She laid out all the details for the door lock and the rooms. The rental was very clean and has everything except ta kitchen, (which is stated). If you have a pet with you, the yard is not fully fenced and there are 3 deer who will often be only a few feet out the door. This wasn't an issue for us as our dog is trained. Access to the area is easy and there are amenities within two blocks, 4min walk. The only issue and it was very easily fixed, was using the fireplace and the electric kettle or microwave concurrently. It popped the breaker. Taylor corrected that the next day. The path to the backyard features a gravel trail with a small hill, followed by long gravel and wooden steps. There's a railing for support, but please note that the steps can be a bit tricky, especially in certain weather conditions.

During your stay, you'll have access to the entire walk-in basement suite, and the backyard is all yours to enjoy. You can park in the front driveway, but for those with mobility concerns, it's easiest to enter through the back gate (please note: this gate may be blocked by ice during winter months).

We're currently making some improvements and appreciate your understanding during this process. Please note that the gravel path down the hill can be a bit tricky, and the backyard may get icy in the winter. The bathroom and kitchen don’t have ventilation, so please keep that in mind. The basement is finished but still undergoing some updates following challenges with our previous contractor.

- "I wish I could give VRBO more than 3 stars but I can't. Though we had plenty of space for our group, the space was not as enjoyable as it should have been for what we paid. After we booked and paid, we were informed that the owner lives in the basement with 2 small dogs. As cancellation was not possible at this point, we hoped for the best. This should be disclosed on the advertisement for the property. But instead, it is advertised as "no pets allowed", so we assumed that there were 'no pets'. We would not have proceeded with booking had we known this. The dogs are clearly allowed in the upper parts of the house; they were there often as we came and went. The house smells of pet dander and the carpets upstairs were stained yellow in several places. One evening, we tried to enjoy the common area, but the dogs howled and barked incessantly from behind the basement door while we watched television. This carried on til late in the evening. The house is quaint but needs updating and, more importantly, a deep-cleaning.The hard-wood floor in the kitchen has been removed in a significant walking area, causing a hazard, but this was covered with a tarp-like mat, instead of replaced before they had any more guests. The carpets upstairs need replacing, due to their age and the amount of visible stains, likely from pets. Every towel and facecloth smelled musty, and you could smell it on yourself after washing your face or showering. The kitchen wasn't particularly clean, and evidently the owners use it as well. This deterred us from using it for our own cooking in the evenings. The house also needs dusting badly; in one room we wiped a cm of dust that had collected on top of a picture that was easily seen at eye level as you walked past it. Some of our group did struggle with allergies, likely due to pets and dust. Her breakfasts were, overall, very good. However, she was not prepared with items that come naturally with a gourmet breakfast (i.e. pancake syrup, ketchup for meats and eggs). The food she cooked was very tasty, though, and she provided plenty. The owner is very personable and friendly and we do think the property has potential to be a really great B and B with attention to these details. Overall, this bed and breakfast met our most basic needs of a place to stay, but it was not good value, and was lacking in so many of the areas as noted above. I am disappointed in VRBO and will not use them again."

- "My Wife and I got married at a nearby venue and wanted to have a nice getaway weekend vacation from our home to celebrate the big day. This house was the perfect setting for us. The House is beautiful and located on a very nice landscaped property boasting a lovely sunset view from the back upper patio. It was located just outside of Calgary half way to okotoks so it was easy to run and get groceries or any items we needed. The house was very clean and had all the items you would need to prepare food. We loved that the owner allowed pets so that we could bring our dog with us and there was a dog run properly fenced off to ensure our pup couldnt escape. At night we were even lucky enough to have an owl land on top of a tree right in front of us while we were enjoying the stars. Anna was very responsive and welcomed us by giving us a tour of her home. She was great to deal with and made us feel very welcome. I hope to make this part of our anniversaries in the future. Thank you Anna for sharing you most beautiful home with us!"

As the lake is very small, no gas motorized vehicles/boats are allowed on it. We are happy to offer you our two paddleboards and two kayaks to use during your stay!

The day before you arrive, you will get a code to get into the suite. Please come around the right hand side of the house if you are facing the front of the home to access the basement suite. The door will not lock automatically so please lock it when you leave the property. If you choose to use the hot tub, please follow the directions that you will find in the suite so that we can make sure that the hot tub will stay clean for you for your entire stay.

Life jackets are not mandatory for the lake but we do offer various sizes of life jackets if you wish to use them. Sizes are as follows:

The space
This unit includes the main and upper levels of the house. The lower level is a private apartment which is locked off to this unit.

There is parking for one car in the driveway and free street parking for additional vehicles - this is shared with the neighbours on this street.

Looking to get away and enjoy the great outdoors and perhaps a taste of farm life. This 2 bedroom spacious unit is surrounded by trees and the sound of nature.
You will see deer out your window regularly as well as chickens and ponies to keep you company on your stay. The most easy and comfortable camping experience.
Conveniently located in the heart of Okotoks a short 5 minute walk to downtown for shops and food. Also a 5 minute walk to the Sheep River and paths.

The space
This is a 31ft trailer with 2 large slides. it has two sperate bedroom spaces. This unit is fully outfitted with oven, stove, ac, heat and hot water. The kitchen is also fully outfitted so you can grill it up!
The property is very quiet and secluded, full of trees, and wild life as well as a few farm animals.
