The HUGE ceilings, the magazine-perfect kitchen, the gorgeous sunroom, and the beautiful bathrooms! The beds were so comfortable, and so many bathrooms (heated floors, yes, please!) to choose from. We enjoyed walking to town for the Farmer's Market and then to dinner. The host was AMAZING!!! She answered our questions timely and provided wonderful information about the house and town. She graciously gave us an early check-in and a late check-out. After every communication with her, I'd tell my friends, "I love this lady!" There was also a delicious welcome basket waiting for us. We even forgot something, and she kindly mailed it to us. I would recommend the Doe House to anyone. What a delightful stay and host! We hope to be back."

On the house, the bedrooms were all very spacious, the covered deck/patio was perfect for "outdoor" meals and being outside when bugs at night may otherwise push you indoors, and everything was super clean and well-maintained. The outdoor amenities were also a great. There's a large lawn in the back for the group to have private outdoor space, and you can launch and park a boat just across the street. I'd absolutely recommend it for a group looking to have a nice house and boating access to the lake."

This home is located in a neighborhood that has a mix of primary residences and rental homes. The home is directly across the street from a church and school. The neighborhood is very easy to walk!

The home was built in the early 1900s, so you will notice some of the upper floors are uneven. These quirks definitely add to the character of the home!

The windows can be tricky to open due to the age of the home; sometimes it takes a little elbow grease!

Sparkling clean and bright, right on Lake Winnebago on a long narrow fenced property. It's on highway 45 but set back from the road, and traffic is fairly light as most drivers take the faster I-41. We used the two main floor bedrooms. The beds are queen size, very comfortable, with firm mattresses and luxurious bedding. Each bedroom has a closet. One bathroom is on main floor. We hosted a dinner party for 12 at the long table. Very comfortable chairs. A great games table. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything imaginable (except a tea pot). Coffee maker has a carafe for brewing 12 cups and also a section for keurig /kpods. Toaster in pantry. Microwave under island. Coffee cups and supplies in drawer beneath coffee counter. Front room /great room sofa and chairs are comfortable. Big painting on the wall is a smart tv. Also, upstairs bedroom has a wall-mounted tv. Back patio has table and six chairs, four cushioned easy chairs, and a circular gas fire table. Barbecue grill is gas, new, located near parking area. Front porch has chairs and bench. Downstairs has two queen bedrooms (each with closets and a window) and two bathrooms, with shower. (No tub.) One bedroom downstairs has a private bathrm. There is a laundry downstairs. Downstairs is colder than upstairs but the bedding is warm. Hostess is amazing! She's highly responsive!"

Boat launch, zoo, playgrounds and gorgeous lakefront are all walking distance.

Guest access
The main house living space including 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, living room and laundry room are exclusively for guest use during your stay. There are two shared spaces with the owner. 1. The large 2nd story deck of the master bedroom. 2. The rec room off the laundry room. Guests may not access the garage and the two bedrooms above the garage/rec room. Those are working home office spaces and the owner will be periodically using.

Visit any time of year. Many fishing tournaments, Ice Fishing, Summer fishing. 15 minutes from EAA. UW-Oshkosh and Fond Du Lac.
