My husband and I would like to welcome everyone to our relaxing house in the heart of Old Mandeville. You will love it and not want to leave.

Our house is only steps away from Mandeville’s Beautiful Lakefront which is perfect to take a leisurely walk, jog, ride bikes or just sit and enjoy the views and sunsets. There are children’s playgrounds on both ends and a splash pad at the end of the lakefront near our house.

The city boat launch is across the street at the harbor for those who want to bring a boat or book a fishing trip with Wicked Fishing Charters which leaves from the launch. They also offer sunset cruises and kayak rentals.

The Tammany Trace Bike Trail is right down the street. It is originally a corridor for the Illinois Central Railroad and now is Louisiana’s first rail-trail. The bike path runs from Downtown Covington to Slidell.

Old Mandeville offers great restaurants, pubs, gift shops, Saturday outdoor markets, churches and so much more, all within walking and biking distance.

New Orleans' French Quarter, Audubon Zoo, Aquariums of the America, The National WWII Museum, even Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras are less then 45 minutes away!

We have two friendly labradors on the property. They are fenced separately and won't be in direct contact, but they are on site.

Our private fenced in yard has a plunge pool which is approximately 8’ circumstance and 2’ deep. It is for the property owners private use only. We want any parent visitor with young children to understand that this small pool is on the property. Guests can access this private yard by using the emergency exit in the kitchen, so please be aware. This pool is not for guests use.

The location is great - right in downtown Covington and Lee Lane shops and cafes, but a cozy and quiet location that's a very short walk the river at Columbia St. Landing and Bogue Falaya Park. Bedrooms feel comfortable with really nicely done private bathrooms, and it's very quiet at night. Location! Downtown Historic Abita Springs. Everything at your fingertips. Famous Abita Brew Pub restaurant is across the street (home of Abita Beer with great restaurant and music on Friday and Saturday night outside from 6-9) The 30 mile Tammany Trace Trailhead for biking and walking is across the Street at the Abita Park. You are two blocks from Abita Cafe. There is a cute little family owned grocery and Mama D’s pizza in town. The Abita Park across the street has a creek, playground, and Farmer’s Market with music, food trucks, and vendors selling items on Sundays from 10-2.
Very cute and clean chic suite. Queen bed with a combo shower/tub in the bathroom. We provide all linens and towels. We also have a washer and dryer. There is a microwave, small fridge, toaster oven, drip coffee pot and a single serve Keurig. We provide the coffee and cream and sugar.
Also has a nice TCL Roku television and we have great WiFi.
There is cypress slab table with two chairs for eating.

The Claiborne suite in old Mandeville is located one block off of Lake Pontchartrain and two blocks from Girod Street filled with restaurants and shopping. We can offer one or two queen size beds and the room comes with a full bathroom with tub and shower. Off street parking is included. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe and perfect for walks on the lakefront and enjoying the beauty of Old Mandeville.

Two bikes are available for you to explore the area and take on the Tammany Trace Bike Trail, which is right down the street. It is originally a corridor for the Illinois Central Railroad and is now Louisiana's first rail-trail from Downtown Covington to Slidell.

The space
Our CovLA cottage is quaint and well-appointed. Hardwood floors/tile throughout. All furnishings brand new. Luxury bedding with premium linens. Relax on the front porch swing or watch the large screen smart TV for your streaming pleasure located in the living area. Dining Room with six chairs. The "mini kitchen" includes a coffee cart complete with coffee, tea, sugar & creamer. A microwave, full refrigerator/freezer, & toaster oven complete the setup. (No cooktop or dishwasher). Silverware, utensils, dinnerwear glasses, paper products, snacks, and beverages included. Our bathroom has soft towels, a blow dryer, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, along with a variety of sundry items if needed. A washer/dryer complete with detergent is ready if needed.
