A reduction in the number of guests won't be allowed unless the reservation is within the cancellation time period window. After that, removing guests and refunds for this same reason won't be eligible.

"The Compound" offers THREE separate rental spaces and offers direct engagement to Marfa aesthetics. "The Compound" will accommodate up to 13 guests with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths when renting all three structures. This unique compound is a great place to share with family and friends and may be rented as described below:

CASA GRANDE - A turn of the century remodeled adobe home, offers three spacious bedrooms each with a king bed; two Japanese influenced baths, one with outdoor shower; large outfitted chef's kitchen; and living/dining space. This CASA GRANDE can sleep up to six guests. The rental for four guests is $500/night with an additional charge of $100 per person per night. There is an additional $150 Cash cleaning/laundry fee that you pay directly to property manager at time of rental. If rental is longer than four days, cleaning/laundry fees will increase.

The following spaces may ONLY be rented as add-ons to the CASA GRANDE:
CASITA - A "Jewel" of a guest house with queen size bed, full bath, kitchen and spacious living space (room for a queen air mattress if needed). No A/C - fans are available; space heaters available when needed. The CASITA sleeps up to 3 and rents for $300/night. There is an additional $100 Cash cleaning/laundry fee that you pay directly to property manager at time of rental.

PAVILION - Al Fresco space for dining/entertaining and/or sleeping with full bath. The rental for dining/entertaining for the number of guest staying on property is $150/night or if used for sleeping only cost is $300/night. The PAVILION can sleep up to four guest on queen air mattresses with 100% cotton bedding. If the space is used for combination of dining/entertaining AND sleeping the rental is $400/night.
If wanting to rent the PAVILION for an event (larger than the number staying on the property) - than ask about cost of rental/cost of cleaning fee. Prior approval is required.

House rentals must be for at least 3 Nights for all National Holiday Weekends, plus Chinati Weekend (in October). If less than 3 nights during the Holiday Weekends, please inquire about the additional charge.

- "We had a wonderful stay Torri's home in Marfa! Casa Grande was just right for seven adults. Each of the three bedrooms had king beds and were well sized, so all three couples had comfortable rooms. The house is beautiful inside with memorable Marfa style. The sofa is comfy, too. We appreciated the air conditioning in Casa Grande since it was over 100 degrees during the day. We were able to walk almost everywhere. The outdoor shower was refreshing. It was a special treat to see a sunset while taking a shower. Torri is really helpful and provided a very comfortable queen sized inflatable bed for our daughter since we couldn't use the Casita (it did not have AC). Highlights from our trip--buy a guest pass to the St George hotel pool (great frozen drinks, or it's free after 5 pm). Margaret's for dinner, The Sentinel for coffee, Bordo for sandwiches, The Block Tour of Donald Judd's residence/ studio, McDonald Observatory Star Party If I can think of one thing to suggest, it would be to add an Anker power strip cube to each bedroom to help with the limited electrical outlet situation in the sleeping areas. Bosque Bonito is a one bedroom/one bath apartment accommodating two persons with a full kitchen/dining room and a living room with comfortable seating. It features original art throughout, a gas fireplace to provide warmth and ambiance on cool evenings, and a blue tooth speaker allowing guests to stream their own music selections. The bedroom has premium bedding, and a lighted nook with an electric plug for recharging electronic devices. The bathroom features a frameless glass shower and glass block windows to provide natural light, and a closet for hanging clothing and storing luggage.
Bosque Bonito guests can also relax in our art gallery, enjoy the view and ambiance from comfortable seating on our front balcony, or nest in the banquette seating in our screened atrium with its fire pit and large screen TV.

Desert Crunch is a fully remodeled 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath adobe home. Resting on top of a plateau overlooking Marfa this home offers beautiful views from the covered porch. Located on the southwest side of town in the quiet neighborhood that was once part of the Fort D A Russell military base down the street from the Chinati Foundation. The home was originally built in the 1930’s as part of the base for an officer with a family.

When booking separately there will be others staying in near by rentals within the compound. Each unit is private and outdoor space is communal. In the center of the compound is a BAR. Wifi works great for streaming and work calls.

TV:

LOCATION:
This property is just across the bridge off the main drag on the North East side of town. The address is 1007 E Oak St. Once you come up to B Street, make a left and we are on the right hand side.

PROPERTY:
This property is one of four private rentals inside an 8ft gated metal fence. Each unit can be rented separately or as a whole (ask us about Event space rentals). When booking separately there will be others staying in near by rentals within the compound. Each unit is private and outdoor space is communal. In the center of the compound is a BAR. The bar can be loud! Please consider when booking.

Last call is firm but patrons may linger after hours during closing. Noise may not cease until one hour after closing.

UNIT QUATRO:
This unit sleeps up to four (4 guests) total inside a lofted studio space with one bathroom.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
The sleeping arrangements include two FULL size beds, one in the main studio space and one in the loft. If you are booking with 3-4 guests in your party, 1-2 guests will need to be able to climb very tall heights which can be extremely dangerous for small children. Please only book if you are comfortable with this. There is a small area with luggage rack and full length body mirror.

KITCHENETTE:
The space is equipped with kitchenette, high top seating for two, microwave, and sink. Each kitchenette has two electric burners for cooking. Enjoy sitting outside on private front porch.

BATH:
Each unit has one bathroom with toilet, sink and walk-in shower.

WIFI:
Wifi works great for streaming and work calls.

TV:
At this time we do not provide TV, however, you can bring your own devices for streaming movies on your favorite networks.

We encourage outdoor activities, so we have a huge outdoor TV for you to enjoy! We will leave the remote right there on the bar for you to use.

ESSENTIALS:
All basic essentials and more are provided. You can expect clean sheets upon arrival, fresh towels and hot water. Hand soap, dish soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, sugar and creamers are also available. Each unit is provided enough items for stay. Dishware, cups, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans.

AMENITIES:
Each unit has WiFi, one blow dryer, Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge without freezer, microwave, two burner stove and light-up vanity body mirror. We do not provide irons. Please feel free to request one if needed.

OUTDOORS:
Each unit has its own private front porch with seating. Enjoy shaded drinks, a good book or lounge with a good book. Hang out in the bar area, too! There are tables and chairs set up for you.

PETS:
We do allow pets with additional cleaning fee. All pets must be added to the reservation under "Guest Total" where a cleaning fee will automatically be added.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
We follow a "moderate cancellation policy".

Checkin starts at 3PM. Early checkins are not a guarantee. Please request in advance before entering property early. Checkout is 11AM. Please request late checkouts.

Guest access
Guests have access to their private unit with special code two days before arrival. Private units are NOT shared. Outdoor spaces are shared with locals and tourists not staying on site.
Other things to note
Vaquero Vibes is a great space for meeting other locals and tourists staying in town or on site. Vaquero Vibes is not recommended for small children. Communal bar can be LOUD in the evenings. If you are looking for a quiet space this may not be the place for you. Music can be loud until 2AM. Please consider this seriously when booking.

Desert Sky is located in Antelope Hills, a beautiful area just outside Marfa (7-10 minute drive to the heart of downtown) that offers guests the absolute best our surrounding desert has to offer while also being as close to downtown and Marfa's main attractions as a lot of homes that are technically in the city limits.

Please note that there is about five minutes drive-time on a dirt road, once you turn onto Antelope Hills Road. You don't need 4 wheel, all-while drive, or even high clearance to traverse it, but we want out guests to know what to expect in case driving on an unpaved road isn't going to work for you and your vehicle.

Please note that the property sits close to the Marfa train tracks. The train can be heard from every residence in our little town, but we do want to make sure guests are aware of this property's proximity. Given that we sit on the outskirts of town, we are typically subject to less horn blowing which means that the train is not particularly disruptive at this location, though it is close.

There is no curtain covering the garage door in order to make the most of the natural light. Please be aware of this if you are sensitive to light.

Please be aware that refunds will not be issued for insect sightings. We work extremely hard to keep this property clean for our guests, and ask that you be considerate of the fact that Marfa is in the high desert. At certain times of the year insects (including spiders, water bugs, flies, and scorpions) are more active, and may may appear within the house on rare occasions. This is not something we can 100% guard against, and it has nothing to do with lack of cleanliness! If you have a serious phobia of insects and arachnids, please do not book this location. That being said, this space DOES NOT have an insect problem, and this disclaimer is only meant to protect us in in the very rare case of sightings.

Only the guests listed in the reservation request are permitted at the house. Inviting un-declared guests to the property will result in immediate forfeiture of your reservation. You will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund.

Pets are welcome only if we approve them in your initial inquiry. A non-refundable fee of $45 per pet is required. Desert sky accommodates a maximum of 2 pets. The casita is nestled within a residential alley, which acts as some of our local streets. So note, you will be in an alley but in the comfort of a small home.

You are offered a private stay, and I am a message or call away should anything arise. I believe in travel being restorative and reflective- so you are provided you your own space to tap in! Notably, the casita is in the backyard of a main house, but is fenced off for privacy. Please do not knock on the door of the main house or enter that property. This casita is in the original town of marfa, one of the oldest neighborhoods. It is a 3 blocks off of the main street (Highland Ave) in Marfa, a stone's throw to the courthouse and across the street from the iconic Marfa water tower. Walk north 5 blocks for mountain gazing, west 1/4 a mile for some beautiful footpaths.

Marfa is very walkable! A mile long by two miles wide, and nearly a mile high, it's easy to bike or walk to most anywhere. Having a rental car is ideal getting into town and granting yourself access to our famed Star Parties at the MacDonald Observatory outside of Fort Davis, swimming at Balmorhea, hiking in Big Bend and visiting quaint, nearby Alpine, TX. Use ebike marfa for alternative wheels.

Please kindly note: this adobe is located in the high desert, in a remote region. We have dust, even dust storms. We have insects and arachnids including spiders, ants and scorpions - and more! I hope this far out landscape is part of why you have chosen this locale. That said, please note a 100 year old structure does not guarantee a complete seal. This does not mean the casita has not been fully, and thoughtfully, cleaned for you. Please do not consider booking the place if you are the type who is unable to handle dust that might have blown in, or an errant insect. *This is not to signify an insect problem, but rather as a gentle and kind warning of a rare situation.* Many thanks.

- NO flushing of anything other than toilet paper. You will be responsible for paying for any plumbing obstructions. This is old and fragile plumbing-- Absolutely no flushing of wipes (even if they say flushable), feminine products, paper towels, coffee grinds, trash, etc. NOTHING other than TP thanks :) A lined receptacle is provided by the toilet to dispose of anything.

- The bathroom sink is meant for only bathroom activities as well as washing the Chemex and light dishes/mugs (NO FOOD down the sink, only liquids).

- No parking oversized vehicles in the parking pad. If your vehicle does not fit (by obstructing the alley or having to go over the metal divider onto the patio, this means it does not fit). Additional, or oversized, vehicles are to be parked on Dean St or Russell St.

- Upon leaving, please dispose of trash in the dumpster in the alley directly outside of the casita, kindly do your dishes, and take any foodstuffs with you.

- Per the listing, the fee is built for up to 2 guests. Please do not sneak in other guests! We live on the property- let's avoid that awkward interaction. If there is room for a third as an exception, we charge $25 a night for a 3rd guest.

- "We highly recommend this rental if you go to Marfa. A diamond in the rough. Wonderful home away from home. Loved the layout. We could have hosted a small family reunion as there were plenty of private spaces indoors and a large outdoors (we choose not to use as the town is dry & dusty.) A nice surprise was a well lit “sunroom,” which served as a sitting space, we used it as breakfast nook, which included a single bed/couch. 2 nice clean good-sized bathrooms had nice tile work and counter spaces. One bathroom had double sinks AND a great plus was a heated toilet seat that I have never experienced, including a bidet. The host Erik was most reassuring about every question I had. He responded immediately, no matter what time of day on any question I had. He picked up his personal phone as well as responded Expedia/VRBO email promptly. The spacious kitchen was stocked with every little thing, including spices, saran wrap, storage bags, ground coffee, several coffee devices, nice wine glasses, apple music speakers, etc. including a large dining table as well as bar stools/countertop. GUESTHOUSE:
To the West of property is a private Guesthouse for two with King bed. To reserve this property along with the main house, look up Dickson Casita. Casita is next to main house and has private fenced outdoor space. Expect that Casita may be booked by other guests during your stay if you choose not to reserve both.

CLEAN:
We take our cleaning seriously. We follow all protocols for your absolute comfort.

PETS:
We do allow up to three pets max with additional cleaning fees. You can add these fees automatically when you add pets under guest total.

Second bedroom on North side of hall is saddled down with one Queen bed, closet with dresser drawers for storing your nighties, two night stands, bedside lighting, mirror and one chair. This room is just across the hall from the bathroom. Sliding barn door for privacy.

BATH:

BEDROOM THREE:
Last room at the end of the hall. "Chaps Room" is a stylish and fun room with Queen bed, side tables and closet for luggage. Sliding barn door for privacy. Perfect hideaway for any cowboy or cowgirl.

PARK:
As always, free parking next to building. This unit is closest to the EV charger parking.

OUTDOORS:
Although this is a private living space you can expect to share all outdoor spaces. The front of the building has dining for four, four lounge chairs, swings for two. Pet cleaning fee of $30 per stay is added to reservation automatically when you add pets to guest total. All pets require a pet cleaning fee no matter how clean you might think they are. This old gas station is right off the main drive, HWY 90 or San Antonio Street. You will hear cars coming in to town. The train passes in the distance carrying cargo or passengers.

We're just on the edge of town walking distance to the "Water Stop", a great restaurant and bar near by. We are located one (1) mile from the Presidio County Court House (Center of town) where most shops, restaurants and night life is located.

Getting Around:
We are located on the edge of town and one mile from the center of town. Although very walkable, you might find a bike, car or horseback is easiest.

The Love House at Corte del Norte is in the heart of Marfa - you can walk to all the shops, galleries and restaurants!

Corte del Norte is a compound of three houses.

The shared courtyard has a stock tank "pool", adobe and glass dining shed, billiards room and fire pits.

Para Llevar, a restaurant on the block, has outdoor dining that shares fence with Corte del Norte.

The Love House has two bedrooms and one bath along with media room, dining lounge and a kitchen. This home sleeps 5 with a daybed and queen bed in one bedroom and queen bed in the second bedroom. If you need more sleeping capacity see The Rock City House at Corte del Norte.
