Situated 1.6 km from the town centre and directly on the foreshore of Nepean Bay. The house is modern and has large living areas , with the front deck stretching the width of the house overlooking the sea . The beach is just a few steps away. The house has 3 queen bedrooms to accomodate up to 6 adults and a bunk room for 4 kids. There are 2 separate lounge areas, both with flat screen TVs, to ensure there is ample space for everyone to relax in. The kitchen is fitted out with modern appliances and faces the open plan dining and living area leading out to the front deck.

Bedding configuration consists of two Queen bedrooms [one with ensuite with double shower heads] and a 3rd bedroom containing 2 single-sized bunk beds [sleeping 4] and a cot.

Bedroom 4 has a queen bed and a built-in robe and bedroom 5 has a bunk with a double mattress on the bottom and a single mattress above. This room also has a king single bed with a double quilt, and a chest of drawers. (Please note: top bunks are not suitable for adults).

There is a hot/cold outdoor shower at the rear of the house for washing off after the beach and a clothes line to hang your towels. An outdoor fish cleaning table with running water can be found in the backyard if you happen to catch your evening meal.

The house is located 1 block back and a 2 minute walk from the beach and enjoys a slightly elevated ocean vista. The town centre is a 2 minute drive or a 15 minute walk away and offers many conveniences such as pubs, cafes, petrol stations, banks, restaurants, take-aways and other specialty shops. There is also a supermarket, hairdresser, bakery, gallery and museum.
Kingscote has an ocean tidal pool, jetty, playground and lovely walking trails. Nearby is the Kangaroo Island Brewery, Kangaroo Island Spirits, Bay of Shoals Winery and the honey producer Island Beehive. A short drive away is the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery, Clifford's Honey Farm and the Emu Bay Lavender Farm. Kingscote is the perfect central location from which to explore the island.

Island Daydreamer has only recently been renovated and includes all new furniture and electrical appliances as well as new linen and towels.

Guests will have access to the entire house* and garden (front and back yards) apart from a small number of locked cupboards in hallway, laundry and kitchen where supplies are kept as well as the garage and granny flat behind garage.

Set on 20 acres of bushland, you’ll be immersed in the tranquillity and peace of our property from the moment you arrive here. For the weary traveller, or if you’re working on the island, you can relax and rejuvenate at the end of the day, embraced by the wilderness.
You will probably see a family of kangaroos, a flock of blue wrens or if you’re lucky you might even see an echidna meandering along the path. Our guests enjoy wide open spaces which are home to a variety of Australian wildlife.
Kangaroo Island Cabins offer a serene and tranquil setting with budget friendly self-contained accommodation. We’re only a 5 minute drive from the town centre of Kingscote and a 12 minute drive from Kingscote Airport. The property is fairly level and easy to take yourself off for a walk and discover and explore the flora and fauna of the region.

The Grain Store is a boutique studio style unit located on the western end of the Kangaroo Island Brewery production shed. A one bedroom studio with a queen bed, kitchenette, and a weber q on the deck. We are completely off-grid! A comfy sofa bed and heater for those cold nights. Great panoramic views of Nepean Bay and MacGillivray Hills. Walk to the KIB cellar door in 30 seconds! We also have a few other accommodation sites on the brewery property, check them out by searching KI Brew Quarters!

Our guest house is the perfect place to unwind & relax in a modern, stylish & comfortable studio after exploring what our beautiful Island has to offer. You will be staying on the same property as our own private home but with our rural location and paddock views we feel as if you will have your own privacy. We are located approx. 45 min drive from the ferry terminal in Penneshaw, 5 min drive from the Islands main town of Kingscote & 15 min drive from beautiful swimming/driving beach at Emu Bay.

The space
The kitchenette has a range of appliances including air fryer, microwave, George Foreman Grill, slow cooker toaster, kettle, Nespresso Pod coffee machine (some pods provided but feel free to bring your own), bar fridge and all the essentials you will need for preparing a delicious breakfast or basic lunch & dinners.
Note: There is NO oven/cook top.
Refresh with our beautiful, fresh drinking water from the cold tap in the kitchenette.
You will find a variety of board games in the draws of the TV cabinet.

Unfortunately our resident ducks were hit and killed on the road 🥺 but we have plenty of chickens, sheep, a Backnose Valais sheep named Vali, 2 mini goats named Jupiter & Jayden and a mini donkey named Max! You are welcome to pat them 😊
