Custom built 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home on Green Lake. Enjoy the open concept with beautiful lake views. Adorable town is near by with plenty to do.

We are on the Green Lake waterway, but currently are not equipped with boat access. We will be removing/replacing the pier shown in the pictures.

While we expect good fishing and beautiful views, our frontage is weedy and doesn’t make for good swimming. There is a beach in town just a short drive from the house and if you have a boat Norwegian Bay is a popular place to anchor and swim or hangout in shallow water.

Beautiful farmhouse on 80 acres overlooking Big Green Lake. The home was completely remodeled in late 2010 to create a charming retreat. Out your back door, you are treated to 40 acres of private, rolling prairie connected to another 40 acres of woodlands. Hike in the summer or cross country ski in the winter. Two spring-fed streams run through the property and in 2013, a two-acre pond was added. The deer, turkey and fox love them!

- "The house is located at a wonderful spot right on Green Lake. Walk out the back door and right down to the pier on the dock for fun fishing for the kids. Two large family rooms with TVs that allow some separation from each other if desired. The kitchen is very small, but we don't go to the lake to spend a lot of time cooking in the kitchen, so that was not a huge issue for us. The beds are comfortable and the entire house was very clean. We would definitely look into renting this house for a future trip to Green Lake."

This newly available charming lakefront home and renovated guest cottage is conveniently located just minutes away from the Tuscumbia golf course and downtown Green Lake, which offers 18 holes as well as a par 3 9-hole course in the summer, and snowshoeing in the winter.

The main house features over 100’ of private lakefront, a custom stone fireplace and built-in charcoal barbecue grill. The screened porch, with its two large garage style glass doors, offers the perfect spot for enjoying the beautiful views of Green Lake during summer and fall months.

All three bedrooms in the main house include queen beds, with one of the bedrooms also housing a twin xl bed. There are two full baths in the main house – one with a farmhouse classic clawfoot cast iron tub and one with a shower. Additionally, two of the bedrooms include a privacy sink in the room for guests. On the main floor, the family room includes a stone hearth fireplace, smart TV and a bevy of classic and new board games. The kitchen is well appointed with serving dishes, flatware, pots and pans, and small appliances. The main house includes usage of the washer and dryer.

The recently renovated guest cottage includes three bedrooms and a full bath with shower, a kitchen – with stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer, a Green Egg for grilling, and a screened porch with views of the property’s English garden as well as Green Lake. The guest cottage is also fully air-conditioned.

The 100’+ of waterfront property includes a private pier with a swimming ladder during the summer months, beautiful views of the changing leaves in the fall, and easy access to the lake in the winter for ice fishing or iceboating. The large lawn space is the perfect place to play a game of cornhole or throw the frisbee, or build a snow fort and snowman during the winter.

During the summer the main house has air conditioning on the second floor for the bedrooms and vents that provide air conditioning to the family room and dining room. The kitchen does not have air conditioning. There are fans in all of the bedrooms as well as the kitchen that provide a nice summer breeze from the lake.

GREEN LAKE
Downtown Green Lake is just 1.5 miles from the property, which makes for a lovely walk, or you can take the property’s tandem bicycle! Enjoy the Farmer’s Market on Friday afternoons, yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or some craft beers and local wines at the Town Square Tap. You’ll find several adorable boutiques in downtown Green Lake as well as the Thrasher Opera House, which hosts theatre and artist performances throughout the year. If you enjoy golfing, Tuscumbia Golf Course is just steps away from the property, and Lawsonia Golf Course (ranked #66 in the U.S. by Golf Week) is also conveniently located in Green Lake.

FALL IN GREEN LAKE

WINTER IN GREEN LAKE
In the winter, Green Lake is a popular location for ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding. In fact, there are over 150 miles of maintained scenic trails for snowmobiling - from woods, meadows, marsh, & fields! You can also find miles of cross country ski and snowshoe trails at the Green Lake Conference Center and the Heidl House. Nordic Mountain is just 45 minutes from the property and Granite Peak Ski Area is under two hours. If you would like to ice skate, Green Lake is the place for you! The marina is transformed into an ice skating area during the winter! There is even a warming hut and skates you can borrow if you would like.

DINING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
You’ll find a wide variety of dining options available during your stay. Green Lake’s beloved waterfront restaurant Norton’s, newly opened Mexican-themed Murphy’s, Walk the Dog - a hot dog themed to go spot, Goose Blind, Reilly’s Pub, and student entrepreneur launched Bucket Wings are just a few of the options to choose from. There are several marinas in Green Lake that offer watercraft rentals, or you and your guests can charter a boat for a sunset cruise. Nearby, Princeton is home to several antique shops, an eclectic coffee shop, a European style bakery, and Horseradish, a delicious modern dining spot. The town of Ripon is also a short drive away and houses the Little White Schoolhouse – a National Historic Landmark, several boutiques, a movie theatre and a local favorite brewery.

The house was built by my husband's parents in 1999. It was lived in and loved for many years before we purchased it and started making it our own in 2015. We've put our heart and soul (not to mention blood, sweat, and tears) into interior updates plus added many trees and a pond to the landscape.

A beautiful home right alongside the historic Tuscumbia Golf Course. There are 7 x bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a large open space perfect for hosting large gatherings. In addition to a well-appointed kitchen, the home includes a separate kitchenette used as a coffee bar and wet bar area. One afternoon was rainy, the kids were able to play downstairs, ping-pong and the games. The washer and dryer allowed us to dry our towels and swim suits plus wash kids clothes. The house is clean, modern and roomy. It’s definitely a place to come back to." - "We brought our teenage children and their three friends to Green lake at the end of July. This home is comfortable, gracious, and perfect for a group at the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed, The screened-in porch is incredible, and the extra games and ping-pong table in the basement were fun. Our only problem was that the boat dock was not available the week we rented. But Action Marina graciously let us dock our rented boat at their pier, which was a short two minute drive away. We will definitely try to return to this property, and hope the boat dock will be available next time."

- "The lake was a beautiful retreat, our family spent most of our time on the porch outside and dining alfresco on the terrace. We caught a few beautiful sunsets and swam in the lake. This is an older house (1850s) so expect some quirks and semi-dated decor. Nonetheless, we made the most of it celebrating our grandfather's 94th birthday. I will mention, the home is not completely level, lots of steps and uneven floors as you go room to room and big steps (without handles) down into the screened porch so keep this in mind if you have anyone with a disability, they may have a hard time navigating."

Large sliding doors take you out of the home down to the charming stone patio overlooking the 50 feet of waterfront. NOTE: the property is located in a small bay on the southeast shore of Green Lake and is known to be extremely shallow at times depending on the weather. While pontoon boats are ok, boats with large drafts are not recommended. Swimming further out away from the pier in the bay opening is best though many renters float on personal rafts dockside.

- "We got there early so we walked around the lake house to see the outside as well as look at the dock. There was a lot of over growth and the area in front needed to be cleaned up more. The house is quite outdated but had a lot of character. The main issues were that the house was not cleaned properly and there were dean bugs all over the house. My son was going to sleep on the sofa bed and when he unfolded it, there were bugs inside. We could not see what they were or if they were alive or dead. The carpet on all of the rooms on the first floor were very dirty. There was a big black spot on the carpet in front of the bed in the min bedroom. If coming with a big family don’t bring much food since the fridge and stove are small but doable.the house had a very bad musty smell like mold that you could smell in all of the rooms. I love using Vacasa but will never rent this property again. This will be a big issue for anyone staying there irlf it doesn’t get fixed. Very out dated the house needs a good cleaning and revamping. You can also low quality repairs done to the property. Windows were damaged also. I work for a travel wholesaler and would not ever recommend this property."

Stay in a well maintained 4 bedroom, 3 bath house outside of Ripon. Be close to great restaurants in Ripon without the crowds of EAA. Just a short time to EAA with less traffic! We are willing to add air mattresses to accommodate more guests if needed.
