This was the perfect location for us! The house was so charming with all its history, but also luxurious with all the updates! The HUGE ceilings, the magazine-perfect kitchen, the gorgeous sunroom, and the beautiful bathrooms! The beds were so comfortable, and so many bathrooms (heated floors, yes, please!) to choose from. We enjoyed walking to town for the Farmer's Market and then to dinner. The host was AMAZING!!! She answered our questions timely and provided wonderful information about the house and town. She graciously gave us an early check-in and a late check-out. After every communication with her, I'd tell my friends, "I love this lady!" There was also a delicious welcome basket waiting for us. We even forgot something, and she kindly mailed it to us. I would recommend the Doe House to anyone. What a delightful stay and host! We hope to be back."

The home is located just within the city limits of Oshkosh, 4 miles from EAA, 1 mile from boat landings, 16 miles to Fond du Lac and 27 miles to Appleton. This beautiful 4 bedroom home boasts three bedrooms on the main floor and one in the lower level. All Queen size beds, including an additional queen size murphy bed. Great game room and entertainment area in lower level. The outside area is great for entertaining which includes a hot tub. We would love to host your group.

This home is located in a neighborhood that has a mix of primary residences and rental homes. The home is directly across the street from a church and school. The neighborhood is very easy to walk!

The home was built in the early 1900s, so you will notice some of the upper floors are uneven. These quirks definitely add to the character of the home!

The windows can be tricky to open due to the age of the home; sometimes it takes a little elbow grease!

The main house living space including 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, living room and laundry room are exclusively for guest use during your stay. There are two shared spaces with the owner. 1. The large 2nd story deck of the master bedroom. 2. The rec room off the laundry room. Guests may not access the garage and the two bedrooms above the garage/rec room. Those are working home office spaces and the owner will be periodically using.

- "Now this is the way to AirVenture. Fantastic home to stay during the annual mecca to Oshkosh, or at any other time. Close to the action yet a perfect home to return to every evening to relax from long grueling day at Hotkosh!! Hot tip - park at the terminal for Wittman field, Basler services FBO, then catch van that takes you to/from the north gate. No permit needed and we always found parking spots available. Back to the gorgeous home, even if decide to take a day off from airshow, just hangout in comfortable backyard and get your own personal airshow overhead to scratch your itch, while watching the ducks dabble. Overall ambiance is like staying at a lodge (with lighting fast wifi internet) with direct Fox river access in backyard to reach lakes in the area. Owner communicated exceptionally well before, during and after, and ensured home was well prepped for our arrival. She even provided us with delicious home grown veggies in the fridge for our pleasure, as well as invitation to pick fresh berries from rasberry bush in the backyard. Owner went above and beyond. In the winter, enjoy nearby hiking and the 200-mile network of snowmobiling trails in Winnebago County. As the lake freezes over, walk right onto Lake Winnebago to join the crowd for some ice fishing. There are several sleds free for guests to use with several sledding hills around Oshkosh for both the small ones as well as dare devils. Or just enjoy the serene lake views with friends and family from the comfort of the living room while drinking a warm cup of hot chocolate.
In the summer, it is equipped with a 4-person pedal boat and 4 kayaks (2 single kayaks and 2 double kayaks) that are free to use to guests. Launch them right out the backdoor from our private dock. Or sit back on the patio while you grill out with your friends and family. (Note: Watercraft are usually put into storage around Oct/Nov when temperatures drop)
The house is stocked with more board games than you'll have time to play. Everything from family friendly games for the kids to others meant for those competitive at heart.
This cozy 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom home fits 8 people comfortably with 6 beds plus a sofa bed. There are 3 queen sized beds, 3 twin beds, and a sofa bed along with an aero bed and pack ‘n play to make sure everyone sleeps comfortably.
One bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and full-sized sofa bed. Another with 2 queen-sized beds. And the third has a 3-bed bunk bed. There is also a queen-sized aero bed available for even more sleeping space.
For any smaller kids, there's a pack 'n play available along with a booster seat that can be locked into one of the dining room chairs and toys to keep them occupied for the entire weekend.

I am always available by phone, and if you have any issues, I will make sure that they get resolved.

The Cottontail Cottage is a charming upper unit of a duplex within walking distance of Lake Winnebago.

The Cottage is located in the quiet Steven's Park neighborhood, yet convenient to downtown Oshkosh.
There are several great places to eat or have a drink in the neighborhood.

Please note this is an upper unit with several short flights of stairs up to the door.
This is an older home and typical of the neighborhood. There is central heat and air but the thermostat is controlled by the tenants on the lower level. We can however adjust as necessary remotely and will provide portable heater and a portable AC unit as well.

You will have access to the entire unit. There is a garage on the property but it not available for guests .However there is plenty of driveway space adjacent to the stairs up to the unit.
The washer and dryer are downstairs in the basement and are shared with the tenant.

A unique and tranquil getaway! Cana Resort is a beautiful Queen Anne B & B on Historic Washington Av. located in walking distance to Menominee Park (1 block north). It is located on Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin's largest lake. The park includes many amenities such as a FREE zoo, a beautiful walking trail that goes along the lake and much more. Saturdays enjoy the amazing farmers market for a taste of Oshkosh on Main. EAA is another highlight of summers in Oshkosh.

One needs to take a short walk to the house from the enclosed backyard where it is located, to use the bathroom by the side door, or to use the mud-shower with enclosed dressing area, in the basement. There is electricity and wifi should reach, but if not, wifi covers the sunroom which is a shared breakfast space. You could have two single beds or one queen, with little extra space except for a small table and chairs. It's very pleasant outside there, one can see the stars through the plexiglass roof. You are next to a pond and refreshing plants, flowers and trees.
There are no frills and a simple continental breakfast with coffee and a few items to get you going.

Please note. Your outdoor camping area is covered and screened from bugs. It is very delightful in the summer for camping out during EAA time. It has accommodated 2 campers in the past. We'll supply the bedding and towels. This is the option that you are looking at now.

The neighborhood is perfectly quiet at night, and usually during the day, with only very rare exception, you can hear "a pin drop".

We live and work in the home, so we are there if you should need us, and I supply my cell phone number for texting me in case of emergency.

During EAA time, we can accommodate more people in other areas, in a camping style, (front porch, garage). Please ask for more details about this if needed.

Also, during busy EAA time, we may place all the breakfast food in our sunroom.

During EAA only we can offer:
Option: A. Dining room: We can convert our very lovely Victorian dining room into a room with a queen bed or two twins. This rents for $135 per night for one or two people.

Option C. Parlor office: The couch is very comfortable for a single occupancy, alternately you can use the small area on the floor with a foam or mattress, whatever we have available. Shared mud shower use as well. This rents for $100 per night. Please note, it is separated from a small foyer with a velvet drape. The only other access off this foyer is the owner, and the owner's private locked office which would not be used during EAA rental time.

Guest access
You will be provided the combination to the two entryway gate locks just prior to your rental. This will allow you keyless entry into the home as you need.

The long block on Washington Ave. from Bowen Street to the Menominee Park boasts many of the historic homes of the founding builders of the City of Oshkosh. The Queen Anne “LEACH HOUSE” is the one you have selected for your lodging. It was erected a century ago by Elmer Leach, the developer of the compact garbage trucks. His descendants, now resident in the suburbs, are well known benefactors of the area, having recently built and donated the Riverside Leach Concert Amphitheatre Stadium to the City.

The present residents Romy & Chiara have improved the property, adding an English Country Garden—rose and herb beds, 23 fruit trees, a grape arbor, fountain & meditation pond and an ole’ fashioned front porch and swing to relax on.
Your stay includes the use of these outdoor facilities at reasonable hours at your own risk.

One block east of us is Winnebago Park. The lake is Wisconsin’s largest of 10,000; (30 x 10 miles), where sturgeon and walleye abound.

Two blocks west is Oshkosh Central at Main St. , with the Public Library, the Central Fountain Park Square, and a number of bistros and restaurants.

The Nesting Box is cozy get-a-way in a quiet neighborhood but close to so much Oshkosh has to offer. The Fox River, UWO and downtown are just minutes away.

The space
This a quaint older home, but has central heat and air conditioning. There are hardwood floors throughout, along with tile in the kitchen and bathroom.
The kitchen comes with plates, utensils and glasses. There is no garbage disposal or dishwasher, but there are frying pans, pots, coffee maker, microwave, a crock pot, small blender and toaster.
The larger bedroom has a queen bed.
The second bedroom has a twin that pulls out to a full bed. This room works great as an office with a desk and chair.
The utility room includes a full size washer and dryer.
The backyard is tiny but there is a patio set available, currently stored inside the house while snow is on the ground.

Both bedrooms have cozy memory foam California king size beds. One bedroom includes a chaise lounge chair with a large walk in closet. A stand up adjustable mirror is included in the master closet. There is a lot of space for your clothes and and there are dressers in each bedroom. The living room has a soft couch and lounge chair, along with an LG TV equipped with cable, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and more. The laundry room is fully equipped with laundry detergent and bounce dryer sheets. The kitchen has 5 total seats for eating (island with three bar stools, and corner table with 2 bar stools). We have everything you need to make coffee (maker, grinder, grounds, filters, cups). All dishes are included in kitchen (silverware, cutlery, plates, bowls, etc). There is a microwave and toaster oven along with a gas range and oven.

Guests will have access to the entire apartment through either the front or back door. You can also access the basement if you need extra storage.

Basic self care items (shampoo, conditioner, body soaps, etc) are not provided.

The smart TV apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc) are not logged into. You need to provide your own log-in account information to access the TV apps, (besides basic cable television).

The driveway entrance is narrow, so if you have an extra wide vehicle it will probably not fit (park on the street instead). All regular sized cars, vans, and trucks can fit.

This is the lower apartment of a duplex. You may experience subtle noise from time to time in the upper level apartment.

Our home is designed to provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for all our guests. Whether you're here for a quiet retreat, conferences or fun-filled vacations including EAA Air Venture—the world's largest aviation event — USA and Rock USA. The EAA Aviation Museum is just a short 12-minute drive away, and Menominee Park and Zoo is only 6 minutes away. Plus, there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, so you can easily enjoy local dining and nightlife.
