Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. A two story home built in the 30s, was the mill managers home with a big kitchen. Enjoy the front porch or take a nice walk down to the Willamette river (You. need to drive to the other end of the property to do this but just ask and we will give you directions.) This property is centrally located on hwy 58 east end of Oakridge abutting forest service land and on the way to many trails rivers, lakes, waterfalls and the mountain. about 30 min from Willamette pass The closest rental to the mountain. there are steep steps to the 2nd floor.

Nothing was ever crowded, even on the weekend! The beds/couch were not very comfortable but we were tired enough to sleep :). It has a washer/dryer but not a dishwasher. I saw other reviews say there wasn't a microwave but there is one in their garage you can bring in that works great. The garage is a plus for storing mountain bikes, SUPS, etc.. Overall a nice place to stay and accurate in their listing. Paige was a great communicater as well - answered our questions quickly."

The property is within walking distance of 3 Legged Crane Brewery (the pub), Morning Light Coffee, the Corner Bar and Grill, the post office, and the library.

The space is about 600 sq feet. It's the west side unit in a duplex. It has great natural lighting with beautiful mountain views. You'll enter through the kitchen, which includes a full washer and dryer, proceed into the living room, and have two bedrooms to the left each featuring a queen size bed.

Your unit is tucked away with a private backyard and hot tub which make it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of hiking, biking, or skiing.

Guests have access to the entire back rental unit, private back yard/porch and hot tub. Parking above unit with private stair access is available as well as a shared driveway with door to door access. A locked shed is available for bike storage upon request.

The bathroom is quite small and does not a have a bath, but guests love the water pressure in the standing shower.

Great for a bike trip, hiking, frisbee golf, a visit to Willamette Pass, or Crater Lake!

The Oakridge Union Cog House has been completely restored and it's on the main street of the old Downtown. It is a 2 minute walk from the best Brewery and restaurant in this part of Oregon (Brewers Union) and 4 minutes from the Distillery. Four Legged and two legged guests love how close we are to the main Mountain Biking, fishing, hot springs Chillin, and Hiking trailheads. please look at our 70+ 5 star reviews.

The space
Our house was built in the 50's and completely remodeled with all new beds/kitchen/bathroom/flooring/laundry room in 2018. We wanted a place in Oakridge we could stay in to visit and we are not there that much. 1 king 1 Queen and 2 twins and a large lot give you plenty of room with a great new stainless kitchen. We have Bike storage in the back and are fencing the entire property so the dogs can run!

- "My husband is a wildland fire fighter and we are from the diamond lake area, and he got called to fight the cedar creek fire. While there we got this vrbo. It was absolutely perfect and so beautiful. We felt at home!" - "This house is just what we needed for our exploration of Oakridge and Westfir. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the A/C already turned on, which we were thankful for on a hot day. The house is spacious and well stocked with items needed for cooking. The location is within walking distance to the local brewery and the town market (weekend). The grocery store is a longer walk or a quick drive away. We had stopped at the Mercantile on the way into town and they were very helpful in providing information about mountain biking in the local area. If bringing bikes, there's a lockable shed in the backyard to store them in. The owner is not in town, but is completely reachable if needed."

Being off-grid setup I expected it to be more rustic and limited than It really is, that didn't really effect our stay. My only small gripe was the Traeger grill/smoker, It was finicky and a propane grill would be easier for most people. We did make some amazing smoked trout on it though!"
