And at one point in the evening I went to shower and it took the water ages to heat up, but it did eventually so that was a relief lol. Also the water pressure was a little on the low side. - "Clean an convenient " - "We have grandkids in Artesia and always stay here when we come to visit. It's always been a very pleasant experience. This was the first time they didn't clean the room for a multiple day stay. Not really a problem but would have liked to know ahead of time, just would have liked the coffee supplies refilled at least. I know they are undergoing new ownership. We also got a free bottle of water upon check in. I paid $1 for each bottle when asked for one. Again, not a big deal. They were on the breakfast spread so I took extra (free) the next morning. But these little things make a big difference between a "good" stay and an "excellent" stay. We will be back several times this summer for baseball games. If it's the same service and these things haven't changed, you will get an "average" for the stay. I gave you a pass this time."

There was a full size refrigerator, 2 burner stovetop, small sink, microwave, toaster, mini coffee pot and mini dishwasher. It was just right for what we needed (definitely could have used bigger coffee pot, but we just made a lot of pots). There was also some fruit, a juice machine, and I believe there was cereal. There is also a small "convenience store" in the lobby with snacks, cold drinks, frozen foods, etc. There are a lot of oil field workers that stay here, but I also saw many families on vacation. We were on Spring Break (2nd week of March). It was fairly full but it wasn't overly busy and never felt crowded. Staff was very friendly and helpful."

- "The stay was fabulous " - "Not a bad experience, but strange. We were coming into town fairly late, around 10:30pm, so I tried to call the hotel to alert them; I couldn’t find a working number. I found an 800 number, which was forwarded to someone named Bob’s voicemail. I didn’t leave a message. When we arrived, no one was at the property. There’s a door leading from the street upstairs, with no elevator. Thankfully there is a working phone number posted on the locked door, and we were able to reach someone and get a code to enter the building. It was a bit eerie - maybe because it was a Sunday night, we may have been the only ones there. All the room doors were open, and our assigned rooms (which we were told over the phone at the door) had our room keys on the desk in the room. My room was fine. The whole hotel is pretty dated, as evidenced by the corner shower with brass trim. The A/C worked well, and there was also a ceiling fan which is a plus IMO. The bed was fairly comfortable. In the lobby area, there’s a sign that says breakfast starts at 6am. We started the coffee maker up and we left the hotel at 7:30, and no one had shown up, and there was no breakfast. Thankfully, we discovered Kith+Kin a few blocks away, which did not disappoint."
