Our apartment is a finished basement of a 3 story home we occupy. It includes a fully stocked kitchen, private bath & shower, 1 king bed, 2 twin beds and the option of up to 3 rollaway beds with memory foam. We pride ourselves on landscaping and a pond stocked with Bass & Koy fish. The pond features 3 small waterfalls for awesome ambiance. If you like the ocean, it’s a 40-60 minute drive West. Snow… well East about an hour you will find Willamette pass ski resort during the snow season. Eugene/UofO is 18 mile north. You won’t be disappointed. Come once and you will rebook again just like everyone else.

Not only affordable, but conveniently located to town, activities and less than 10 minutes from our kids. Host was very responsive to our communications. Check in was extremely easy for our late night arrival. Camper was clean. Full kitchen was nice to have available, though we were gone from sunup to beyond sundown, so we only used the fridge, freezer (Gotta have ice cream!) and bathroom/shower. All of which worked well. We will definitely book here again for next year's visit."

We also provide an outdoor kitchen with 4 top burner and oven plus outdoor grill. Bathing, kitchen and sauna towels provided as well as pillows and bedding. There are 2 dressers, a couch and a kitchen table with 6 chairs. Come and enjoy the peace and quite of Cottage Grove! Sip on a nice cup of coffee and listen to the sounds of nature right at the yurt or take a short drive to town and visit the historic downtown area, or swim the beautiful lakes of Cottage Grove or Dorena Reservoirs. Eugene and U of O campus/Hayward Field is a half hour north. Several winery's very close to town. Beautiful Oregon hot springs and the amazing views and adventures offered at the coast are within two hours.

Parking for 3 vehicles/boat is available for your use all off street and down the end of a circular driveway.

There is also a pond on the property that is available for pictures but no fishing is allowed as this pond is jointly shared with our neighbors. Please enjoy this beautiful setting but please use at your own risk and have regard for the private residence and driveway to the side. We have a few chairs for your use if you wish. Please view the pictures I have included for you to see the setting. Evening sunsets can be very pretty from this area.

There are also horses on one of our 2 acre fields next to the vegetable garden. These horses are not ours and the wire around the field is a live electric fence.

The vegetable garden is free for you to walk through and nibble as you see ripe goodies or glean for your evening dinner. Through out the year we have a varying variety but mostly in the late summer and early fall is when we maintain the garden. But use the herbs or tomatoes if there is any available. We have a timer on the hoses, so please do not turn any hoses off as this may affect the watering of the gardens

Weather:
One of the features of this home is a full house air conditioner. This feature is needed from about June through September but sometimes even more.
This is a must, as occasionally we have 90 degrees or more for a week here and there.

The winters are a bit chilly and occasionally we get a tiny bit of snow. Some years we get none and every 30 years we get 3 feet, but that is super rare. When we do, it never lasts more than a day or so. Summers are 70’s and 80’s and we get rain anytime of year with July and August being rare. Our summers stretch into October but just chillier at night.

This place is absolutely a piece of heaven, we hope you come and enjoy it. You wont be sorry, in fact you’ll wish you stayed longer. At least thats what everyone tells me. We even have repeat guests that book several weeks at a time every year.

- "We stayed here when we came for Nike Nationals at Hayward stadium in Eugene. It’s an easy drive -about 20 minutes and we’ll worth it! The property is just beautiful with so many flowers and a huge vegetable garden where I was able to make a yummy salad from. The house itself is decorated so beautifully with high end linens, and very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make at home meals. The back patios are a perfect place to eat and relax and the hot tub was great after a long day at the track. We would definitely come back !"

Want to go to the local winery ( Saginaw) or the local brewery ( hard knock) but want to be responsible. We offer drop off and pick ups as your desinanated driver. (upon availability and with notice) cost depends on distance
Cottage grove itself is a very walking and biking friendly town.

The bed is __ inches off the ground. The princess and the pea bed, minus the pea. There are 2 foot stools on either side of the bed to assist you if need be.
Wi-fi is satellite it can be tempermental at times.
There is NO CELL PHONE SERVICE. We offer a Landline which is also satellite and a shared line

We have plenty of yard space. If you have extra people, they are welcome to pitch a tent. Please let us know ahead of time if this something your interested in.

Also - there is plenty of yard to hang out outside and get some fresh air. and during the colder months, the heater on the back deck is a life saver.

By far a better experience than staying/ booking in a hotel. You don’t have to worry about being cooped up a hotel, or dealing with the hassle of checking in/ out, or dealing with other people in the hotel, or having to talk with the front desk to fix something. We have limited parking so there is a two vehicle limit plus the RV.

Guests have private access to the farmhouse, driveway parking (4 vehicles), and surrounding acreage. Please note: the barn and garage are not available for guest use.

- "Pretty bummed that we did not get any response from the host when requesting the access to the place on the day of check in. They eventually responded after multiple emails on day 2. We had to find accommodations to cover the first night and there was no offer for compensation. The internet wasn't working and the water was shut off on the 3rd day. My employees live out of their suitcases and count on lodging to be a seamless process. This was not that. Would not recommend for these reasons."

As soon as you walk into open concept living room and kitchen, brightly lit with picture windows in every wall, you'll realize this is the home you always wished you could have. It's got everything you need. A well stocked kitchen, a wood stove with a window in the door ready to set the ambiance for you evenings in. A full office with a hand sanded, live edge walnut desk. You'll find some foam blocks in the corner just in case you feel like arranging your own ideal seat.

The front porch has a view of the lake - it may be drained during the winter, but if you go walking on the paved path that spans miles from the far side of the lake almost to town, you'll find ways to go down onto the lake bed with streams flowing over the moss covered ground making it feel like a scene right out of Scotland. While hanging out on the front porch though, there's a propane fire pit next to the comfy chairs with a blanket to keep you not only warm, but thoroughly enjoying the world around you.

Take a walk through the gardens full of vineyards and fruit trees - or go pick some bay leafs from the tree by the deck.

The barrel sauna on the deck is for you to enjoy as a dry sauna or stream - up to you!

The three bedrooms are upstairs with extra blankets and amply space and light.

Plenty of parking in the driveway means you and your guests will have an easy time coming and going.

There's hiking trails nearby, waterfalls and all of Oregon's outdoor wonders to explore. In town you'll find local breweries, wineries, and eateries. If you need recommendations, be sure to check out the manual we send with your booking confirmation!

- "We planned a trip to Cottage Grove to do some cycling with friends. We did a total of 3 rides, one starting in Cottage Grove on a route to see the covered bridges. It was awesome.The home is situated across a road from Cottage Grove Lake. The front porch with gas fireplace was located facing the lake, which made for a beautiful and peaceful view of the lake, especially in the morning as the fog receded from the lake.The sauna was nice. Just a short walk around the side of the house onto a deck with a nice view away from the house. There is a hot tub next to the sauna, which would have been nice to access, but it was empty at the time, and also not listed as an amenity for the rental.The house interior is nice. The flooring is beautiful and the living space is spacious. The bedrooms are comfortable as well. The bedrooms were a good size and the master was very nice. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and kitchen island made it super nice for cooking with our group of 6. We enjoyed spending time playing games, a few of which were at the house.As stated in the information, there are ladybugs inside the house. Quite the novelty to see them in a few places in the living area. I did not notice them upstairs in the bedrooms, just the downstairs area near the front of the house.The two things for improvement. 1) Heating didn't seem to work as we expected. 2) There were no windows covering in any of the rooms."

This clean little space is equipped with all a couple or single individual would need for a lovely stay near cottage Grove lake. There is a twin size, convertible bed to a queen, if desired. Nice cotton sheets on the mattress.
Instant oats and coffee provided.
Ideally traveler/s would be very able-bodied for this location. No pets or smoking are allowed on property. The driveway is gravel and can be steep for some. A Prius can make it up the driveway just fine but I thought it should be noted.

The space
Sleeping loft upstairs, hot tub on deck with fire table, kitchen is 2 burners, waffle maker, skillet, Crock-Pot, toaster oven, popcorn maker, coffee maker, fridge freezer and all utensils, some spices oils tea and coffee. Bathtub is visible from the entire bottom floor restroom and sink are behind a small wall with curtain. Not for the shy. Private little courtyard with raised garden beds and flowers. There are chairs down by the river. And a swing that holds up to 600 lb. There are a variety of CDs and movies. A few books and magazines. Lots of board games. Cottage Grove lake is one mile away. The backyard of the cottage has a tiny newly established orchard that produces pears plums cherries and apples at the end of summer. We do have a cat Milo he is very friendly please don't allow him in the house. We also have auggie and Delilah our dogs they shouldn't be down there but if you see them just tell them to go home or give them a scratch. lol.
