Great cozy lake cottage, recently remodeled, located in lake country about 25 miles west of downtown Milwaukee on Upper Nemahbin Lake, a glacial lake, with great shopping and restaurants closeby, including bar/restaurant Panga right on the lake. There is access to 5 lakes via kayak, canoe, and paddleboard. Pontoon available for enjoyment for additional fees. Kayaks and play mat are available for free. Get your family outside to enjoy the great outdoors, detach from electronics and spend time together boating, swimming, paddleboarding, skiing, tubing, and, of course, fishing.

You do hear the highway noise but it wasn't a big deal for us. We also rented the pontoon boat which was a lot of fun. The first floor hosts the 4th bedroom and bathroom as an En-Suite unit. That area includes a living room, kitchenette, King Bedroom, full bathroom, and small back patio.

Our innovative bedding arrangement allows a unique solution to different traveling groups- and its pretty cool!
Each bedroom if outfitted with 2 TWIN XLs beds, and when combined with our bed bridge is the equivalent to one KING bed.
The rooms are set up for each guest with 2 KING bedrooms, and 2 TWIN XL bedrooms. Each room is stocked with a both sets of sheets, and a bed bridge to allow you to change your bed configuration if you so wish.

Cozy 2 bedroom house right on the lake. Gas fireplace. Washer/dryer. Deck less than ten feet from the lake. Fishing from the pier. Kayaks available. Restaurants/bars within walking distance. Ice fishing and snowmobile trails nearby.

- "Rustic and simple. Perfect location for restaurant & entertainment" - "This was our first trip to Okauchee Lake. The lake itself is beautiful and clear. We came up for fishing as we heard the fishing on this lake is great. This did not disappoint one bit. We spotted probably a few hundred walleye on our fish finder, unfortunately didn't catch any.. If you are coming to this lake for fishing, I would recommend getting up early and going out as this lake gets really busy with recreational boaters starting at 11 AM everyday. By recreational, I mean amateur boaters that do not pay attention to what they are doing and make it impossible to fish the main lake. We were casting for muskie and we had ten pontoons cut in front of us and the shoreline just on a Sunday alone. If we go back, we will wait until fall or spring to do so. The cabin is a nice place, just the right size for me and my wife. The location is great, we walked to Smoke on the Water instead of boating over and it only took about 10 minutes. The public boat landing is only about a 25 minute walk as well. Also the cabin is nicely furnished with a couch, chair, a queen bed, laundry, kitchen has what you need, another bedroom that we didn't utilize. The deck is a nice size. The biggest issue with this cabin is the dock. We came with a 17 ft fishing boat and were told we could tie it up at the dock. After the first day the dock broke. Luckily the neighbor let us use his dock. If the dock gets fixed we would definitely stay again. By fixed, I mean replaced. It is a liability."

I live on premise with my 2 Labrador dogs, Colby and Brie, in the Owner’s Suite, a separate apartment not accessible to guests. The common spaces and amenities are maintained and serviced by service company employees and the owner. The owner does maintain, facilitate and manage the use of lakefront, boats, pool, hot tub, patio furniture, pergola, TVs, gardens, courtyard, walking paths, birding patio, boathouse, detached garage, and any guest requests or needs. (The house workings are complicated;)
As a retired Wisconsin Judge I am able to officiate weddings anywhere in the state. Marriage License needs to be applied for in County of ceremony. My home is in Waukesha County.

We spent so much time relaxing by the pier, lounging in comfy chairs, and taking out the canoes and paddleboat on the lake. The large patio was a favorite spot, where we enjoyed making s’mores around the firepit.The kids had an absolute blast in the game room, which had everything we could have wanted—like a mini Chuck E. Cheese right at the house! There was so much space inside and out, making it ideal for our big family of 16. Nestled in a beautiful neighborhood close to lake area with historic homes and churches with bells ringing and outdoor concerts in the park.
