Located just east of Oostburg, Wisconsin beach and lake front home is a place to enjoy the seasons of Lake Michigan. You have your own 200 foot 'singing sand' beach. Home is located on a private road among native stands of hemlock and pine trees. The property has historically been known as 'The Clearing'. Lake Michigan in 2022 was at highwater levels which resulted in the sand beach being minimal for much of that season. The beach is back as the picture of December 2024 shows! Should be a great season on the beach at the Clearing!

This Non-Smoking home sleeps six. The dominant windows bring the outside in throughout the house. The cottage is set on a sandy beach (soft & great for sandcastles) and set back in the woods with endless views of shore and lake so we felt as if we had the whole lake to ourselves. We were also close enough to Sheboygan to make a quick trip for things we forgot (and some really good pizza). Cottage was equipped with kid friendly furnishings indoor and out. Thoughtfully laid out and well stocked. Everything seemed new and fresh and very high quality. The screened porches were fantastic at all times of the day and even during a brief rain storm. Manager was easy to reach and check-in and check-out were so simple. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!"

In the Small inviting village of random Lake sits a small historic house. Two bedrooms, beautiful kitchen, tree fort style loft, four seasons kid room, everything you could want. Fish off the pier or use our kayaks to explore the lake. Ride our bicycles around town and then cuddle up in front of the fireplace. The village beach is only a few blocks away, so is the bustling downtown of Random Lake.

It's the only VRBO on the street, so you're surrounded my stable residents who love lake life. You have bikes, kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, a fishing pier, some toys for young kids, and plenty of towels. Pro-tip: The washer/dryer is in the basement, which is only accessible by lifting a pretty heavy door in the floor. The owner is VERY attentive and friendly. The town is a sleepy, two-stop sign town, and what restaurants they have are pretty friendly! Burmesch's corner store is a must. Those men are the kinds of guys that you imagine with small-town charm. The bowling alley is cool too. The swim beach has music every Thursday night during the summer, and that's when you get to see all your friendly neighbors, eat good food, and shop for a few crafts. Great times were had here! It's also quiet, so if you want to sit in the front or by the water and read, you can. (There's no fence in the back, so dog owners need to havre a leash)"

marina, quaint shops, scrumptious restaurants and bars, 4 cozy hometown coffee shops, 2 parks that jut out into the lake and a one-mile breakwater walk out to our very unique pillared lighthouse. For those who love outdoor activities, you won't be disappointed. The Ozaukee Interurban Bike Trail is one block away, Pirate's Hollow Outdoor Water Park is one block, 5 minute walk to two Lake Michigan beaches (the South Beach has a kayak/canoe launch), hiking galore including Sauk Creek Nature Preserve - 5 minute walk, Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve - 8 minutes by car, 379 acre Riveredge Nature Center - 15 minutes by car, and, our personal favorite, Harrington Beach State Park (complete with historic remains of a Lime Quarry Town alongside Lake Michigan and inland quarry lake with waterfalls) is 15 minutes by car.
Many historic cities are within a half hour drive and await your exploration. Cedarburg (15 minutes), Milwaukee (25 minutes) and Sheboygan and Kohler (30 minutes) have a full schedule of events and attractions all year round including Summer Fest, Kohler Design Center, and Kohler Art Center.

Walking is your first best option as you’ll be just 4 blocks from all the action downtown. Uber and Lyft are available as well.

The cottage is located approximately 45 minutes north of Milwaukee and ,10 minutes south of historic Sheboygan/Kohler golf courses. Also 20 to 30 minutes from Elkhart Lake/Road America.

Throughout the living area, there are stunning lake views out each window. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with comfortable queen-size beds. The upstairs dormer provides a nice lounge area with TV and views of the lake.

Nightly bonfires were a hit as well. We noticed the taste of the water that was mentioned as well. I thought it was fine but my kids were picky so we got bottled water as well. There is a water softer in the basement so I’m sure it’s safe. Just a quirk to note. Rick was an excellent host. Easy to communicate with and quick to help with any issues. Overall we loved our stay and would 100% recommend."
