This recently renovated (2017) and elegant apartment is located in the heart of Uzés, on the Place aux Herbes. The 16th century building was originally built for a prominent family. The staircase is unique in Uzés and makes a lovely entrance to the apartment on the first floor. Inside, the high provençal style ceilings and stunning fireplace mantels set the mood along with the stone floors, tall windows and beautiful decoration. Looking out on the lively square from the living room windows, one can only imagine the history of this enchanting place.
The bedrooms are located in the back of the apartment, on a calm pedestrian street, assuring a good night's rest. Each bedroom has plenty of storage space, comfortable bedding, ensuite bathrooms and blackout curtains.
The apartment has been thoughtfully renovated with all the modern conveniences in order to make your stay luxurious and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathrooms are modern and the bedrooms furnished with comfortable beds and pretty antiques. There are personally chosen antiques and furniture throughout the apartment, making your stay even more interesting. There is also laundry area with a washer and dryer.

We stayed the end of January into February. The weather was perfection; sunny and in the 60’s. We were able to participate in the Wednesday and Saturday market- which is just a treat. Be sure to book accordingly. The apartment is charming. Dominique has provided every amenity you could possibly need. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics. The open kitchen/living room and dining room is light and airy. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious. This was such a perfect home away from home. I didn’t want to leave and am plotting my return. The apartment is beautifully decorated. Dominique has a book documented the renovations of the apartment and you can see all the effort that went into the property. Dominique was very responsive at every step of our visit. She is a great host. She left a bottle of wine and espresso- she doesn’t know it but she couldn’t have offered a better host gift! We did get a rental car so we could drive to other locations. You could also take the bus. We just didn’t want to be on anyone’s schedule so we opted for the rental. A car park is very nearby and very reasonable rates. We spent a month in Europe- Uzès and this apartment is our favorite place. I hope to return and will definitely do a month here next time."

Modern house of 70 sqm arranged over one floor, situated on the doorstep of the beautiful garrigue countryside, yet only 3 km from the historic town centre of Uzès, and walking distance to a supermarket and other amenities.

The house offers a small Mediterranean garden adorned with traditional stone walls, olive and pomegranate trees and a south facing patio, complete with dining table and chairs. The highlight is a small private pool in an intimate courtyard to the side of the house, perfect for a refreshing dip on a summer’s day.

The house is only a few minutes’ walk from the Eure valley where you can follow numerous walking trails amongst a picturesque landscape. The walk to the centre of Uzès takes you through the valley offering fantastic views throughout, and takes just 20 minutes. The house is also very close to the Haribo museum.

The Gorges du Gardon, a classified Unesco world heritage site, is only 8 km away and is perfect for nature lovers and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and canoeing. The Pont du Gard, an impressive roman aqueduct traversing the gorge, is also nearby. The city of Nîmes is only a 25 min drive away and Avignon 40 min.

- "We were blown away by Marie and Etienne's place. It looks brand new and very modern. Marie and Etienne are very gracious hosts though they spoke very little English we managed to communicate well. Texting seems to work best. The bonus was a great swimming pool that served us well due to it being July in the south of France. We rented a car after taking the train from Paris to Nimes and drove the rest of the way, about 35km. This gave us an opportunity to see the landscape as we drove in. We didn't expect a great town up the road called Uzes only a few kilometers away. Beautiful central square and shops galore. If you want to experience France outside the large metropolitan areas, this is the place. It was just perfect."

The apartment is on the first floor of an 18th century town house in a tranquil pedestrian street in the historic centre of Uzès, away from the crowds yet just a minute’s walk from the busy and popular Place aux Herbes - the best of both worlds. White wooden beams and walls, limed wooden and tiled terracotta floors provide a simple backdrop for colourful textiles. A large, light and well-equipped open-plan kitchen and dining area looks on to the street, and opens through to the comfortable sitting room with huge period stone fireplace. This room provides a welcome retreat from the sun in summer.

A small and sunny glazed conservatory area with table and chairs opening on to a balcony area is perfect for cooler days and leads up two or three steps to a large sunny terrace (much sought-after in the centre of Uzès) surrounded by trees, rooftops and with glimpses of the countryside beyond.

The master bedroom has a double bed, while a second, smaller bedroom, the other side of the little salon, has twin beds. There is a shower room with WC, and second WC with basin.

Don't miss this spacious apartment of a 16th century house with Pool in the centre of Uzès. It has been completely and beautifully renovated in the past year. It is located a minute's stroll from the famous Place aux Herbes. On a protected street of the historic center of this charming town, on the second floor (European), of a 4 century old building. While the lower two floors are occupied by the owners of the building, who were once owners of a well-known Château Hotel, this apartment is an completely independent home. You will be Chez Vous.
The restoration has strived to maintain the character and proportions of the original historic home, while providing all modern conveniences, and a lot of charm. It is pleasing to the eye and soothing to the senses. The remarkable free-standing circular stone stair case remains a tribute to the engineering skills of the builders of centuries ago. The wooden ceiling beams and old stone floors have been maintained throughout and lend a special historical ambiance to the rooms. The spacious and gracious living room looks out over the fig and bamboo trees, and the new swimming pool of the small garden of the property and the rooftops of the town, while comfortable seating, elegant furnishings and the light and airy atmosphere make for a relaxing experience. A small corner desk is looking out over the garden is perfect for writing or working with a laptop via the WIFI. We chose this place because it was close to town but had a pool (a rare combination). The pool was fantastic and we used it almost every day. The photos are accurate - the space is small, but it is very cleverly designed and comfortable. We didn't feel cramped. Our daughter loved having her own room, and they even left some toys and books for her. The kitchen is well stocked and we had every thing we needed. We have been in dozens of French rental accommodations over the last ten years and very rarely do we say, “When we come back we are staying here”. The apartment is perfectly located near the center of Uzès, Le Place des Herbes, a great boulangerie is right across the street and there was easy access to everything we needed for our two week stay. The apartment itself is the best equipped we have ever seen. Not just the modern kitchen, which had everything, but every little amenity a couple would need was there. Lots of room to move around in, too. A big living area, good-sized bedroom and bed with a walk-in closet, enclosed veranda off of the bedroom and, importantly, lots of good lighting. My wife especially appreciated the excellent lighting in the bathroom for applying make-up. Cécile was the most attentive hostess and helped us with whatever we needed. My apartment is located in a wooded and quiet residence about 15 minutes' walk from Uzès.
It is fully equipped, has a balcony as well as a separate bedroom.
Its dedicated parking will allow you to arrive serenely at the location of your stay.
All you have to do is schedule your visits: the Eure Valley, the Pont du Gard, the market, taste pélardon, olives, local wine...
++ Between June and September, you can enjoy the residence's swimming pool.

In Uzès, studio with independent entrance furnished in our house. 15 min walk from the city center, garden table, deckchair, 24 m2 private terrace. Large FREE private parking, bike garage, motorcycle! Induction, oven, Senseo coffee machine, fridge etc! 2-seater bench folding up to make a 160 bed, everything is new . Widescreen TV. Pets not allowed. Laser bowling nearby. 5 min. from Haras National. Supermarket within a 5-minute walk. Bed linen/towels are provided. Wifi+ free pop.

The entire accommodation was refurbished in 2021 by us. Fully equipped kitchen, with all the essentials for cooking.
Parking where you can park all kinds of vehicles, from simple cars, to trucks and horse trailers.
You have your private, fenced garden with your deckchairs and garden table.
We are happy to host visitors and we are accommodating as much as possible and reasonable of course. Documentation is available in the apartment to discover the region. Wednesday morning and Saturday Market day in Uzès.

We rent a 25 m2 independent studio attached to our house in Uzes.

The studio is independent from the rest of the house. It has outdoor access to a garden-floor terrace.

The studio has just been renovated. We are renovating a stone house. We have a vegetable garden and two cats.

Access to the city center is on foot (30min), by bike (15min) or by car (2min).

The large terrace allows you to eat outside if the weather permits.
