Lake Street Retreat is the UPPER unit in an original 1880's two family 'cottage' home. We own the entire property and are lucky enough to spend the majority of our summer in the lower unit. The upstairs received a modern makeover in the Spring of 2021. It is filled with a combination of local antiques and art to give it a "welcome home" feel. It also features skylights in the kitchen, bath and living area which create a unique tree house effect. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything from wine glasses to an ice cream scooper.

The bedrooms host 'heavenly' beds with the finest of linens to include memory foam beds, soft cotton sheets and down comforters not to mention stunning sitting chairs for that moment of peace at the end of the day. The spacious living room has western exposure onto Lake Street to watch all the action. It also has 2 large skylights which boast endless sun at all times of the day. The original 1X8 wood ceiling has been exposed to add to the cottage/chalet effect of the home. Here you will find spacious room for entertaining or sitting quietly and watching a movie on the flat screen. There is also a outside deck off the main bedroom. It makes a perfect spot for a family dinner or curling up with your favorite glass of wine after a long day at the beach.

The house sits equal distance from the lake and the village restaurants, shops and local market. It is less than a two minute walk due east to the village or due west to the beach. We are also adjacent to three popular lakefront resorts, minutes to world renowned golf courses, the Kettle Moraine National Forest, and popular fishing spots. *We are just miles from the Road America Race Track and 15 miles from the Kohler golf courses.

For water lovers, Elkhart Lake is pristine with public beach access for a nominal fee. Rent water sport equipment from the local resorts. All of this within blocks of the Remley villa.

Athletes will love the great hiking trails in the Kettle Morraine forest that surrounds Elkhart Lake. Run or bike the winding hills on our local low traffic roads. We even have a triathlon every June. You can run, walk or bike around the Road America track every Monday and Wednesday evenings or take a stroll around town.

Golfers will love the numerous golf courses in the area. One across from our unit and Whistling Straits just 10 minutes away.
