The kitchen had everything I needed to make meals for my family. The living room had two cozy sofas with soft / fluffy blankets. The beds were extremely comfortable. The outdoor seating was a nice touch. There were fresh flowers in the rooms, unicorn sheets for my daughters and a solar system night light. The owner when out of her way to make us feel welcome and was very responsive. The town was a slice of heaven. Great shops and restaurants. Within a 5-minute walk we found a toy store, candy shop, and ice cream place next to each other. We also found a great playground at Cedar Creek Park. We would definitely stay here again."

Accessibility:
This is a ranch home, without staircases, and just one step to the threshold. This is an ideal property also for older guests. There is ample parking space, and a large yard for children to play in.

In the Small inviting village of random Lake sits a small historic house. Two bedrooms, beautiful kitchen, tree fort style loft, four seasons kid room, everything you could want. Fish off the pier or use our kayaks to explore the lake. Ride our bicycles around town and then cuddle up in front of the fireplace. The village beach is only a few blocks away, so is the bustling downtown of Random Lake.

It's the only VRBO on the street, so you're surrounded my stable residents who love lake life. You have bikes, kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, a fishing pier, some toys for young kids, and plenty of towels. Pro-tip: The washer/dryer is in the basement, which is only accessible by lifting a pretty heavy door in the floor. The owner is VERY attentive and friendly. The town is a sleepy, two-stop sign town, and what restaurants they have are pretty friendly! Burmesch's corner store is a must. Those men are the kinds of guys that you imagine with small-town charm. The bowling alley is cool too. The swim beach has music every Thursday night during the summer, and that's when you get to see all your friendly neighbors, eat good food, and shop for a few crafts. Great times were had here! It's also quiet, so if you want to sit in the front or by the water and read, you can. (There's no fence in the back, so dog owners need to havre a leash)"

Please note that we have a No Animals/ Pet policy in agreement with the neighbors on our cozy lane. We charge a cleaning fee and $5 per guest per night with groups over 6.

For those who love outdoor activities, you won't be disappointed. The Ozaukee Interurban Bike Trail is one block away, Pirate's Hollow Outdoor Water Park is one block, 5 minute walk to two Lake Michigan beaches (the South Beach has a kayak/canoe launch), hiking galore including Sauk Creek Nature Preserve - 5 minute walk, Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve - 8 minutes by car, 379 acre Riveredge Nature Center - 15 minutes by car, and, our personal favorite, Harrington Beach State Park (complete with historic remains of a Lime Quarry Town alongside Lake Michigan and inland quarry lake with waterfalls) is 15 minutes by car.
Many historic cities are within a half hour drive and await your exploration. Cedarburg (15 minutes), Milwaukee (25 minutes) and Sheboygan and Kohler (30 minutes) have a full schedule of events and attractions all year round including Summer Fest, Kohler Design Center, and Kohler Art Center.

Walking is your first best option as you’ll be just 4 blocks from all the action downtown. Uber and Lyft are available as well.

The cottage is located approximately 45 minutes north of Milwaukee and ,10 minutes south of historic Sheboygan/Kohler golf courses. Also 20 to 30 minutes from Elkhart Lake/Road America.

What a great end to our summer!" - "We loved our stay at the cottage! It was my husband, myself, 9 yo son, 6 yo daughter, 3yo son and 1 yo daughter that stayed. The upstairs loft was a perfect kids sleeping area for the 3 big kids! Plenty of space and beds. The downstairs bedrooms both had queens that were comfy as well. The cottage is steps from the soft, sandy beach. The water itself gently slopes in to 2-3 feet ish (while we were there) then shallows back up to a sandbar. Perfect for the kids to play in! Nightly bonfires were a hit as well. We noticed the taste of the water that was mentioned as well. I thought it was fine but my kids were picky so we got bottled water as well. There is a water softer in the basement so I’m sure it’s safe. Just a quirk to note. Rick was an excellent host. Easy to communicate with and quick to help with any issues. Overall we loved our stay and would 100% recommend."

The entire lower flat of this two-family home is yours to enjoy. Close to the lakefront and downtown Port Washington. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Winery, brewery, farmer's market, etc. are all nearby.

This spacious, modern home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a bright, open-concept layout perfect for relaxing or gathering as a group. The main bedroom features a king bed, room-darkening shades, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and bidet—plus space to set up a crib if needed.

Two additional queen bedrooms share a full bathroom with Jack-and-Jill sinks and a tub. One queen room doubles as a home office with a sit-to-stand desk, dual monitors, a reading chair, small indoor fireplace, and a foldout queen platform bed with a 6" memory foam mattress. The other queen room has a plush mattress with a foam topper, a small desk, and extra linens and towels stocked in the closet.

In the main living area, an electric fireplace and a large modular sectional provides comfortable seating and can convert to a queen sleeping space. The fully equipped kitchen opens into the dining and living room, making it easy to cook, dine, and unwind together. The drinking water in the kitchen is filtered through a RO system, and the entire house uses a water softener to ensure the best water quality possible. The home is filled with thriving houseplants and natural light throughout.

It is within walking distance (~10 minute walk) to everything Random Lake has to offer, including the lake, restaurants, bars, and a bowling alley. Enjoy access to 2 kayaks, a fire pit, and multiple ways to feed your caffeine addiction. You'll have access to an espresso machine, classic coffee maker, and pour over.

You will not have access to the basement, and a baby gate blocks stair access for safety. Garage use may be arranged in advance.
