are available during your stay. We make sure the accommodation is well cleaned for each new host.
