The chalet is part of an exclusive development of 33 detached chalets tucked away in a quiet corner of Oz en Oisans, part of Alpe d'Huez ski resort, at 1350 metres. There is an entrance hall on the first floor with ski and boot rack and plenty of hooks to hang your coats. This leads to a large open plan room with fireplace. Two patio doors lead onto a balcony which we have extended to run around two sides of the chalet and offers a great space to sit, with wonderful uninterrupted mountain views. At the other end of the room is a large dining table seating 10. Round the corner there is a kitchen from which double patio doors provide another access to the extended balcony which has outdoor seating and a table which seats six comfortably and offers more wonderful views. On the ground floor are three bedrooms and from the lounge, steps lead to a fourth mezzanine bedroom, with restricted height at one end. The resort of Oz en Oisans, which is part of L'Alpe D'Huez Grande Domain is particularly suited to families, with most of the village pedestrianized and peaceful. Ideal for families and sports enthusiasts looking for a peaceful, warm and cozy nest with panoramic view on surrounding mountaintops to regroup after a day of outdoor activities. Built with carefully selected ecological materials in one of the most charming villages in France, our chalet is located on the slopes of the Alpe d'Huez ski area (winter) and on the alternative route to the 21 curves of Alpe d'Huez (summer).

Feel free to rent either our cottage in its entirety, the main lodging (LesEcrins1, object of this ad), or the additional appartment (LesEcrins2).

LesEcrins1 is located in the upper part of our chalet, and can accommodate 2 to 3 families. The 1610 square feet are spread over 2 floors, and can lodge up to 12 people (less is better ;-)).

On the lower floor you will find a L-shaped living-room with kitchen, dining and sitting corner with Stuv30-stove, two bedrooms with respectively bunkbeds in the first room, and a 2p bed (4,6ft) in the second room , a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.
On the upper - mezzanine - floor are a separate bedroom with double bed (5,9ft) + a second bed (4,6ft) fixed in the roof, a bathroom with bathtub and toilet, a reading/playing corner and two so called '‘mountain corners’ with two double (5,2ft) beds.

The large balcony is fully oriented to the south, thus guaranteeing you a full day of sunshine in addition to the unique panoramic view on the Oisans valley, and the 430 sq.ft. terrasse behind the chalet is an ideal playing space for children both summer and winter. Our big wooden table adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen guarantees memorable dining moments, followed by even more memorable passionate game moments. Also noteworthy: the Bekaert bedding, the barbecue, fuss-ball, raclette- and fondue appliances, our DVD-and games collection,...

Also included in the rental is the use of our unique professional 400sq.ft. wellness area with SAUNA (6 people), HAMMAM (4p), double Italian shower and relaxation corner. In case the secondary apartment is rented, facilities are shared (alternately afternoons and evenings).

Our vast garage allows you to securely store bikes and ski material. Thanks to the shoe-warmers you'll leave the chalet to go skiing with warm and dry feet. The washing-machine and dryer will especially be appreciated by both cyclistes and parents alf small children.

Parking space for minimum 2 cars can be found in front of the garage.

As mentioned, this lodging can be combined with the (smaller) apartment LesEcrins2 (667 sq.ft). Located on the 1st floor of the chalet, The latter can accommodate 1 to 2 families, i. e. 6 to max 8 people. It's terrasse, with a private 6p HOT-TUB, is also oriented to the south, guaranteeing a maximum of sunshine. Currently under reconstruction, LesEcrins2 will only be available AS OF JANUARY 1ST 2020.

When both appartments are rented jointly, all group activities take place upstairs.

* Skiers: the access to the ski lifts linking our village to the large Alpe d'Huez ski area lays litterally on our doorstep (you just have to cross the street to get going) and the familyfriendly ski school is just around the corner, 490ft from our premisses. We have boot-dryers and ski-racks at the entrance of the chalet.

* Hikers: our village is the reference trail-station of the Oisans valley, we are located at the gates of the Ecrins National Park and our main ski-lift connects us to Alpe d'Huez, so the number of trails to discover is infinite. No need to use your car when you’re staying a tour place.

* Cyclists: we’re based on the alternative ascent of Alpe d'Huez and the Cols de la Croix de Fer, Glandon, Galibier and many other less well-known but all the more memorable climbs are just waiting for you to master them.
In the evening you can safely store your bikes in our large 320sq.ft. garage.

* And if you’re just looking for rest and well-being: the 180° panoramic view on the surrounding mountain peaks combined with your private hot-tub will do ☺.

Think about doing your shopping in the valley before driving up to the village, or have it delivered on site when you arrive. The local grocery store offers a limited range of products and is only open in season.

Our chalet is located in the 'Les Chalets de l'Altiport' development, so you can relax in a quiet mountain setting and put your skis on in front of the chalet.

- "Lovely chalet that easily accommodated our party of 14 adults and children. We had a really great holiday. Right at the top of Alpe d'Huez in a chalet development known as the Altiport (small airstrip nearby too). Chalet is top half of a larger property with another smaller chalet underneath. Sunny position with big sunny balcony – excellent views over the mountains. Easy to ski out but ski in more difficult due to less than normal snow. Excellent ski/boot room at low level, just inside front door. We found a car useful to go up and down hill to town, but there are shuttle buses to a stop about 100m away. We liked Alpe d"Huez. Chalet well kitted out, has fully-equipped kitchen, big dining table and separate living/lounging area. Bedrooms have big comfy beds and decent-enough wardrobe space but could ideally be a bit larger. Decent en-suite shower room in each with lots of hot water. Parking space for at least 2 cars on site and other spaces (free) nearby. Sauna and hot-tub both worked very well, and lovely to sit out in tub at sunset. Philippe our host was there to greet us and was extremely friendly and helpful – he attended to a few minor issues and made sure that a new stair-gate was fitted asap (rampant 1-year old). He speaks good English and was very keen to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves. Slight mess-up on time of occupation but didn't really matter – advise to check this with Philippe."

The place is smaller in person, and although you can technically fit 7 people, I'd suggest 5 people for comfortability. Chalet was clean, owner was extremely helpful and responsive. No complaints at all with the place and hope to come back next year."

Beautiful ski-in/ski-out chalet, located in Oz-en-Oisans ski resort, in the heart of the Alpe d'Huez Grandes Rousses ski area. Located 100m away from the Alpette Gondola which you can reach skiing down the "Chevreuil" run or it's a short 3min walk down the slope. From there, you have access to the entire Alpes d'Huez ski area (Oz, Vaujany, Alpes d'Huez), 250km of runs, one of the largest resorts in the Alps! In 3 lifts, you can be at the top of the Pic Blanc & ski Europe's longest run, La Sarenne. In winter or summer, the resort offers activities for all ages & athletic abilities.

Built in 2009, the property is spread over 4 levels with a total area of 280m² and a land area of 600m² and received the 5-star classification per French hotel standards in 2022. The accommodation:
You enter into the lobby where you can leave your shoes and coats. Here you will find the washing machine / tumble dryer, ski / snowboard heated boot dryer and a ground floor WC.
Through the stone doorway you will find the open plan living room/kitchen (with sofa and TV).
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one on the first floor adjacent to the bathroom and one more under the roof.

Access for travelers:
When you arrive in the village of Huez, after turn 6 you will see a traffic light and bus stop. About 50 meters after the traffic light on the left you have a 30min parking space: you can stop here to unload your luggage. Opposite this space is a large wooden chalet named K2. Maps shows the small street off of the main road as the ‘Chem. du Village de l’Alpe’.

Ski into paradise, courtesy of our wonderful mountain chalet in L'Alpe D'Huez! When you stay in our cozy 125 m2 chalet of wood and stone, you'll have easy access to some of the best - and sunniest - skiing in all of France. In the summer, this is a hub for cyclists as one of the famous routes of the Tour de France is found in the area! Hikes and walks along gorgeous mountain trails are found right outside your door. At the end of a great day, curl up in front of the wood-burning fireplace to plan the next day's adventures.

There are 6 BEDROOMS in our chalet. The master bedroom features a cozy Double bed, and the remaining five bedrooms each contain 2 Single beds.

If you're bringing friends, don't worry about needing to share the mirror, as our chalet comes with 6 BATHROOMS.

While you'll be spending most of your time hitting the slopes, when you are in your LIVING AREA, relax in front of a crackling wood fireplace. Just outside, step onto your private terrace/balcony and then warm up in your Private Sauna!

Of course, we know that skiing works up quite an appetite. That's why our chalet comes with a KITCHEN. It has a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Don't feel like cooking? Then we'd recommend that you opt for our French chef's traditional catered cuisine. For an additional fee, they'll bring you a 3-course meal complete with a delicious wine. Just make sure to inquire ahead of time if you're interested!

We can't say enough about the amazing skiing that you're sure to enjoy while staying in Les Chalets de l’Altiport. Our chalet is only 500m from the centre of the Alpe d'Huez Resort. While you can ski the gentle slopes directly from your front door, more experienced skiers will appreciate the free shuttle that connects directly to the centre of the ski resort. You’ll love having panoramic views of the Alpe d’Huez slopes and the Oisans massif from this area. Enjoy a prime location just 500m from the centre of the Alpe d’Huez resort. Get around easily using the free shuttle bus that runs to the resort centre. Check out the local pubs, many of which have live music. Looking for an adrenaline rush? Try Joëring (skiing with horses) for an additional charge. You'll find an incredible selection of restaurants in the area, including pizzerias and gourmet restaurants. Our favourite? Restaurant de l'Altiport, which has incredible French cuisine and is only 5 minutes away. Or, if you're craving pizza, you need to go to Le Roy Ladre, which is about a 10-minute drive. The space

It is localed in a quiet hamlet, connected to Vaujany ski resort by brand new gondolas (2017). You can then access the whole ski area of Vaujany and Alpe d'Huez (230 km of slopes, et 2300 m drop). Good skiers can go back to the chalet via La Fare ski slope, others can take the gondolas down to L'Enversin.

A 5-minute drive away are all the shops in Vaujany, restaurants, indoor swimming pool, olympic skating ring... Large and modern car park, parking is free in the resort.

Sitted on a 700 square meter plot, in a cul-de-sac, with an unobstructed view on the mountains, the chalet also has a ski room, 2 dedicated parking spots and a wood shed.

Tableware and kitchenware for large groups are provided, as well as raclette gear, fondue gear and multi-crepes cooking device.
