We start right away by the way we are warmly welcomed by the sympathetic owners. This accommodation is very well situated in the heart of Avis and has two tastefully decorated spaces full of detail and sublety, having a balcony with a fantastic view ideal to enjoy a drink watching the sunset at the end of a summer afternoon or enjoying one of the several fireplaces scattered around the houses on a rainy or cold winter day. The room I stayed in was very spacious, again beautifully decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable and in the bathroom with towels and amenities of very good quality. Breakfast with lots of quality and variety and they had homemade jams and muesli, as well as the fresh squeezed orange juice and homemade lemonade and the scrambled eggs and the pancakes made at the moment. I joined to the other guests at the end of the afternoon for a glass of wine and a board of cheeses and charcuterie accompanied by shared talks on the warmth of the fireplace. Later on at dinner we were presented with a delicious and traditional homemade meal in the old stables that was transformed into a beautiful dining room. A big thank you to João, Maria João, Francisca, to all the attentive staff and even Menta (dog) for welcoming me, for the good moments and making me feel at home, I will certainly come back for a visit.
