- "Loved this place. We are coning back and bringing our grandkids. So much to do. Golf, swimming, hiking, town is 10 minites away and has everythig. The cabin we stayed in was quiet and comfortable. The beds were good and we lived on the porch. It had a Great view of the mountain and sunrise. Quail, rabbits and deer are everywhere. I didnt get pictures of the rental but I did get pictures of the sourrounding area. " - "We liked the layout of the deluxe cabin room. Each of the rooms have a view of the canyon that is absolutely beautiful. Communication with management is quick and efficient. We have no complaints about this place. A suggestion may be to send an email or share a diagram or walkable map to potential guests after they confirm a reservation. It's such a beautiful and big place "

Plan your vacation getaway and escape the destination resorts at our quiet & peaceful 4 BR, 3 Bath, lodge home retreat on 9 private acres north of Bend, "in the country but not far away". Beautiful 9 Cascade Mt view overlooking a corner of the legendary Deschutes R.; enjoy area Skiing, Golfing, Fishing, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Biking, Micro Breweries, & more.
THE SPACE:
We designed the outside of our lodge home retreat with Breckenridge batten board siding, rough-sawn beams, porches, and 3 decks to "live outside", and move around with the sun and temperatures. Enjoy meals and barbecues together while taking in the amazing views of 9 Cascade Mt, overlooking lush green alfalfa fields, and a bend of the legendary Deschutes River.
Enjoy 2,000 sq ft of living area, 4 Bedrooms, 3 full Baths, Gourmet Kitchen, Dining Rm, & Great Room, and Laundry Rm. The Master BR has a wonderful king bed, it's own private full bathroom, & smart TV; the other 3 BRs have comfortable Queen beds. The 3 full bathrooms have showers with Travertine tile floors and walls, knotty alder cabinets, and granite tops, and the Main Baths has a tub w/ glass surround. The 3rd full bathroom is in the hall between BR 3 & 4 and it also has convenient access to the hot tub.
The Great Room is where everyone hangs out together cooking, playing games, watching movies, and relaxing together. It has vaulted ceilings, beautiful Knotty Western Birch floors, and a wood stove for that winter ambiance. Spread out together on the 3 sofas and chair to watch the game or movies on the 50" HDTV Smart App TV which has also has Dish and Wi-Fi for streaming; there are also DVD's in the cabinet.
The Gourmet Kitchen and Dining Rm have Knotty Alder cabinets and a Buffet, all with Granite counter tops. The Island Bar seats 6, the DR table seats 10; all of the furniture is imported Indian Rosewood. The Gourmet Kitchen is fully equipped, 6 burner gas cooktop with hood & warming lights, spices, and basic condiments. We have our own 450 ft. well with the best tasting water in Oregon, and with no chemicals.
Outside you have 3 decks with 1500 sq ft to enjoy all your outdoor activities; out on the front deck is where the magic is, a full 180 degree amazing view of 9 Cascade Mts. In the evenings sit around the gas fire pit in the four cushion rockers with a glass of wine and review the day's adventures and make plans for tomorrow. For outside meals on the front deck there's a table for 6, and 4 around the firepit; on the north deck there's 2 more tables that seat 12 in the shade. After dinner soak those aching muscles from all of the day's activities in the Hot Tub while taking in the amazing views.
When it's hot there's always a nice breeze on the north deck; it's a great place to sit in the afternoon shade, play cards, or take a siesta in the lounge chairs. Also, there's a play structure for the kids; and farther out on the lawn there are two hammocks in the shade of the Juniper trees for some serious R & R. The Horseshoe pit and Boule court are out on the north side, too.
When it's a little chilly in the morning, the back deck catches the morning sun and is a wonderful place to have your coffee, sit and read, or gather for some early morning conversation.
We recently added a 40' rock water feature stream that cascades down the hill from the Gazebo and falls into the pond, it's a great area to take some wine and cheese and enjoy a picnic or morning coffee while gazing at the view and listening to the water rush over the rocks.
Also up on the south side lawn by the Gazebo is the Bocce court where those who are more competitive can take on some challenges. If Bocce' isn't your game maybe you can get some revenge at the horseshoe pit.
Some of our family favorite memories have been sitting outside around the fire pit, after the sun sets the sky gets amazingly dark with no light pollution, all of the stars and planets come out and you can watch for meteors and satellites. Everyone who has stayed at the home are always amazed by the views and the quiet and peaceful surroundings, it's "in the country but not far away", only 10 min. away from restaurants and stores if you need anything.

GUEST ACCESS:
You have complete access to everything described above in "The Space".
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
We use our apartment on the right end of the home as sort of our "base camp"; when we have guests is when we usually do our traveling in our motorhome, visit our our kids and grandkids, or visit friends. If we happen to be there for a couple days in between trips we are out of sight/out of mind, and are always respectful of your privacy, you'll probably never see or hear us, unless you need something. Guests always say that they didn't even know we were there. The construction is designed for both areas to be insulated and quiet; we want you to have fun, watch movies, play music, games, and have a great time with your family and friends.
In the winter we suggest having an AWD all wheel drive vehicle with traction tires, or to have tire chains, which will make it easier for you to get around the area when there is snow.

Some guests want to come and relax and just hang out; and others want to get out and explore the area and get involved in all of the outdoor activities that Central OR has to offer. This cozy 3 bedroom house was an old dairy house, it's perfect for a little get away. Located in Central Oregon we are minutes from hiking or climbing Smith Rock! Summer adventurers we're close to rivers for fishing, rafting or floating. Winter-timers, skiing awaits all around Mt. HooDoo & Mt. Bachelor are within an hour! There are antique shops all around and as well as a couple wineries for a leisurely pace. The views are wonderful and sunsets are pretty spectacular. We are a working hay and cattle ranch, so if you hear any mooing from the ladies in the pasture don't be alarmed!
- "Heather is an amazing host! She was in constant communication with us and ensured all of our needs/questions were met. Property and surrounding area were very well maintained and had everything we needed to make it an amazing vacation. Quite, peaceful, well stocked, clean, and well organized property. Terrebonne is an absolutely gorgeous area to visit, very friendly culture. We will definitely be back!" - "This dairy farm style home did not disappoint. It was close to everything we want to be close to. The view of Smith Rocks and the sunrise from the back patio was amazing, the view of the Three Sisters and the sunset was equally amazing. The cows were so enjoyable to see and relaxing. The only issues we had with this property was the cooling. It was very warm during our stay, only the front room had an air conditioner and could not keep up the cooling. We opened the doors in the evening for the breeze, used fans and purchased additional fans to get the cool air to the back rooms, not very successful, was very warm and difficult to sleep. Probably need a small AC unit in each bedroom, just a suggestion. This does not take away from the enjoyable stay and would stay here in the future."

- "You can't beat the location, your own slice of Smith Rock. Views outside were beautiful, the platform was a great to have coffee and watch the sun come up over the rocks. The inside was sleek but cozy. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with things happy to find like olive oil, a real pepper grinder and reusable storage containers. The place could use a a step stool for us shorter folks. The place is so nice you almost don't need to leave the property."

Nestled in the embrace of nature's tranquility, Reds End stands as a testament to solitude and serenity. The little cabin is more than just four walls; it's a sanctuary where the echoes of rustling juniper branches and the gentle coo of a nearby owl compose a symphony of peace.
At the cabin, time slows down, allowing you to savor the simplicity of life. Reds End isn't just a remote cabin; it's a refuge, a place where the world fades, and the soul finds its rhythm amidst the symphony of nature.
Reds End is completely Off Grid, it runs solely on 12 volt power supplied by the sun. There are several led lights and several USB and USB-C charging ports as well as other 12 volt accessory ports for all your off-grid gadgets.
Reds End is minutes from Redmond, Terrebonne and Smith Rock. There is a strong 5G cell phone service if you decide to not entirely disconnect. During spring, summer and early fall months there is a full bathroom with hot & cold running water. During the winter months a port a potty is available.
- "This was such an awesome place to stay! Perfect if you like camping, but want basic shelter also. The place was perfectly sized for two, thoughtfully equipped, and the bathroom was such a nice thing to have!! It was a great place to just do nothing, lay in the say, games on the deck, hike the canyon, or just nap in hammock. Easy drive from Portland, but far enough to feel 'away'. The location is near a railroad tracks and a highway, but neither of those things deterred our stay. We still felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Great and speedy communication from the hosts. Highly recommended, and will be returning for future visits. "
