- "This unit is decent but not stunning. It was quite unclean when we arrived, you can't park outside the unit, as it would block others and our ute didn't fit in carport. The pictures indicate the beach is right out back, which it's not and can't be seen or appreciated unless you take the 5min walk and it is lovely. If you have any mobility issues, you won't be able to get into the spa/bath/shower as it's so high and there's no step. The bedroom AC cycled on and off all night every minute which was annoying. There was plenty of dish washing & washing machine sachets, which was greatly appreciated and the cupboards are well stocked with pots, pans and utensils for self contained living. Overall, for the price, we were a little underwhelmed and won't stay again."

- "Great house perfect for out group of friends for a week. Walk to the beach is a bit steep but practically on your backdoor. The pool was nice and clean, we used that at least once a day. Only downside is that its not really within walking distance to any shops or restaurants and its hard to get taxis or ubers on off peak season. Otherwise it was in a nice quiet area we got groceries delivered and made the most of the kitchen"

The space
Aphrodite’s cottage is a little white weatherboard high-set cottage just minutes walk from main beach and James Street.

Full of her own quirks and charm, our gorgeous little home is full of light and ocean breeze, the living space has casement windows running the full length of the room and the windows in our dining and kitchen areas open up to a view of our back garden.

The bedroom is a small space with its window opening to view the mangroves along the creek. It is fitted with a comfortable double bed, antique dresser/desk and chair. You will wake to the sound of birds feeding from the pink blossom of tree in the front garden that blooms almost all year round. The room is styled by owner and artist Jules’ in her eclectic and inspiring bohemian beach style and is complimented with lush tropical plants.

The tiny bathroom may well be your favourite room of the house, with a curtain of lush vines and indoor plants cocooning the bath and shower and complimentary magnesium salts as our gift
for that extra ling and completely relaxing soak.

Aphrodite’s Cottage is a working art studio. During your stay artist and host Jules Holland may be working on her paintings, hat making or embroidery art or preparing to teach one of her many art workshops and local creative events for Aphrodite Art School. You are welcome for a tour of the private creative spaces also. If you feeling creatively inspired by your surroundings Jules often has creative art kits for sale, all air b&b guests receive 10% discount.

Guest are also welcome to borrow the adorable vintage bicycle (basket included of-course) or the beginner surfboard. You will find a gorgeous picnic kit in your room that you are welcome to use which includes a boho picnic rug and rattan cooler basket with glasses. Jules will point you in all the right directions for the best beaches, hikes, lookouts and wonderlust opportunities!

You are also welcome to lounge on the comfy daybed perched on our little verandah, if you find yourself on the deck at sunset you will see the magnificent evening display of fruit bats that stretch as far as the eye can see. Have a swing in our hammock under the fairy lights beneath our beautiful tree in the front garden, it also makes for a perfect little picnic spot to relax and unwind out of the sun.

This is a place for everyone to come, relax and unplug from the hustle and bustle of the world. You will find that we have no tv, or detracting electronic appliances, we even boil the kettle on the stove. Take this opportunity to reconnect to yourself and enjoy the peace of unplugging from the machine just a little.

Ask us about our artist residence option if you are also a creative at heart. Be supported and cocooned in paradise while you devote undistracted time to your creative practice.

Aphrodite’s cottage is full of character and life and has an incredibly relaxed feel to it. Free first-in-best-dressed onsite parking is available. Two driveways exist and are located in Adelaide St, the southern end beneath the building (limited undercover) and northern end behind the building. Access behind the building requires keycard entry, entry is through the front until the unit keycard is sourced.

The apartment is privately owned and access is obtained via the keycard now located in the main foyer of reception (pigeon hole). There is no need to attend the reception desk. You must be punctual as the complex is accessed by a keycard between 8am-5pm, and Sundays 8-3pm.

Other things to note
Coin laundry facilities are available on level 3 and 6. A balcony is available with outdoor setting for those breathtaking views. You can even lull yourself to sleep to the sound of ocean waves by keeping the door ajar.

Our apartment is part of a shared complex, so you may encounter other residents or guests during your stay. For added peace of mind, CCTV cameras are installed and actively monitoring the driveway and car park areas.

Situated in Yeppoon, Driftwood on the Beach is absolute beachfront and features free WiFi, a tropical outdoor swimming pool and direct access to the beach.

The space
This split-level unit has direct beach access, no roads to cross, just a stroll down the lawned garden and you are on the sand at beautiful Farnborough Beach.
2 bedrooms on the lower level with a queen bed in one and 2 single beds in the other. The family bathroom is also on the lower level. Upstairs you will find a fully equipped kitchen, lounge area, laundry and a second toilet. A large covered patio with hinterland views and seating.

The complex features a large inground pool with shaded seating along with a Bali hut with communal barbeque.

Just a short 3 minute drive to the heart of Yeppoon, and all that our lovely town has to offer, where there is something to keep everyone happy and occupied. The Keppel Kracken water park for the little ones, Yeppoon Lagoon with wet edge pool, skate park, bbq areas, lush leafy gardens and a kiddy's playground.
There are boutique shops, eateries, fine dining, cinemas, clubs, pubs and cafe's.

If you fancy something a bit different - pop over to Rosslyn Bay and take a short ferry ride to the Southern Great Barrier Reef and Great Keppel Island.

Driftwood on the Beach is the perfect base for your family holiday or getaway.

Perfectly located in the heart of Yeppoon, it's an easy stroll to the beach, Yeppoon Lagoon, cafes, restaurants, boutiques, shops & pubs from a Studio Cabin at the Blue Dolphin Caravan Park.

You'll enjoy the laid back, friendly vibe of this coastal town, it's fantastic connective pathways that lead to street art, sculptures and the natural beauty in surrounding areas to explore, such as Byfield National Park and Great Keppel Island.

The space
Studio Cabins are positioned at the very rear of the caravan park. Whilst the interior colour theme may vary between cabins, each has is minimalistic in design and decor with good quality beds to ensure a restful sleep.

Cabins are self-contained with a double bed, ensuite, comfy sitting chairs, tv, reverse-cycle air-conditioning, large deck with outdoor setting and mini kitchen (full size fridge/freezer, microwave, electric frypan, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, glassware etc.) An ample car parking space is situated next to your cabin and with pre-approval will fit a boat or trailer.

Linen & bath towels, welcome tea & coffee provided. Cabins are serviced weekly. There is a coin operated laundry and free BBQ under a gazebo with large outdoor table setting for guest to use during their stay.

Fantastic modern and stylish unit lcated direclty opposite Yeppoon main beach & Keppel Kracken. A five minute walk to the lagoon and The Rocks restaurant. Cafes, shops and restaurants all within a short walking distance.
