- "Nice, all good " - "Excellent" - "This is an older hotel in an excellent location. We had paid extra for a "partial view" of Lago Maggiore, but we must have been upgraded since we had a lovely little balcony with a full view of the lake. We really appreciated this because it was kind of cold and windy (end of November) but we were still able to enjoy the view and the sunrise before leaving for the airport to fly home. The breakfast is very nice and we were able to find free parking in one of the large lots down past the railway station, about a 10 minute walk away. As a normal hotel, this property has a full reception, and the staff were helpful in printing our boarding passes and answering our questions. The owners of this hotel should consider replacing/upgrading the showers. We enjoyed walking along the lake front and having coffee at one of the places along there. For dinner, I recommend 900 Novocento Ristorante on Corso Liberazione 28. Their food is excellent, the staff nice, and their historic dining room has a cozy fire (in cooler seasons) in a big old stone fireplace. Highly recommended."

The property is located in a rural area just 5 km from Lake Maggiore and inside it boasts a large fenced park of 5 hectares, distributed between a large garden and a characteristic private forest, where you can enjoy peace and relaxation in contact with nature. Tiziana's design flare to her cottage interiors was something to be admired. Every last detail was accounted for including a modern bathroom and kitchen, lounge and dining room. The Queen bed was superbly comfortable and adorned with beautiful linen. The whole cottage sparkled with 'jewels' from yesteryear - paintings on the walls, ornaments and good quality Italian implements. Even though Tiziana and Salvatore couldn't speak English (and we couldn't speak Italian), we had great conversations about each couples homeland and lives to date. Salvatore told us about the time he went to Australia and was introduced to 'The 3 Sisters' (very high mountains in NSW). Salvatore couldn't see what his Australian friends were on about as nothing compares to the mountains of Arona, Piemonte. We all laughed and agreed that each country offered things to see. On the Saturday night, Tiziana cooked us a delicious dessert which was warmly welcomed. She also recommended a fabulous hair salon (that was also appreciated) and a local restaurant that we could walk to. We throughly recommend travellers wanting to visit Italy stay at LeRonche Antica Casino, authentic Italian Cottage near Lake Maggiore. You won't find better hosts than Tiziana and Salvatore and a better area to visit than the lake district of Piemonte."

Completely renovated apartment in ancient house within a courtyard setting, with vaulted ceilings in the living room / kitchen, nice to be a craftsman of the place, is located in a quiet and above all, only 50 mt. from PARCO ROCCA BORROMEA (Public Park with free entrance. In winter open only on Saturdays and Sundays). Inside the public park you will find a bar / small restaurant, playground, pond and animals. Ideal for a sunset drink and listen to music. From the public park there is a wonderful view of the lake, the town and the Castel of Angera. The lake and the center of Arona just 900 mt. around on foot, as well as all major services (bank, pharmacy, stores, etc..) boats out to 1200 meters. on foot. Statue of St. Charles Borromeo Colossus (San Carlone) about two / three minutes by car (even walking distance). The town of Stresa reached by car in 15/20 minutes and from there a boat to the Islands (Bella, Superiore dei Pescatori and Madre). Milan reached in 45 minutes by car (also trains service / bus). - "Vi hadde en fantastisk tur til Meina. Huset ligger kort veg fra flyplassen Malpensa i Milano. Huset ligger på en høyde med flott utsikt mot Lago Maggiore og Lombardia. Huset er praktisk med 4 soverom og romslige oppholdsrom. Meina har det man trenger på ferieturen. Slaker, bakeri og supermarked. Vi benyttet oss ofte av disse fasilitetene. Irene og Graziano var fantastiske huseiere og la alt til rette for oss og vår ferie. De kunne arrangere golf, taxi og båttur for oss. Kom til og med innom med pasta og diverse pastasauser. Dette var virkelig en opplevelse. Vi kommer tilbake! // We had a wonderful trip to Meina. The house is a short distance from Milan Malpensa Airport. The house is situated on a hill with great view of Lago Maggiore and Lombardy. The house is practical with 4 bedrooms and spacious living room. Meina has what you need on holiday. Butcher, bakery and supermarket. We used these facilities often. Irene and Graziano were wonderful owners and made our vacation perfect. They could arrange golf, taxi and boat trip for us. They bring pasta and various pasta sauces to us:):) . This was truly an experience. We will be back!"

The only slight drawback was the bunk beds which were a little hard and uncomfortable but the futon bed was very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again in the future."
