The place is clean, modern and yet cozy and comfortable. Heated floors and AC work perfectly so the house was super warm, we even tried to turn the heat down a bit. Fireplace adds charm to the evenings. We usually cook for ourselves so I really enjoyed all the cooking appliances, the place has absolutely everything you need to cook with, there was nothing missing and the best thing - everything was of a great quality."

Panoramic Village is a pedestrian residential complex built on 1 hectare, attached to the Village of La Grave, 6.2 mi from the Col du Lautaret and 25 mi from Briançon. ## The neighborhood

The house is located in a small residence comprising two accommodations, one for 10 and the other for 4 people, in a hamlet on the outskirts of the Parc des Ecrins, overlooking the valley of Haute Romanche, facing the Massif de la Meije and its famous glaciers for extreme skiing in winter and downhill mountain biking in summer, but not only! You can also hike during the summer, towards the lake of Puy Vachier, Le Refuge Evariste Chancel or just go up to 2400 m or 3200 m with the gondola to enjoy the breathtaking view, breathe the good air of the high altitude , visit the ice cave and eat on the terrace.

The Hameau de Terrasses is ideally located: quiet, sunny, at the gateway to the alpine meadows and enjoying a majestic view.

All the kitchen bits and bobs you need. Communication was excellent with the owner and the local contact. There is a lovely little restaurant behind the property with a great sunny terrace. La Grave is a lovely town down the mountain. Google maps bizarrely suggests it’s a 27 min ‘mostly flat’ walk. I can confirm it most definitely is not! Definitely recommend Orion regardless!"

The chalet has 3 floors: garden level, 1st floor, and 2nd floor.
On the 1st floor, directly accessible from the walking path, the chalet has an entrance with a bench and a large wardrobe, that gives access to a large living room (50m2) including kitchen, dining room, lounge, and an external large terrace, all with an amazing view on La Meije mountain.
The lounge is a perfect place to relax while enjoying the view or liking available appliances (TV, DVD player, video game (Wii, PS3), wifi)
The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to use (oven, microwave, induction, dishwashing, fridge, freezer, kettle, coffee machine, mixer, raclette machine, ...). A large table for 6 Persons is in the dining room, and all cutlery, plates, dishes, pots, pans, ... are available in cupboards
On the 2nd floor, you will find 3 comfortable rooms. One with a Queen (160x200) bed and two with double Simple beds (90x200). You will also find 2 bathrooms with a large shower and bathroom sink. One of the bathrooms is accessible from 2 rooms and can privatize by any of those rooms. The 2nd bathroom is accessible from the landing.
Two independent WCs, with handwash, are available on the first and 2nd floor.
Finally, on the garden floor, also accessible from walking path, you will find a laundry with a washing machine and clotheslines, and a large garage (not heated) used as a dirty entrance (after ski or trail). The garage perfectly safe can be used to store skis, bicycles or any type of equipment.

## The neighborhood

During Winter season you will enjoy La Meije wild ski domain or the family ski domain from Le Chazelet (15 min by car). Free bus service between La Grave and Le Chazelet. Ski Resorts of Serre Chevalier and Les 2 Alpes are 30 minutes away from La Grave by car.
During the summer you will enjoy all the beautiful trails for hiking or mountain Biking, the proximity of the most famous Alpes’ mountain Pass for road bicycles. climbing, paragliding …
The tourist office of La Grave is at your disposal for any additional information on the available activities at the time of your stay.

## Getting around

The village of La Grave is between Grenoble and Briancon cities. Access to the village of La Grave is by car or bus from these 2 cities. Once in the village, you will not be able to park in front of the Chalet, which is only accessible by a pedestrian path 75 meters from the main road. However, you can park on the main road or in the car park above the chalet.

- "Rien à dire" - "We enjoyed a lot our stay in chalet l'ecrin. It is a great base to explore la grave (or if you prefer the neighbouring ski centres of Serre Chevalier, Alps d'Huez and Deux Alps). the house was very well equipped, warm, spacious, cosy and very clean!!!" - "Chalet L’Ecrin is an amazing place to stay. Warm, comfortable and spacious. Super central location in La Grave. Access could be difficult in a big snow year but no problem for us with steps cut in the snow to the front door. We had 3 people but it would have felt spacious/comfortable for the 6 people it could sleep. The host has a local contact who is available at short notice. Be prepared to find the hidden draw that holds cutlery! It was very well appointed with more than enough crockery and excellent cooking facilities. The only down side was the dishwasher being a bit rubbish with sub-optimal cleaning."

The house offered a large balcony facing La Meije and its glaciers with garden furniture of 1 table, 2 armchairs and 4 chairs
The living room has a fireplace with insert (supply of wood on request), a round oak table for 6 person, a library, wardrobe and dresser.
You also find a very good WiFi connection quality, television, DVD player. 4 armchairs, a lounge table, room lamps and a large sofa BZ in 160 x 200 which is suitable for 2 people.

You will find in the three bright and comfortable bedrooms, a great bedding quality (6 beds of 90 x 200) topped with comforters and fluffy pillows.
For your convenience, the linen is provided, the beds are made upon arrival and towels are provided. Each bedroom offers closet and wardrobe; one has a desk.
The bathroom is totally tiled with plenty of storage space. It includes a bath, vanity unit with washbasin, mirrors and halogen spotlights, a radiant and blowing radiator, a towel and hair dryer, 2 fully tiled toilets including one separate.

The house also offered a ski rack and electric shoe dryer for your comfort.

Generally it is me who installs the tenants, except for the late arrivals, a box with keys allows the nocturnal arrivals to settle down with no stress.

## The neighborhood

Many of my tenants tell me that Brèche Pacave is "the place to be in La Grave!".
The location is ideal, right in front of the departure station of La Meije's Glacier cable car, Mountain Guides Office, French Ski School Office, Snowlegend and Band of Boarders which are also ski schools.
In the center of the village, close to all the shops, we put the car at the beginning of the stay and we can do everything on foot!
To find the house: it is located on the main street of the village, just next to the hotel Castillan. the ground floor is occupied by the Scott sports shop.
The parking is just across the road, which is very convenient in Winter as it is difficult to park in the village, especially during this season.
