This 2 bedroom one bathroom family cabin was hand built by the present owners in the late 1950's. There is a cozy guest house next to the cabin with washer/dryer and another double bed. Over the years the cabin has been improved and restored to provide year round comfort, but still retains its rustic simplicity. It has a unique setting on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with the wooded hills of Oswald West State Park behind. It is a stunning and wild spot, with little sense of other human presence. An American Bald Eagle nests nearby and flies over regularly. Mice and raccoons also visit. A fifteen minute walk takes you to the secluded and often rocky Falcon Cove beach while a ten minute drive provides all the village pleasures of Manzanita and Cannon Beach.
Dogs are welcome with advance notice--there is a fee of $25 per night.

The Cabin has Good Cell Service, especially with Verizon, but NO WIFI. WE DO NOT HAVE A TV. We think The Cabin should be maintained as a rare place to Unplug and our guests and community value that. If you wish to use streaming devices you will have to have a personal WiFi Hot Spot. Manzanita and Cannon Beach have good spots for wifi, the closest being The Manzanita Public Library on Laneda Ave.

'Singing Sands' in Arch Cape, OR, Six Miles South of Cannon Beach

Prepare to have a wonderfully relaxing vacation in this charming, ocean-front home located in Arch Cape, Oregon. Just a few miles south of Cannon Beach, this home is aptly called “Singing Sands.” A few steps from a delightfully unpopulated beach, sleep restfully with the sounds of the ocean. Capehaven is uniquely located at the end of very quiet dead end lane, bordered on the north with undeveloped land with trees and natural vegetation. The beach is an easy 90 second walk along the lane to a short sandy path straight to the beach. During the summer months we have a beach side fire pit with beach chairs that we create early summer.
Arch Cape is special in that you can take a short walk south on the beach to Arch Cape creek which meets the ocean, or you can walk an approximate mile north to amazing Hug Point State Park with it beautiful waterfall and sandstone caves. A five-minute drive takes you into Cannon Beach with its unique shops, art galleries and the famous Haystack Rock. Five miles to the south of Capehaven is Oswald State Park, a popular surfing spot, and few more miles south of the park is the quaint beach town of Manzanita.

This tastefully decorated home has four decks - three are covered (one with a propane barbeque) the two west front decks have an outstanding ocean view. Much detail has been put into decorating and designing 'Ocean Landing' to make it an unforgettable experience. New quartz countertops in Kitchen and bath. Arch Cape has a two mile stretch of secluded beach with lots of tide pools, beachcombing, kite-flying, and bon-fires at sunset. You are close enough to enjoy the fun, restaurants, and shopping in Cannon Beach and still have your own quiet beach. Our coastal house, 'Ocean Landing', has a 20 foot high wall of windows facing the ocean and beach. You can relax in the beautifully appointed , yet cozy second story living room with your family and friends and watch the ocean waves roll in.......or head out the door onto the deck off the living area where you can make dinner on the BBQ and sip a glass of wine or read your favorite book. The living/dining, kitchen, bedroom with video game area and bathroom with skylight are all on the upper level and provide stunning views of the ocean, Castle Rock and forest/mountains. The kids will love grabbing some of the many beach toys, kites, and boogie boards provided and building sandcastles on the beach, collecting shells, exploring tide pools, or renting beach bikes in nearby Cannon Beach. - "Ocean Landing was exactly as described. The size and location was perfect for us to celebrate my 70th birthday. The kitchen was fully stocked. The linens and towels were exceptional quality. The home is easy access for touring the coast both heading north and heading south. The views from the large windows were breathtaking. We sat at the table eating meals and playing games. So much fun. And then to the living room to relax by the gas fireplace. Our most favorite part was our daily walks on Arch Cape beach. By far the best beach of all the ones we visited. We did both morning and evening walks. Our 16 year old grandson ran on the beach 7 miles everyday and now wants to move to Oregon. We would definitely stay there again."

The 180 degree views span to the north including 'Tillamook Head' at Seaside and the Lighthouse off Cannon Beach and stretch south to Mill Creek in Arch Cape.

Enjoy cooking in this remodeled kitchen with all updated appliances and a gas range. This home sits on mainly 1 level with wheelchair access to the front door and the oceanfront deck. The close view of the ocean is spectacular and we have full length windows on the entire west side of the house facing the ocean (living and dining rooms). During high tide you can literally throw a rock from our back yard and hit the ocean and during low tide you can walk for miles on the beach. This home is beautifully laid out and has an atrium in the center of the house, providing lots of natural light and an open feeling. You can tell it is taken care of with a personal touch and is well stocked. Beach access, with a nice maintained path, is only one house down from us too!

The beach is about 2 miles long. Cove Beach to the north and Falcon Cove to the south.

Inside 30 days there is no refund unless I can rent it to someone else, then there is only the $250.00 Fee for 1–3-night stays, $500 Fee for 4 nights or more.
