- "The property is in a quiet area and well kept. They literally have thought of everything and know the true meaning of customer service. When we checked in, the experience was fast with great interaction. When we arrived to our unit; within 15 minutes of arrival our downstairs unit was bombarded with the sounds of a large barking dog and children running back and fourth. This continued for some time so I had a brief encounter with the upstairs neighbors to remind them they now had downstairs neighbors. They became indifferent and informed us they would try to keep it down but couldnt promise. Good enough, they relented at least for the evening, but by 715a the next morning the running and barking reconvened. We contacted the front office to which they were very accomodating and moved us immediately to an alternate, and quiet unit for the duration of the stay. "

Come dig our east coast Florida vibe! See it all from the comfort of our recently renovated vintage Florida cottage.

Built in 1955, the kitchen, bathrooms and living areas were renovated in 2019/2020. Very high quality impact resistant windows were installed in 2020 adding beauty, comfort and an extra measure of security to our cute little cottage! We also installed a new A/C unit and replaced all the duct work in 2020 and we replaced the roof in 2021. Our approximately 900 square foot cottage is cute, clean and provides all the amenities you need while you enjoy your stay on Florida's east coast. A king size bed in the master bedroom sleeps two. Two single beds in the second bedroom sleeps two. We have two large and comfortable oversized couches in the living room that sleep two more people, for a total of six people. We have a lovely screened in porch with a ceiling fan for comfort. In the side garden as an added bonus outdoor area, we have seating with a gas grill and fountain. Our kitchen is complete with enough pots, pans, cutlery, glassware and dishes to comfortably cook a home made meal for 6 people. A travel size shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided in both bathrooms. A washer and dryer are located in a laundry room in the rear of the cottage. Detergent, bleach, and dryer sheets are provided for your convenience. In addition to bathroom towels we also provide beach towels. Assorted beach toys are also available. We have driveway parking with a car port. The driveway can accommodate 3 vehicles parked one in front of the other. Street parking is not permitted.

NASA’s Kennedy Space Center/Space X/Blue Origin sit directly across the water on Merritt island. If you’re in town during a launch there’s no better place to be! Kennedy Space Center offers great tours of its facilities and launch pads plus cool exhibits including an up close encounter with the space shuttle Atlantis and the Apollo rockets.

We are centrally located fifty minutes or less from everything central Florida has to offer, local beaches like all-natural Playalinda Beach at the Canaveral National Seashore (thirty minutes) or World-Famous Cocoa Beach (thirty five minutes). The "most famous beach in the world," Daytona beach, is a quick zip up I-95 north just (forty-five minutes) away. Kennedy space center is (twenty minutes) and If you’re interested in visiting Orlando, it’s only fifty minutes to Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World, I-Drive, Fun Spot, the Orlando Eye and Orlando International Airport (forty minutes) If you want to take a cruise, do a little gambling on a casino ship, or enjoy some local night life, Port Canaveral is only (thirty minutes) away. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can escape two hours north up I-95 and explore the nation’s oldest town, St. Augustine. You can also reach Florida’s west coast in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg/Clearwater Beach area in only two and a half hours.

There’s lots to do in Titusville as well. We are in walking distance to a brand new park with swinging chairs overlooking the banks of the Indian River lagoon. Enjoy SpaceEx/NASA/Blue Origin rocket launches from this park or from many local park or at the end of the driveway! Two restaurants offering delicious fare (El Leoncito and Dogs R us) are within walking distance (under quarter mile). If you are in to wildlife, we are five minutes from the Enchanted Forests nature trails and ten minutes from the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. We are five minutes from Titusville's Historic downtown shopping area with a live theater. Also close by is a beautiful park and marina with a new splash pad for kids.

While here, enjoy our dazzling sunshine and warm weather. Relax beside our wonderful waterways and pristine beaches from dawn to dusk. You can glimpse one of our famous alligators and manatees lounging lazily in our waters. As easily as you can Mickey, Donald and Goofy being silly at Disney world. Try some of the best fishing in the world off the Indian River lagoon. Or try your hand on a deep sea chartered boat. Maybe enjoy the water for the day on a kayak or simply go in ankle deep. You can hike some of our local trails and try spotting the many kinds of birds and reptiles we are famous for.

It would help if at least one of the den sofas was an actual pull out vs. just putting sheets on the sofa itself. Didn’t realize that the second bathroom was outside the main house through the screened in porch. Again, it was fine and everything had been renovated and was very nice. There was a mix up with the date and time of our check in, causing us to have to check in late. But the host Shawn was apologetic, contacting us as soon as the mix up was discovered and worked hard and diligently to get us in the cottage only 2.5 hours late. He also was VERY gracious in refunding us one day’s worth of rental fee for the mix up — while that was not necessary, it was much appreciated! Overall, we had a very good time and were very pleased with the accommodations, hospitality, and location. We would stay again, especially if it were just my wife and I."

Due to hurricane damage the end of the dock is not usable and there is still visible damage around the exterior of the property. There's still about 175 feet of dock to use. Watch the dolphins play in the Indian River Lagoon from your private patio or from the 200' dock. Although I hope you do not see any during your stay, bugs, are native to tropical climates like Florida. They are a chronic problem for Florida homeowners and are impossible to eradicate. To keep them out of the property we have a professional pest control company spray and have a few bait traps placed in strategic areas. While this drastically reduces the chance of you seeing a bugs in the villa, the chance of you seeing one is not zero. If you do see any bugs please let us know immediately we will have our pest control company come out ad take care of it. We don't drink alcohol and took advantage of being close to so many kava bars! The back porch was a nice touch to wake up slowly in the morning and sip some tea. There is a pool at the complex but we didn't get to use it during our stay because it was a bit too chilly. Everyone at the complex seemed very nice and even helpful to another couple who was trying to enter the building with a bunch of luggage in their hands. There is an elevator which is very nice if you have large bags.Celimar (our host) was so kind and wished us Happy Holidays and stayed in touch during our visit to make sure we were set up properly. We do try hard to keep things clean however at times dishes may accumulate in the sink or a guest may not clean up behind themselves in the restroom.
The large porch in back is brand new and can be enjoyed by guest! You may access the porch by following the rock walkway on the left of the house. This area is not finished, there is a above ground swimming pool coming soon & sunshades will be put in when I’m able!

Activities include water sports of all kind. kayaking, sailing, fishing, personal water craft, air boat rides, sky diving, bicycle trails, and many more fun activities.

The space
Welcome to our UNIQUE STAY in this beautiful, quiet Titusville neighborhood. Near beaches, Kennedy Space Center & tons of recreation on the Indian River Lagoon. Watch the rocket launches right outside the front door!

This is just a few blocks off the Florida Trail Bike Path, 3 miles from I-95, 30min from Canaveral National Seashore, 45min from Port Canaveral, and 40min from Orlando theme parks. It's a great stay for Space Coast guests, visitors, and travelers! Family friendly and a fun, memorable experience!

THE SPACE

This Skoolie is in a quiet neighborhood that was originally built in Gainesville, FL by our friends, The Rains Family. It was lived in for 7 months (with their 7 children!) while they built a home. They completely renovated it from top to bottom adding modern touches for your comfort. It's beautifully designed with a luxurious feel. They drove it down here to Titusville, parked it in our driveway, and the rest is history!

DETAILS

There is 1 Queen bed, at the very end of the bus. It's cozy, and can fit 2 adults comfortably. There is a futon couch that turns into another sleeping area. This can fit 1 adult or 2 small children. At the front of the bus, there are 2 benches/ seating area that could also be used as extra sleeping space.

There is a full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker. Everything you need to cook is there!

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire school bus, driveway, and front yard. There is a backyard area with an archery range. (This can be utilized with advanced notice.)
