We had a car and had just come from Sorano and Sovana...would highly recommend both towns. We decided to have dinner at a lovely restaurant half way between Saturnia and the hotel, as it seemed too difficult to drive a car into Pitlgliano. We only had one glich...upon arrival the owner didn't speak English (and we didn't speak Italian), so we didn't receive the paperwork about 'extra fees'. So upon checkout we were surprised with a fee for bathing robe ( hadn't been charged at other thermal resorts), cappuccinos for breakfast (even though breakfast was included in our hotel rate...and we hadn't been charged for those anytime in our 3 weeks of travel). So just a "heads up" on extra fees. Overall, a relaxing stay."
