The house did get a little hot but we went swimming and cooled off. We opened windows at night including the downstairs door - we put our dog kennels in the doorway to keep out any animals. We would close up by 1000 in the morning. The upstairs AC’s were kept on at 70 degrees and the cool air “sank” down into living room. We used the swamp cooler for only 1 week. The rest of the month was comfortable for us. The neighbors were awesome, very friendly. We walked to the public beach several times to swim. We fished several different lakes & had a blast! Some days were busts but we ate everything we caught. We would definitely stay here again! There is a problem with the dryer…it leaves small brown/orange streaks on some parts of your wash. A repairman did come and change out the seal but that didn’t help."

This rustic 1 bedroom unit is located on the second floor of our lodge and is secured with a keypad lock. You room has a full sized walk through closet connecting you to your bathroom. Quiet and secluded, yet still close to the action (one mile from Glacier National Park), this lovely West Glacier chalet is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of northwest Montana. The chalet has a deck with incredible views of the mountains and a BBQ grill. The high vaulted ceilings, granite counter tops, and stainless steel modern appliances make this vacation rental an ideal home-away-from-home, while being connected to Glacier Park via a bike path.

This chalet has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, one bathroom, a full kitchen and open dining area plus a loft. Washer and dryer are located downstairs.

Completely renovated down to the wall studs and complemented with a custom kitchen, a porcelain farmhouse apron sink, new cinnamon stained, French bled maple engineered hardwood floors, a 14 foot floor to vaulted ceiling slate stone wood fireplace and new doors and windows for energy efficiency, our impeccably clean and richly appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom chalet, can comfortably sleep 6 to 8 guests. You will find Stillwater Chalet, nestled amongst old growth cedar and fir trees, high on Big Mountain, above the picturesque town of Whitefish Montana on Whitefish Lake, yet only a 10 or so minute drive to main street Whitefish where you will find a large selection of boutique shops, antique stores, our town bakery, several coffee shops, a couple of ice cream cafes and a large array of restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Our chalet is also only a 2 mile (3.9 km) drive to the village at Whitefish Mountain Resort, where you will find a good selection of restaurants, pubs and a few boutique shops as well.

A further drive out but within 30 minutes or so from the chalet, you’ll find yourself enjoying the wilds, views and trails in Glacier National Park, just beyond the Bob Marshall State wilderness area. A drive south of our chalet will find you exploring the quaint communities of Big Fork, Somers and Lakeside Montana, on the shores of Flathead Lake.

Or if you wish to stay closer to home (Stillwater Chalet), our very own Whitefish Lake has a lot of adventure to be enjoyed especially when you, as a guest of our chalet, can enjoy our resorts very own lake lot on Whitefish Lake. Delight in a picnic on the shores of the lake, soaking in the warm west facing sunshine or watch the kids as they play in the shallow waters along the lakes edge. - "This is a great condo. We were very happy with our stay. In the picture it shows the back living area on the bottom floor to be very inviting and clean. The yellow cushions are actually quite worn, dirty and with mildew spots on them and are stacked in a pile. That would be a quick fix by the property owner, which I suggest doing. The stairs are steep, and would not be suitable for anybody with mobility issues. Otherwise, it was a great stay. Kitchen is well appointed. It was great having a washer and dryer. If you would like access to the swimming pool, or other common area, be sure and get an updated code with the on-site manager during office hours. We neglected that, even though it was described in the welcome email, and ended up not being able to visit on our last night."

Not only are our chalets truly ON the slope, they’re also exquisitely magical. From the first glimpse of them through the trees, to the feeling you'll experience as you're relaxing in your own private hot tub on the deck, Snow Bear will spoil you with luxury, privacy and beauty. You won't find the quality, the high-end finishes, the gorgeous balcony, the winding staircase and viewing turret, nor the beautiful windows that soar with spectacular breathtaking views at any other rental on the mountain.
The thoughtful design begins before you even walk in the front door, with a keypad-locked cabinet for your skis or snowboard conveniently located on the porch. As you enter the chalet, you’ll find the turret stairs and our welcoming entry area to your left, which has a native Ponderosa pine bench to let you put your ski boots on in comfort as well as shelves and cubbies to store all your gear. There’s a full bathroom to your right, for ease when you’re hustling in from the slopes.
As you continue into the chalet, the jaw-droppingly spectacular great room with a cathedral ceiling will unfold in front of you. With a beautiful gas fireplace graced with Montana Moss rock and a native Ponderosa pine mantle, the great room’s cozy ambiance also creates a toasty atmosphere throughout the chalet. And if after a long day of skiing or hiking you just need to relax a bit, you’ll find a large television with Netflix and Amazon. Suspended above the forest floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, you’ll feel like you’re living in the trees every moment of your stay.
Those trees are what will draw you outside, as you slide open the twelve-foot window wall and step out onto your 400 sq. ft. deck wrapping around the back of the chalet, high above the forest floor. With a Polywood table seating six and a quality Weber grill, you can cook and dine alfresco as much as you’d like. And when those aching muscles need a little love, your own private hot tub awaits you, perched high amongst the trees.
Returning inside, you’ll find the gourmet kitchen – a chef’s dream! – to the right. With a gourmet Bosch gas range, a convection oven with microwave, dishwasher, and french door refrigerator/freezer, you’ll have all the conveniences of home. The gorgeous Cambria Quartz countertops add the finishing touch for a jaw-dropping WOW factor. The chalet is stocked with place settings for 12, including Riedel wine glasses, as well as cooking essentials such as oil, salt, pepper, and spices. To help you get going in the morning, we have an easy to use coffee maker with a separate kettle for tea.
The dining island seats seven at mealtime and also functions as an additional prep area or workstation. With high-speed wifi throughout the chalet and plenty of outlets underneath the island countertop, you’ll be able to get things done and keep all your devices charged when you just can’t escape that pesky inbox.
Opposite the island, you’ll find the master bedroom. The comfy king bed, with a memory foam mattress and luxurious down comforter, is cantilevered out into a window area, so you’ll feel like you’re hanging from the treetops. You’ve got to see it to fully appreciate the amazing architecture! The master is divided from the great room by 3 floor-to-ceiling sliding barn doors that allow great flexibility. By day, leave the doors open for an even more open feel and by night, simply close them for privacy. The main level bathroom, complete with washer and dryer, is just around the corner.
The loft above, accessible via the turret staircase and open to the great room below, features a king and two twin beds and is perfect for small families as it has its own full bathroom as well. Every bed in the chalet has high thread count linens, a cozy bed warmer, a toasty down comforter and luxurious hypoallergenic pillows. We provide oversize bath sheet towels in each bathroom and for the hot tub.
From the loft you can take a ship’s ladder to the top of the turret – a favorite place to be. This cozy 8′ round room is perfect for viewing the slopes with its 7′ round Xorbee microfiber cushion. For a really killer experience, turn off the lights and enjoy the 600 fiber optic twinkle lights in the ceiling!
No matter what you’re feeling like, each chalet has something for everyone. In addition to the television in the great room and a Sonos system for music throughout the chalet, we have cards, some popular board games, and a small selection of books.
And when you’re ready to head out, you're located right on the slope at Whitefish Mountain Resort, so feel free to bring your own skis or snowboard during winter or your mountain bike during summer, to enjoy the miles and miles of mountain biking trails. You can also rent whatever equipment you need from one of the shops in the resort’s main village no matter the season. All resort amenities, summer, and winter are within easy walking/skiing distance. Just a few blocks away, you’ll find bars, restaurants, and shopping in the main village at Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort!

Cedar (VRBO #4249603) is our largest chalet and great for groups. Each Snow Bear Chalet is available for rent with a 3-night minimum (7-night minimum for holidays). This cozy and serene chalet is nestled at the base of the Swan Mountains in a beautiful, wooded area with breathtaking lake and mountain views, only 2 minutes on a paved road to major highway. 12 minutes to Bigfork and Flathead Lake, 25 minutes to Glacier Park International Airport, 30-40 minutes to West Glacier and Whitefish.

This 3 bedroom, 3 bath chalet offers an exceptionally comfortable retreat from the busyness of traveling, sightseeing and vacationing. Year-round comfort is provided by radiant floor heat and gas fireplace in the winter and ductless air-conditioning in the upper level during the summer. It is fully stocked throughout with everything you will need to feel at home. Each bedroom has a queen bed with four pillows, plenty of dresser space and full-length mirrors. An extra bonus is a USB port/charging station at each bedside. Patio has ample seating with a smokeless fire pit to gather around in the evenings (unless local fire restrictions are in effect due to dry conditions). Take the staircase and path down to the lake to enjoy a paddle in the canoe or just sit in the Adirondack chairs, take in the scenery and watch for wildlife. For the more adventurous, you can walk along the edge of the lake to the sand/gravel shore where you can take a refreshing swim. A short walk down the paved road takes you to Tamarack Lake, which is more preferable for swimming. Throughout the day, it’s not uncommon to see deer, wild turkeys, ducks and geese. Those who rise earlier in the morning, may catch a glimpse of a bear, moose, elk or mountain lion.

The “Many Lakes” community is a neighborhood in the Creston area southeast of Kalispell and north of Bigfork. There are over 20 lakes and ponds within the area. These lakes were formed by retreating glaciers and water levels depend on snowfall. In years of high snowpack, these lakes can fill to capacity. Whereas during a drought, they may become more like a wetland meadow or reduce in size.

** IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE REQUESTING TO BOOK **

* Due to the unique setting of this property, it has an alternative/complex septic system with multiple moving parts and electrical components (pumps, monitors and alarms). For this reason, we absolutely MUST hold to our 6-person limit. Further, there are some basic requests we ask of our guests to reduce overload and help keep this system running smoothly (spacing showers, laundry use, etc.). Despite these minor considerations, the water/septic functions operate just like any other home and should not cause any inconvenience.

* We absolutely welcome children; however, they must be supervised at all times when outdoors as there are many intriguing yet potentially dangerous areas surrounding the property.

* During autumn and winter months, snowfall can happen at any time, often fast and heavy. We do have someone plow the main driveway as soon as possible, however, guests are responsible for the snow removal of the asphalt directly in front of the garage as well as the patio during their stay. Snow shovels, a battery-operated snow blower and ice melt pellets are provided. An all-wheel drive is typically necessary to access the lower driveway when snow-covered. In extreme weather conditions, if the sloped driveway is mostly ice or slick snow-pack, guests MUST park in the upper driveway adjacent to the county road and walk to the lower level and chalet (takes 30-45 seconds). If you are not comfortable dealing with snow removal and/or walking on unlevel, patchy snow and ice, we do not recommend staying at this property during these times.

The house was a great location to the park and all activities....hiking, rafting, Whitefish, Kalispell, skiing...... and the rental is close to the Kalispell airport.......you couldn't ask for a better spot! The chalet is beautifully decorated, an authentic log cabin, styled in a comfortable western theme, perfect for getting you in the Montana state-of-mind. It is well-appointed with all the necessary comforts you will need for your stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, with every item necessary for preparing meals at home. They even have 3 types of coffeepots - regular drip, Keurig and Nespresso Vertuo!! The outdoor decks are lovely for relaxing, reading a book or enjoying a meal. Yard games are available for group fun - our family loved playing cross-net and corn hole. The fire pit is wonderful for evenings around a bonfire, and the night sky full of stars is breathtaking. The yard is a beautifully wooden spot, secluded for privacy and you will certainly enjoy a visit by a deer or two while you are there. We had excellent communication with the property manager. Our original homestead log chalet conveniently located (only 10 minutes) to the West Entrance of Glacier National park is a great place to call home while exploring Montana & Glacier National Park. Our three level chalet boost an extraordinary & uniquely unobstructed view of the Apgar Range & Huckleberry Lookout tower inside Glacier National Park. Step inside this three-story 2,300 sqft townhome and you will be met with a spacious entryway with handcrafted built-in shelving. Continue down the hall to reveal a full bath and a spacious bunk room-living room combo. This area offers a great option for the kiddos and provides them with their own separate space with four twin beds and a queen-size luxury pull-out sofa sleeper. The one-car garage includes ample ski and board storage as well as an industrial-sized boot dryer. Glacier Getaways kindly requests that all guests keep their ski boots confined to the garage to protect the hardwood flooring.

A trip up the stairs features the main living area. An open-concept layout with a vaulted ceiling includes a fully stocked kitchen and breakfast bar, a cozy living room amassed around a natural stone fireplace, and a dining nook that also serves as an office area if you’re working on the go. Full surround windows make this space feel open and spacious and the front patio offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Guests will also find a half-bath and a laundry room on this level. Exit the rear kitchen patio door to find a private hot tub and grill deck.

The third story of the unit features two neatly adorned king bedrooms that share a full bathroom accessed via the main hall. The top level also features the master suite which includes an en-suite bathroom with a full walk-in shower. Chalet #3 - is a 2 Bedroom, 2.5 Bath Ski-in/Ski-out- chalet with a private deck and hot tub. The Master bedroom features a king bed, private fireplace and its own spa-like bathroom with amenities for your stay.The 2nd bedroom has a California king bed and twin bunk beds with built in chargers and reading lights and its own spa like bathroom. This set up is great for families with kids of all ages. Located right on the slopes for year-around activities!

We could not have asked for a more perfect stay. You can ski in/out from chair 3 very easily. The property manager responded quickly and was very helpful! We were able to take the S.N.O.W. bus from the train station to within a 5 minute walk of the condo. The condo is within a 5 minute walk to the small village. Settle in our cozy peaceful chalet (450 sq ft) and large private outdoor deck located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by mature fir and larch trees. Our Chalet is located on its own 1 acre lot. Please note: There are about 6 steps leading up to main entrance see photos for reference. Although close to town, many of our guests comment they feel "secluded and away from everything" !

Sleep comfortably in our King bed, take advantage of our fully loaded kitchen and relax on the private outdoor deck with grill and propane fire pit. The living room features a full sleeper sofa & twin sleeper sofa with upgraded memory foam mattresses. We have soft water as well as reverse osmosis on kitchen sink faucet.

A separate private laundry room and workspace is available for our guests in the building.

Conveniently located just off Highway 35, we are less than 2 miles from Flathead Lake and just over a mile to downtown Village of Bigfork.

Glacier National Park is a beautiful 45 minute drive away. In the winter, enjoy our local nordic cross country ski trails, snowshoe & snowmobiling! Blacktail Mountain and Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort are an hour away.

Come kick back and relax with us on Elk Ridge! Elk Ridge is located on 10 acres at the top of Martin City. The property gets its name after the 40 head of elk that frequent the property year round. We also have many other wildlife animals that come in to visit. We are a short 8mile drive to West GNP and a 2mile drive to the Hungry Horse Reservoir. We are the perfect weekend getaway or for hosting your special day. We have bear spray for rent and firewood for purchase.

Grinnell is an beautiful modern/rustic style cabin with plenty of natural light. There is a master bedroom on the first floor with a queen bed. The living room, kitchen and restroom are also located on the first floor. The stair case leads to the loft that overlooks the living area. In the loft are two queen beds.

- "Great place to stay near Glacier National Park. Apartment over a garage - private and easy to access. One other rental plus the owners on a large property. Host was wonderful with communicating. The cell service was really not enough to access the internet for us, so be sure to get the access instructions downloaded before you arrive. Columbia Falls is a great little community- a bit more low key than Whitefish, less tourist overrun than Hungry Horse or West Glacier. Highly recommend the Big Sky Waterpark right down the road if you have kids and the Bad Rock Books used book store downtown for readers."
