The space
The space features a plush down Cloud couch, a large flat-screen TV, and a cozy fireplace making it the perfect place to sink in, put up your feet and relax. The kitchenette is equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave and a small dining nook. Enjoy complimentary snacks, fruit and coffee. The bedroom features a queen sized bed with memory foam top, windows and plenty of storage. Cheeky is in one of the local Carrboro neighborhoods built in the 1950s; we renovated the house in the last couple of years, updating the kitchen and bathrooms. We've set the house up for short- and medium-term stays. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware, so you can cook and relax just like at home.

We provide ground coffee, tea, and oatmeal, and many child-friendly amenities including highchair, kids' dishes, beds, pack ‘n play, toys, games, books, and movies. Enjoy grilling on the back patio while sitting by the fire pit in the fenced in backyard or shooting hoops in the driveway.

More information: Carrboro is affectionately known as the “Paris of the Piedmont”. You can easily walk, bike, drive, or take the free bus to downtown Carrboro or Chapel Hill. Carrboro has several great coffee shops, 2 of which are within a 5-10 minute walk from the house. The area has many great locally-owned restaurants and pubs, and 2 grocery stores less than a mile away. The Carrboro Farmer’s Market is available Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings with local produce, baked goods, and crafts. Wilson Park and MLK Park are both a 5-10 minute walk from the house.

Getting around: Carrboro is a very walkable town. If you’re driving, parking is free in downtown Carrboro. Chapel Hill has many town parking lots (for a fee). Take advantage of the free bus service (7 days a week). The bus stop is just around the corner from the house. Use the NextBus app or check out the route maps we keep at the house.

This house is completely set up for two sets of adults to be very comfortable! This is our primary home - not a bare-bones rental property - so absolutely anything you might need to make a real home-from-home is provided. We live in a beautiful and unspoilt area - yet less than 5 miles from the center of Chapel Hill, with easy access to Durham and Raleigh.

Quiet development in the woods, beautifully and comfortably furnished and fully updated recently. On 1+ acre, large, fenced, and landscaped lot with a back yard backing onto a small creek and 100+/- acres of quiet woodland with walking paths.

3 queen bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully updated kitchen, large dining room, large living room with vaulted ceilings. Additional separate lounge/entertainment in one bedroom with HDTV and top-notch 8-speaker sound system. Slate, tile, acacia wood and Travertine floors throughout. Huge sliding glass doors leading to beautiful large sunny deck overlooking the back garden and woods.

The house is not overlooked from any direction, and there is no road noise. The garden shed has an additional seating deck with covered porch.

Lots of great artwork throughout the house(much of it original), CH & AC, entertainment system with 65" Sony UHD TV and high-quality sound system. Also 4 ceiling speakers in the dining area and kitchen - great for music and movies.

This is a quiet neighborhood so we have quiet hours from 10 pm -8 am outside and similarly inside. All plumbing is new but only toilet paper can be flushed.

-Parties: We do NOT allow parties. If you have a special event or gathering request, we will consider each request on a case-by-case basis. If there is evidence that a non-approved party/gathering has been thrown, you will be assessed an extra cleaning fee up to $500.

-Overnight Guests: Please make sure you enter the accurate overnight guest count when booking. As you can imagine, when 1-2 people spend the night, the wear and tear on the house is far less than when additional guests are in the house. Although this property can sleep more than 2 guests, the base price is for 2 people. There is a $15 per night price increase for each additional guest staying in the house over 2 people (the exception is for infants under 12 months.) Putting in your accurate overnight guest numbers PRIOR to booking will ensure you can see what the correct price will be for your stay.

-Visitors: We are perfectly fine with you having family or friends visit you during your stay. If you are planning to have more than 2 visitors who will NOT be spending the night, please let us know. At no point can there be more people at the property than the maximum house capacity listed. (For example: if the house sleeps 8 and allows you to book for 8 people, then there can never be more than 8 people at the property – even if they are just visitors stopping by.) If this rule is not abided by, there will be a $40 fee per unapproved visitor.

-Fire/Smoke: It is a property rule that there are to be no fires, candles, smoking or burning of any kind in the property. Our cleaning company charges a $200 fee if there is any indication of any form of burning/smoke in the house.

Fireplaces- All fireplaces are non-working and should not be used.

-Excessive mess: If the property is left excessively dirty there will be a $100 fee for extra cleaning.

-Late check-out fee: Late check-outs are allowed only if explicitly approved. If approved prior to arrival, you can check-out as late as 11:00 a.m. with no charge. There is a $25 charge per hour if we extend anytime beyond 11:00 a.m. and the latest we can let someone checkout is 1:00 p.m.

-Guests must provide a working telephone number. If the telephone number does not work, then the reservation can be canceled without a refund.

-We will always go above and beyond for you. That said, if you have a complaint about any aspect of the property (amenities, cleanliness, etc.) upon sharing the complaint with us or vrbo you are authorizing us to come into the property to fix it. (We will always attempt to call you before entering to fix the problem.)

-Any house rules broken are grounds for immediate cancellation of reservation and departure from the property without refund.

Note: For Security Deposits, VRBO collects these funds and returns them to you if the property is not damaged. As the host we do not receive these funds.

- "We rented this home for family visiting from out of state. Nice place and the pool was especially great for the kids to enjoy. The location was also nice providing more privacy than one would expect close to Carrboro and UNC. There were a couple of minor maintenance concerns that we pointed out to the rep who arrived as we were leaving. Our only suggestion is that it would be nice to have more chairs so that everyone could sit around the dining table to eat. However, all in all, very nice home that was clean and well equipped."

This room with a queen size bed has a private parking and entrance and is just a short 10 minute drive from downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill, 12 minute drive to UNC Chapel Hill, and 15 minute drive to UNC hospitals as well as a 20 minute drive to Durham. The home is nestled on over three acres of private, wooded land offering a quiet place to settle in.

The guest suite is the bottom floor of our family home on a 3.5 acre wooded lot in a gorgeous and wooded area right outside the charming towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

JEEP SPRINGS QUEEN BED
Enjoy the comfortable queen bed with plenty of pillows in your suite-style getaway. Watch TV from bed! And get a huge kick out of the handmade bed fashioned from old Jeep springs. The bedframe sits on 4 giant springs.

The full bathroom has a walk-in shower. We provide toiletries for your stay (shampoo, conditioner, body wash).

KITCHENETTE
The kitchenette has a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. We provide coffee, sugar, and tea as well as a basic assortment of silverware, napkins, and glasses.

WORKSPACE
There is a desk in the unit if you want to get some work or writing done!

SHARED LAUNDRY
There is shared laundry between the units, each with separate access and locking doors. You *may* see other guests or our housekeepers if you choose to do laundry, otherwise you won't see or interact with anyone at all.

EXTRA BLANKETS & SUPPLIES
Find an iron and ironing board, hangers, and extra blankets in pillows in the closet. We also have an air filter for the room.

You'll have full and private access of the guest suite with its own bathroom and private patio overlooking the woods. Shared laundry is available should you want to use it. We provide laundry detergent.

SEPARATE UPSTAIRS RENTAL
We may occassionally have guests also staying upstairs. Each side of the house has its own private entrance (on opposite sides) as well as private parking in front of the entrance.

No smoking, absolutely no parties. Excessive noise that disturbs the neighbors will not be tolerated. Quiet hours from 10pm - 8am.

NO UNAUTHORIZED PETS.
Pets allowed with pet fee and agreement to pet policy. All pets must be registered. Failure to register your pet will result in a $200 unauthorized pet fee.

CANCELLATIONS
The cancellation policy applies to all bookings. An additional $150 cancellation fee will be charged to cover credit card processing and admin fees on all cancellations.

RENTER'S AGREEMENT
A signed renter's agreement is required for all reservations, as well as a picture of a government-issued photo ID and a picture of your credit card used to book showing only the last 4 digits and your name. This is to prevent credit card fraud and is meant to protect you as the renter and us as hosts.

DEPOSIT
We require a $300 deposit for each reservation, which will be processed 3 days before your arrival. As long as there is no unexpected damage to the home, deposits are automatically refunded in full in 7 days.

PETS
Pets are welcome with pet fee ($40 per pet), pre-approval, and pet policy agreement. NO UNAUTHORIZED PETS. A $250 charge will apply if you have not registered your pet(s) for your stay.

Peaceful house in the woods just outside of Carrboro/Chapel Hill. Just a short 5 minute drive to downtown Carrboro or 8 minutes drive to downtown Chapel Hill. Relax in the hammock or enjoy the pool on a hot day. It is just far enough outside of town to feel like a cabin in the woods but is only a short 12 minute drive to University of North Carolina campus.

This house has a fully stocked kitchen, bbq area, and outside deck to enjoy the serenity of the area.
