This is truly paradise- private setting on 32 acres which has acres of pasture / meadow, two barns and the owner's home. Also upstream adjacent to this log home is our cottage (VRBO#1346650). If your group needs more room for additional family or guests, you can book the cottage as well. If you book both properties at same time for five nights or more, your sixth or last night beyond the five nights is free if it falls on Monday through Thursday and there is no one booked to check in the property on the same day of your check out. Beautiful log home sits less then 50' from north fork of Lake Creed. Relax on the open rear or covered end decks while listening and watching the stream go by. Situated in the cool shade of trees, enjoy views of pastures with horses, Black Butte mountain and meadows. Irrigated lawn areas surrounds the cabin. Inside the home has a full kitchen, living room with rock fireplace, dining room, bedroom with full size bed and full bath as well as laundry on first level. Another room with queen bed and bath upstairs as well as an adjacent loft area with a queen size sofa bed which share the upstairs area. Occupancy nightly rate is based on a four person occupancy. There is an additional guest fee for up to six people. Additional guest fee will apply for each additional guest up to six maximum being four adults two children which can use the pull out sofa bed queen size. FOR LARGER GROUPS, a neighboring 2 bedroom cottage just upstream from this cabin will also be available to rent which sleeps up to six and will also be listed with VRBO available May 2018. This is a private setting with a variety of wildlife on the property which is adjacent to the Metolius wilderness and national forest. The Metolius river is about a mile away offering world class fly fishing, Suttle Lake about 15 m. Five other rivers including the Deschutes, McKenzie, Santiam, Brientenbush and Crooked Rivers are all less then an hour away. Hoodoo ski and bike resort is less then 1/2 hour away, Mt. Bachelor 1-1/2 hr. Black Butte ranch for golf and horse back riding is 10 minutes drive. The town of Sisters is about 15 minutes away with outstanding restaurants, shopping and a variety of events through out the year.
There are outstanding restaurants including Black Butte and two here in Camp Sherman, a Mexican food restaurant "Hola" and Lake Creek Lodge less the three minute drive or walk if you choose. There is a private entry gate to the property which has two additional homes with the owner's on site to take care of any questions or assistance you may need to help you stay be enjoyable. This home "the cottage" is a private setting along the banks of the north fork Lake Creek and shares two barns and owner's home upstream. The property consists of 32 acres mostly pasture / meadow as well as a beautiful authentic log home downstream. This log house is adjacent (150' away) to this cottage and is also available to rent (VRBO#1093767). So if your group needs more room for additional family or guests, you can book the cabin as well. This home (the cottage) has recently been completely refurbished with new everything and has a full on view of Black Butte mountain from the master bedroom and living room across acres of pasture/meadow. The creek runs next to the rear and side of the home and can be seen from the kitchen and rear bedroom where you can open the windows and listen as it flows by. Beyond the creek is 16 acres of open private meadow and national forest. The kitchen is completely new, but if you want to eat out its easy. Dining at Lake Creek Lodge and Hola Mexican food restaurant are two minutes or less away, additional dining, golf, horseback riding at Black Butte ranch 10 minute drive. Additionally, bike trails, hiking, rafting, boating, shopping etc. are all nearby. The famous Metolius river is about one mile away for known for its' fly fishing savy rainbows and huge bull trout up to 30 pounds. The Camp Sherman store (seasonal hours) is also located here for some food items and incidentals. If you've never seen this river, its a must for hiking, fishing, photography etc. Suttle lake is a recreation area just 15 minutes drive for boating, swimming, fishing, hiking etc.. Hoodoo ski and bike resort is about 20 minutes away. Rafting and other activities on the McKenzie and Santiam rivers, boating etc. on Clear Lake as well as volcanic parks etc. are all in striking distance from the cottage. All these activities available nearby yet you are surrounded by 32 acres of private estate and national forest areas.
This home has a master bedroom and bath with queen bed, rear bedroom with brass full bed and if needed the sofa in living room is a pullout full queen bed also. The nightly rate is based on four person occupancy. There is an additional guest fee for each additional guest, total of six (two added guest) is the maximum. The cottage has recently been completely renovated through out so everything is new including flooring, doors, trim, kitchen and bath cabinets, quartz kitchen and cultured marble bath counters, all new appliances and fixtures etc.. This spacious cabin has provides plenty of room to spread out and has more modern accommodations than you would expect from a rustic cabin retreat. The upstairs bedroom loft has a queen bed and a twin trundle bed (two twin beds) that are perfect for kids or a larger family. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and offers more privacy. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Our cabin is fully equipped with satellite TV, DVD, CD and VCR as well as everything you might need in the kitchen for a romantic dinner or a family holiday meal. Let the knotty pine throughout the interior envelope you in its natural elegance and warmth.

We are minutes away from a bounty of activities in every season including some of the most beautiful skiing and sledding areas around. It was in the 90s while we were there but the cabin stayed cool despite there being no a/c. We stayed two nights it was a quick but great getaway. It's a wonderful porch and spacious cabin for 2. The kitchen is the best outfitted kitchen I have ever been in for a VRBO property. Everything was organized and easy to find. Beds comfy. Birds were active and entertaining to watch in the morning on that porch (again!) while having morning coffee. Love this spot. Love the cabins here."

The comfort is unmatched. Cabin 11, at 1270 sq. ft is the largest of the cabins, and set apart from the others for added privacy and quiet. It offers a truly spacious kitchen, dining and living area, all with breathtaking views of the Metolius River and forest. Gourmet meals will be a pleasure to prepare in the remodeled and fully appointed kitchen which includes granite countertops and upgraded appliances from Bosch and Jenn-Air.

The extra-large upstairs bedroom is luxurious, and features a brand new, top-of-the-line, Beautyrest hybrid coil/memory foam King bed for a perfect night’s sleep. The cozy downstairs bedroom is equally comfortable, with a Sleep Number model I-8 Queen bed that features a memory foam pillowtop, and fully adjustable left and right side firmness controls. Both beds are designed to soothe aching muscles and provide restful sleep.
