Chalet Oz is a private, self-catered chalet located in the Oz en Oisans resort in the heart of the French Alps. The chalet is completely detached with its own front door. A button lift is located just 50m from the chalet giving a ski in/ski out location. Oz is part of the Grandes Rousses/Alpe d’Huez ski area which is one of the largest resorts in the Alps. The ski area has more than 175km of pistes and plenty of off-piste routes for the more experienced skier. Two Gondolas provide rapid access from Oz to the main resort area with queues a rarity. There are a number of aspects that make Oz the perfect resort for families with children. There are no cars in the main resort area. The skiing in Oz itself is self-contained. A carpet lift and 2 button lifts is ideal for children as they start to learn and develop their skills. Access to the high mountain is not possible without taking one of the gondolas. For smaller children there is a creche, La Petite d’Oz in the resort, which takes children from 6 months up to 6 years.

The chalet was extremely generously equipped in the kitchen, towels, linen etc. Again for party of 10 the chalet had more than enough equipment and it was spacious, at no point did we feel crowded. The chalet was warm, the floors are heated in most areas and there is the option to have a fire although we were too hot for that! Even after 30mm of rain on day one, we had space and heating to dry all our gear ready to go for day 2. Yes... There are some steps from the back of the chalet to the piste but if you're going on an active holiday... Maybe you have to expect a 3 minute walk here and there! Even our 1 year old walked most of them. Oz en oisans served as a good hub, we mainly skiied in Alpe d'huez as it was sunnier there. For our kids the availability of green runs was better there too. From the chalet, walk up the steps, catch the Clos du pre drag and then ski left to Poutran. It's a 10 minute gondola up to the runs in alpe d'huez. As we had a bit of rain at the start of the week, the run down under Poutran was icy so we took the gondola down when we had the kids or took DMC2 up and skiied bartavelle and alpette instead to bypass it. The TV was an issue for some earlier reviewers - this has been sorted. The new TV has facility to use your Netflix account or if you don't have one there are other smart features eg YouTube for the wet days or evenings. We had some rainy days and explored Oz en Oisans a little. They have a climbing room under the office de tourism (no equipment provided but there are big mats), there's a nice pool just below the sherpa supermarket and ice skating in Vaujany or alpe d'huez both accessible with your lift pass. If you do go as a group with young kids, try to catch the alternative sledging Wednesday and Friday as it was a great laugh. Absolute 10/10 experience from host to accommodation to facilities. The chalet is part of an exclusive development of 33 detached chalets tucked away in a quiet corner of Oz en Oisans, part of Alpe d'Huez ski resort, at 1350 metres. There is an entrance hall on the first floor with ski and boot rack and plenty of hooks to hang your coats. This leads to a large open plan room with fireplace. Two patio doors lead onto a balcony which we have extended to run around two sides of the chalet and offers a great space to sit, with wonderful uninterrupted mountain views. At the other end of the room is a large dining table seating 10. Round the corner there is a kitchen from which double patio doors provide another access to the extended balcony which has outdoor seating and a table which seats six comfortably and offers more wonderful views. On the ground floor are three bedrooms and from the lounge, steps lead to a fourth mezzanine bedroom, with restricted height at one end. The resort of Oz en Oisans, which is part of L'Alpe D'Huez Grande Domain is particularly suited to families, with most of the village pedestrianized and peaceful. The chalet is perfect for both winter and summer holidays. Recently renovated luxury and attractively furnished chalet with free, unlimited Wi-Fi, located near the slopes with ski lift giving access to the entire ski resort of Alpe d'Huez 'Les Grandes Rousses'
The chalet, with its spacious balconies (XL) on the south and west lies ideal for the sun until late in the day and has a magnificent view of the Massif de Belledonne and the Eau d'Olle valley.
At night the house is wonderfully quiet and although a few steps away from the slopes. Thanks to the fresh mountain air, our chalet is also wonderfully cool and pleasant in the summer.

The chalet has an area of ​​150m2 (!) and can accommodate 12 people. On the ground floor there is a spacious and very attractive living room with a fireplace and a beautiful 12-person dining table. The satellite TV includes English and international channels.
The spacious kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences (hood, dishwasher, 2 large refrigerators (with enough space for 12 guests), microwave, oven and four ring halogen hob) and large inventory. Delicious catering at a competitive price at home is also possible (booking in advance) through our partner Mont & Merveilles, chalet catering. Heated entrance with closet for skis and boots can be found in the entrance.

The chalet has 6 bedrooms (three on floor -1 and three on floor +1, one with balcony), all with two single beds (80 x 200); five bedrooms with views over the valley and a bedroom with a few towards the slopes. Synthetic duvets and pillows are provided.
There are three bathrooms (two on floor -1 with bathtub and shower and one on floor +1 with shower) with double sinks and three separate toilets. Tiled floors, underfloor heating plus electric radiators on -1 ground floor, laminate flooring and electric radiators on +1. Everything is perfectly insulated and the three boilers guarantee a warm bath or shower; Also for the 12th person!

The chalet is only about 20 meters (flat path!) from the staircase that connects directly to the ski lift. Via another footpath it is also easily possible to walk to the ski lift without using the stairs (100 m).
The ski lift to the chalet (at 1350m altitude) is situated in the ski resort located between 1150m and 3330m altitude ranging from Vaujany, Oz en Oisans and Alpe d'Huez to Villard Reculas and Auris en Oisans. The area boasts more than 250 km slopes, is one of the largest in Europe and has both the longest downhill (16km; The Sarenne) as the greatest height in Europe. For beginners and less experienced skiers, the area is ideal. Due to the high altitude and the large number of snow guns, the area is very snow-sure, despite the high number of sun hours. Alpe d'Huez is also known as "Iles du Soleil." There is almost always from early December until late in the season (late April) are almost skied to the door.

Location
The chalet is one of 30 detached chalets in the Clos de Pre area of Oz en Oisans, it is at an altitude of 1350m and situated between the nursery slope and the forest. A poma lift is literally ouside the chalet front door, this links you to the 2 main gondola's. Two gondolas provide a fast connection to the centre of the Alpe D’Huez or Vaujany ski areas. The ski area is enormous – 82 ski lifts – 250km of pisted runs (also the longest black run in the world – 16km). The resort has awesome off piste potential. The chalet has fantastic views of the Massif de Belledonne and the original village of Oz.

This beautiful chalet is located directly on the easy slope Clos du Pré. You can ski almost to the door until late in the season (end of April).
The short drag lift (200 meters) takes you easily to the gondola lifts Poutran (towards Alpe d'Huez) or the Alpette (towards Vaujany) without having to walk with the skis.

The heated living area is reached via the heated entrance with cupboard for ski boots. The living room has a large leather corner sofa around the wood stove. In the open kitchen, which is fully furnished and equipped with an XXL fridge / freezer, there is also a large, characteristic wooden dining table for 12 people. - "En Piste is a lovelly chalet in a great location, between the Cols du Pre green piste and the end of the Oz nursary slope, and giving the feeling of being 'in the wilds' while being only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Oz. The owner was always quick to reply to even some of the more bazzar questions members of my group came up with. The only negatives are that for people flying rather than driving bed linen is not included, though this can be added for a reasonable fee, and that the paths from the chalet can be ice - but it IS a ski resort, you just seem to constantly remind young children :) Will definitely consider renting again."

- "Nice property, well appointed. As a group of 20 (10 adults, 10 kids), we didn't feel cramped and were all comfortable. The additional storage room was extremely useful. A second fridge and dishwasher would have been helpful for such a large group, but we made it work. Everything else was well supplied. Beds were comfortable, and we very much enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. Very friendly staff. Called to say we could check in early as the property was ready, which was much appreciated. Very helpful, and I have confidence we would have been attended quickly if we had any problems, but we didn't need to find out! For skiing it's a nice area. It is walkable to both gondolas, but with kids and ski boots we often opted to drive, parking was never a problem. High winds closed the lift to Alpe d'Huez the first day, and after some had gone up the other lift also closed (there is a route to ski down, but they would evacuate anyone who needed it), so it is worth considering what your options are. We considered driving round (~1hr), but ultimately never needed to - only the beginners stayed down that first day and they used the local beginner area. The lifts ran the rest of the week."

The Penthouse at Le Bouquetin in Oz-en-Oisans occupies the top two floors in the apex of a contemporary building with direct access to the Poutran ski lift at the foot of the Olmet red run. With wraparound views of the mountains and pretty village of Oz, Le Bouquetin is perfectly positioned to allow guests to make maximum use of the resort and all it has to offer.

The Penthouse has as its crowning feature a vaulted ceiling reaching into the apex of the roof, panelled and beamed in heavy pine. Industrial-style lighting and a stone-surround fireplace lend cosiness to the main living area, which is open plan.

THE SLOPES
The resort of Oz is among the most snow-sure you will find anywhere in Europe, being loftily located at 1,350m in the Massif des Grandes Rousses. It links with the popular stations of Alpe d'Huez and Vaujany as well as some lesser-known ones such as Villard-Reculas and Auris en Oisans.

The whole area is well served with lifts, making it a paradise for alpine and nordic skiers as well as walkers. The pistes are distributed across all levels of ability, from nursery slopes up to black runs (of which there are 15), and there is great off-piste skiing too. The Huez region is home to the longest black run in Europe, the 16 kms of The Sarenne, and also the infamous Tunnel, a rite of passage for more experienced skiers. The Pic Blanc and Glacier are at 3,330m.

Oz itself has two main lifts, Alpette, which takes skiers up towards Vaujany, and Poutran, which heads towards the sunny slopes at Alpe d'Huez. Your choice: look out of the window from The Penthouse and decide which takes your fancy on the day!

- "Great communication from the start and throughout. You can tell immediately the owners enjoy the apartment themselves and consider additional items not normally available in holiday let’s. The standard of bedding, linen and towels is fantastic, in fact where did you get those towels? In terms of location, no apartment is very far from the slops in Oz but this one has the benefit of having a great view of the learner slopes and the mountains beyond with a relatively easy ski in out ability. The chalet Chaleur is very conveniently located at the ski resort Clos du Pré and was completely renovated and renewed in the autumn of 2015 and equipped with unlimited fast WIFI!

The chalet has an area of over 105m2 and can accommodate 10 people. Also, the chalet has two very luxurious bathrooms, one with bath and shower plus double sink and one with shower and sink, two separate toilets, one with sink. The open kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences (hood, dishwasher, washing machine, XL fridge, microwave, oven and 5 burner induction cooker) and very large inventory. There is also a spacious, cozy living room with fireplace, satellite or cable. v. and stereo set incl. CD player. The heated ski storage room (also for the ski boots) can be found in the entrance.

The entire chalet has tiled floors and underfloor heating. Everything is perfectly insulated and the two 300-liter boilers always guarantee a nice warm bath or shower; also for the 10th person!

Many rustic things have been emphasized: the wooden beams that carry the roof are intentionally left in sight. The finish of the ground floor is kept in style with natural stone. The pillars that support the balcony remind us of the way in which farmers built their 'grange' here.

The chalet, with its extra large balconies, is conveniently located in relation to the sun and the slopes and has a magnificent view of the Massif de Belledonne and the Eau d'Olle valley.

- "We stayed during Christmas 2015 in this very recently renovated, refurnished superb chalet. The chalet has all luxury and beautiful rooms, bathrooms and very complete kitchen. We loved to sit together in the living room with open fire place or dining at the wonderful woodentree table. Even with our group of 10 people we had enough space. The balcony is enlarged with tremendous views! This Chalet Chaleur is just below the road with easy acces for all our lugage and very close to the piste Clos du Pré. Chalet Marmotte is the perfect chalet for those looking for a fun, enjoyable home-away-from-home. It aims to offer all the mod-cons and comforts you have at home, with outstanding views of snow-covered slopes and mountains and the ultimate convenience of being situated directly on the ski slope ‘Clos Du Pres’, so that you can ski in and ski out from the front door. It is only a 2 minute ski or 5 minute walk to the village centre where you will find the main lifts over to Alpes D'huez or Vaujany, as well as good restaurants, bars and the usual variety of ski resort shops.

The chalet has been set up with the main purpose of a relaxing holiday in mind, with an open fire in the living area, UK satellite TV, DVD player and a bluetooth connectable sound system. The kitchen and dining area are well equipped for large group catering and the entrance area is large enough to store everyone's ski gear, so that the living areas remain clutter free and getting en piste is quick and easy from the front door. The chalet is the first en-piste as you climb the steps from the daytime car park and, thus, is well situated to load and off load from the car when you arrive and leave. There is a path and steps from the road leading to the front door of the chalet. The entrance to the chalet has a cupboard where coats and other items can be stored. The second part of the hall has a toilet with the washing machine on the left and a staircase on the right where the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 1 toilet are located. Past the toilet and the stairs is the door that gives access to the living room with the fireplace, the dining area with the open kitchen, and the balcony with beautiful views of the mountains and nature. Next to the kitchen is a steep staircase that gives access to the loft where 2 to 4 beds can be placed. For more privacy there are curtains that can be closed.

Chalet Pic Blanc is a beautiful ski-in, ski-out chalet situated in the friendly Oz-en-Oisans resort (altitude of 1350 metres), part of the massive and snow-sure Grand Domaine /Alpe d'Huez ski area. Nestled on the edge of a pine forest, it is one of only a few chalets situated on the piste, providing you with a truly ski-in, ski-out experience. Summers in Oz are just as exciting, with endless adrenaline fuelled sports to choose from, as well as the Tour de France which passes through the valley.

The space
The chalet is built over three levels, and has 8 bedrooms in total, each with 2 single beds which can be arranged according to your groups needs. The ground floor is entirely open plan with a kitchen area, an extensive living area centred around the fire-place, and a large dining area that caters up to 16 people comfortably. The kitchen opens out onto a terrace where you can sit and watch the children as they go up and down the button lift on the Clos du Pre blue run.

The chalet is located in Oz en Oisans, a charming family ski resort that is connected to the Alpe d'Huez ski area (250 km of slopes, from 1350 m to 3300 m altitude).
This is a 98 m2 independent chalet, close to the village (400 m) and a ski lift that allows you to reach the area (Clos des Prés ski lift which is 200 m from the chalet by a path with about twenty steps)

The space
The chalet is composed of an entrance (storage of skis and boots), a large L-shaped room grouping the living room with a fireplace and an equipped kitchen. 1 separate toilet with sink is also available on this level.
On the lower floor are 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room and 1 separate toilet with sink.
Finally, a mezzanine can accommodate 4 people (area not recommended for children due to access by a miller's ladder)
The chalet is quiet, only a road to load/unload passes above. You then have to park the car in the parking lot located 200 m away.

The resort of Oz is located on a hill side, so everything is a bit up and down. Our property is set into the hillside below the center of Oz and, while it is a virtually ski in - ski out position, it is best accessed by a short flight of steps set into the hillside.

The mezzanine bedroom is accessed by stairs from the living area and has restricted headroom, while the other three bedrooms are located on the lower floor, which is downstairs from the living area.

Our Charming ski chalet is situated in the station of Oz en Oisans (take the gondola lift up and you're in Alpe d'Huez) - France and is the perfect place for a fun, convenient and relaxed family ski holidays, or for group of friends. The chalets 'Clos du Pre' next to the Oz station has 33 individual chalets and our chalet is literally on the slope at an altitude of 1350 meters. Our location offers guests a great mix of a tranquil setting in a cosy mountain resort.

The space
The chalet consists of three floors.

The top floor: has three bedrooms with amazing mountain views and one shower room with WC. This floor can hold 6 persons; 6 single beds to be arranged as desired as doubles or singles, 2 persons in each room.

The middle floor: is the common social area with comfortable new seating, TV, Wifi, an open fire place made of stone, open layout kitchen, a dining table seating 12 persons and a WC. The kitchen has all the necessary conveniences like ceramic stove, fan, oven, microwave oven, coffee machine, water kettle, hand mixer and a fridge with a small freezer locker. This is also the entrance level where you store your skis and boots.

The bottom floor: has three bedrooms and holds 6 persons: 6 single beds to be arranged as desired as doubles or singles. There are two bathrooms with two sinks and one bath tub in each. Additionally there is a separate WC.

Beautiful ski-in/ski-out chalet in Oz-en-Oisans ski resort, in the heart of the Alpe d'Huez Grandes Rousses ski area. Located 100m from the Alpette Gondola, you have access to the entire Alpe d'Huez ski area (250km of runs).

The ski resort is investing and in 2025 will replace the Poutran Gondola, add a padel court 100m from our chalet, and will groom a run that passes behind our chalet and end at 85 route de Pre Genty (2 chalets away), so that the chalet is truly ski-in throughout the season.

The space
Built in 2009, the property is spread over 4 levels (280m2). There are 6 bedrooms with 4 queen beds, 1 bunk bed & 5 twin beds. Sauna, hot tub, games room (2nd TV), foosball & ping pong table, fully equipped kitchen & a two-car garage. Catering options available.

On the ground level, you will find the ski room, games room & laundry room.

On the first / main floor, you will find the kitchen, dining room, living room, one bedroom (queen size bed) with an ensuite bathroom & WC, a second WC, and the "spa" area with the sauna & jacuzzi. The sauna & jacuzzi are separated by a door, which can be locked to ensure small children don't enter this space without adult supervision. Access to the outside terrace is just off the dining area.

On the 2nd floor, we have four bedroom, each with an ensuite bathroom, and one WC accessible from the landing. On this floor, 2 bedrooms have queen size beds, one room has 2 single beds, and one room has a bunk bed, a trundle bed, and a single bed (ie 4 single beds in this last room).

On the top floor, there is a large suite with a queen size and one single bed, as well as an ensuite bathroom & WC.

We have just installed satellite internet & have unlimited ultra-high speed internet throughout the chalet!

All bedrooms have a private balcony, with the exception of the bedroom on the main floor (near the living room).

Linens and firewood are provided, and a baby crib and high chair are also available if needed.
