- "This was our first trip to Northumberland and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable, the decor was calming and suited the room. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We ate twice in the restaurant during our three nights at the Black Bull. The food was fantastic. Good sized portions, well cooked with great flavour. The Game Goujons were very tasty as were the burgers we had in the first night. The next time we ate there we had the stone bass and the pie of the week. All was yummy, and the drinks were great too. Breakfast was included and the choice was lovely. The black bull breakfast was a winner all around. The Black Bull was a great base to explore the local area, with easy access to Holy Island and other historical sites. We would recommend a stay here and will be back. "
