There is also the incredible, newly built Trees Adventures - In Lane Poole Park. You'll also find wineries, café's, art gallery and a world famous Heritage Centre.

We are just a 5 minutes walk to the train station where you can climb aboard the train to see the forest from either a steam train (in winter months) or a diesel- powered converted open freight wagon with tram seating.
On Saturday nights, the dining cars come out where you can have a dining experience from yesteryear. The large picture windows give an eerily beautiful view of the forest lit by the train's strategically placed lights.

Enclosed in the end of our GP shed, made from recycled timber and tin, our rustic Outcamp was designed primarily for cyclists undertaking the Mundabiddi Bike Trail which used to wind past our gate or a "rustic country get away" short stay for guests who want simplicity (there is no TV or WIFI provided) and to be out and about exploring - walking, bike riding, kayaking or visiting wineries etc during the day.

THINGS TO DO DURING THE DAY.....

Bird watchers will love this area as we have many different bird species on the farm including the famous Splendid Wrens, whistlers, robins, thornbills, spinebills, fantails and also a large group of red and white Tail Black Cockatoos.

There are fantastic walking and riding tracks everywhere in the forest close to us. If you are keen you can ride to the Arklow Trails north of Collie or south to the newly upgraded Wellington Dam trail network.

We have created three walking trails from the farm. They are well sign posted and include the historic spur line to the old mill.

You can walk to the historic Worsley Church "St Davids" to check out the history of the founding fathers of the Worsley region. Water skiing is permitted on nearby Stockton lake. You can kayak on Wellington dam and enjoy a coffee at the Wellington dam Kiosk (licensed). The new dam mural is fantastic and is a sight to behold. Electric bikes avail to hire at the dam (Adventure Connections). Our neighbor runs a tour/transfer company (Forest Explorers) - you can join for a shared tour of wildflowers, or private vineyard tour or create your own itinerary.

We are just a 20 minute drive from the Ferguson valley through Honeymoon Pool wall and about the same from Harvey and 10-15 mins to Collie. All areas have interesting things to do on your break. For reference, The Outcamp is on the Mundabiddi map 3b on the Dwellingup leg, approx 5 kms past the Collie loop turnoff. (Worsley Back Road - Gastaldo Road intersection closest corner)

Walk down to Dodge dam at dusk and relax with a glass of wine. Watch the horses. cattle and sheep graze in the paddocks.
Children can help collect the eggs and when possible, have a brush of my pony if I’m not busy. There are goats and lambs in season as well.

Binningup Beach Shack is also in a fantastic location in Binningup as it is only a five minute walk to Binningups main swimming beach, boat ramp, pirate ship playground, Binningup General Store and tennis courts.

Binningup Beach Shack is an A Frame home with 3x bedrooms and 2x bathrooms with enough space and beds to more than comfortably sleep 10 guests.

The downstairs area consists of a fully self-contained kitchen equipped with all the essentials you may require. There is room at the dining table to seat 6 people with room for another 5 people at the kitchen bench, or if you prefer you can enjoy a BBQ and dine alfresco. The spacious and comfy lounge has enough space to seat 6 people with a TV and DVD player. For some relaxation time why not grab a book and lay back in the sitting room or in the winter months cosy up by the tile fire with a glass of wine. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed with plenty of storage space to tuck all your things away and access to the bathroom. The bathroom has a shower and double vanity then there is a separate toilet. If you are staying for a bit longer and require some washing done the laundry has a washing machine and clothes dryer you are more than welcome to use.

Upstairs is a second lounge/sleeping area which has a couch, TV and DVD player, there is also a set of single bunk beds and another queen bed. There are two more bedrooms upstairs also, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The upstairs bathroom consists of shower, vanity and toilet.

Outside of the house is a very large grassed back yard, great for the kids or fur babies to run around in. The backyard is not fenced though so you will need to bring a lead with you to tie your dog up at night if he/she is coming on holiday with you.

There is ample space for parking even if you are bringing your boat with you.

Binningup beach is a popular holiday destination with the lively natural reef that runs parallel to the main beach, providing a protected area for swimming, snorkelling, diving or beach fishing. The reef also provides safe access to its natural boat ramp for launching off on your next fishing adventure. There is also 4WD access to the south of the main beach or north of Westcoast Drive, a popular beach for surfing in the winter months. Or if you prefer to bring the clubs, Binningup is well known for its stunning 9 hole golf course. Binningups general store sells all the necessities such as groceries, fuel, alcohol, ice, fishing gear and bait, free use of an air compressor for inflating tyres, DVD’s, magazines and takeaway food. After sixteen years of trading on weekends selling our wines, cakes and coffee we decided to close and create this lovely two person private stay with all the comforts you require to enjoy this magic area.

There is a brewery just 400 metres across the road and wineries - two within walking distance - all around with foods for you to enjoy - with many activities to discover in this exciting area. The bathroom has floor heating and a heated towel rail for those cold nights and chilly winter mornings.
There’s a gas BBQ at the accommodation and a fire pit at the original farm dairy overlooking the dam is about 40m away. There is some chairs and a table for you to relax and take in the views.

The condition of this cabin is outstanding and felt bigger than the pictures do it justice we found. All kitchen gadgets (incl. SMEG oven and gas hob, microwave and four slotted toaster), cooking gear and utensils are in mint condition too as well as the washing machine and dryer! The indoor fireplace, outdoor BBQ and fire pit making winter nights under the stars super cozy and the owners even provided a small amount of firewood for us to use, very kind :) It was simply great to meet Luke and Kes every morning (optional) to feed their cute farm animals and to have a good chat about their life in the country and any recommendations they might have for our short trip to the Wellington State Forest. Also their property is huge with lush, grassy-green hillside paddocks (now in winter time) where sheep run free. There are water holes for swimming and boats to use (that we didn't take advantage of, as winter is too cold). Birdsong every morning and crickets during the evening making sure you will be able to forget about hectic city life for a while :) On arrival we have received a small basket full of breakfast goodies, fruits and local eggs for our consumption, a small carton of milk in the fridge, as well as some coffee capsules and tea bags inside of containers on the rustic jarrah countertop. The coastal town of Binningup is located 127km 1.5 hours drive south of Perth.

Binningup is a popular holiday spot for families with a safe swimming beach, tennis courts, skate park, oval, basket ball courts, play ground, beach fishing, numerous golf courses near by and lawn bowling all at your doorstep. Restricted 4WD access is permitted to the beach. For boating enthusiasts there is an easy to access boat ramp and loads of parking.

The local store/bottle shop sells just about everything with an extensive take away menu. Meals are also available on Friday night at the Binningup Country Club and on Thursday and Friday nights at the Binningup Watersports and Fishing Club right on the beach front. Australind is just a short 10 to 15 minute drive south for the larger Coles Shopping Centre and other variety stores.

Binningup offers a relaxing beachside holiday experience with close proximity to South West tourist attractions Dunsborough and Margaret River wine regions just over an hours drive away. Harvey Dam and the Ferguson Valley is near by along with Gnomesville, a must see attraction in the area.

The carpeted Master Bedroom is soaked in natural light and has ocean views. Appointed with a very comfortable QS Bed. A large walk-through ensuite, shower cubicle and vanity with separate toilet and walk-in dressing room. Heated towel rails are a special touch.

The coastal town of Binningup is located 127km (1.5 hours drive) south of Perth. Binningup is a popular holiday spot for families. With a safe swimming beach, fishing, golfing and lawn bowling all at your doorstep. Restricted 4WD access is permitted to the beach. For those boating enthusiasts there is an easy to access boat ramp and loads of parking.

The local Binningup Store / Liquor outlet sells just about everything! Their menu of Burgers, Sandwiches and Fish and Chips is definitely worth a try. Meals are also available on Friday night at the Binningup Country Club and on Thursday and Friday nights at the Binningup Watersports and Fishing Club right on the beach front. Australind is just a short 20 min drive south for the larger Coles Shopping Centre and other variety stores.

In all Binningup offers a relaxing beachside holiday experience with close proximity to South West tourist attractions. In just an hours drive you will be in the ever popular Margaret River tourist district.

Harvey Dam, Harvey River Estate Cellar Door featuring the "Big Orange" and the Ferguson Valley is a short day trip away for lunch and wine tasting and the not to forget worldly "Gnomesville" attraction.

The City of Bunbury is just 25 minutes drive away with the opportunity of visiting the Dolphin Discovery Centre. The colourful city centre show cases some wonderful artwork amongst their many shops and popular restaurants.

Lovely accommodation in the stunning Ferguson Valley, a beautiful pocket of Western Australia’s south west, Henty Lodge offers guests the chance to enjoy a slower pace of life in this stunning Ferguson Valley Accommodation. Being only a couple of hours’ drive from Perth, Henty Lodge is ideally situated for visitors to take advantage of the region’s diverse attractions such as wineries, breweries, pottery & glass studio. Gnomesville, a village of gnomes in nearby Wellington Mill, is a particularly charming place. We are only 15 minutes from the fabulous Wellington Dam where you will find the fantastic mural which is painted across the dam wall. Also nearby, just twenty minutes from Henty Lodge, is Bunbury, a port city with strong links to the history of WA. Situated on almost 80 acres, the property’s stunning features include gardens, woods and a lake. Guests are welcome to explore the property at their leisure. Perhaps bring your wellies in the cooler months and enjoy some long walks around the dam. You may spot some of Henty Lodge’s abundant wildlife including birds, butterflies, frogs and occasionally long necked turtles.

We also have around 120 sheep and an Alpaca on the property, Freddie. From time to time we have lambs that we have hand reared and bottle feeding – you are welcome to help us do this – just ask!

Our guest accommodation is housed in a separate wing with a private guest entrance.

The lodge is fully self contained and has 2 bedrooms both with an ensuite. You can choose to book 1 bedroom (maximum 2 guests) or both bedrooms (maximum 4 guests). Please choose which will suit you. If you choose the 1 bedroom the 2nd bedroom will be locked as we do not book anyone else into that room.
