The property is ancient “podere” that has been refurbished from 2010 to 2012 using the original materials, it lies at 3 kms from the town of Chianciano Terme, one of the most popular thermal Spas in Italy, among the hills dividing Val d'Orcia and Valdichiana. If you are interested in wineries and wine tasting there are two at walking distance from the property, 3 more at 10 minutes driving & many other it the nearby Montepulciano and Montalcino. For hiking, there are some nice paths departing directly from the property and different ones in the hills near Chianciano Terme (3km far away). The whole property is for your private use and not shared with any other person. The villa (tastefully furnished) has 2 floors with independent but communicating entries (there are both internal and external staircases), so it is also suitable for 2 families who want to go on holiday together but at the same time have some privacy. Each floor has 2 bedrooms, kitchen or kitchnette, dining/living room, terrace with panoramic view. The first floor has a room with kitchen and double sofa bed, this room can also be used as 5th bedroom. The ground floor has one bathroom the first floor two. All the bedrooms and the living rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Wi-fi internet connection available on both floors. There are 2 baby cots available and 1 highchair (no problem to get a second one if asked). The property has a large private garden with a 12x5 swimming pool (1,20 to 1,70 meter deep). The pool area is completely fenced so the property is suitable for families with babies/young children, there is a first gate and fence near the villa at the beginning of the stairs to the pool area and a second one just before the pool area. There are tables and chairs to eat outdoor nar the villa and there is also at disposition a barbecue. Podere La Cava is a typical Tuscan farmhouse located in the countryside between Montepulciano and Chianciano Terme whose name derives from a nearby gravel pit. Highly recommended!" - "Villa Bambina, the Heart of Tuscany! We settled on having a big family gathering for a birthday milestone here in the middle of stunning Tuscany! The traditional style farmhouse accommodated 7 adults comfortably between two floors. Three bathrooms and a backup kitchen for overflow worked well. Only one problem two weeks was not enough!! The weather heated up and the pool overlooking lush patchwork countryside was hard to leave. Mr Raffaele [the owner] looked after our every need (welcoming us with wines, fresh eggs, cherries and his own olive oil, and we were also invited to pick fresh lettuce and herbs from the garden). He was a wonderful host that definitely contributed greatly to our special two weeks! The crowning experience was a birthday lunch cooked at the villa by Leonardo - we all participated in making pici pasta ("tipici" of the area), and learnt to make a number of other traditional dishes. Leonardo then served lunch and provided accompanying local red wines. The meal was delicious and surpassed any restaurant experience! Bellissimo!! We all recommend Villa Bambina! I thought the booking procedure, follow up and communication that Summer In Italy provided was excellent. I will be happy to approach them again when I am ready to book another stay somewhere special in Italy! Thank you!"
