'La Rondine di Mare' is a charming villa set in an acre of Mediterranean countryside that boasts spectacular sea views. It is on a quiet road not overlooked by other properties. The house is very big and nicely divided so that everyone has some private space. The sitting room which has three double glass doors that lead outside. Two wings lead off the sitting room. The first leads the master bedroom, single bedroom with shared bathroom. The other wing leads past the kitchen and dinning room, to a bunk bed room and shower room. The dining room has a large round table which is ideal for feeding children or using when it rains and the kitchen is long and easily fits several adults cooking simultaneously. The kitchen has another exit that leads to the car park and a large terrace. Two short, external flights of stairs lead to the two guest suits.

There are 3 terraces. The main one off the sitting room has a teak dining table that seats up to 15 people and several trees that create very welcome shade from the summer sun. In addition there is a large square umbrella and pergola that has a canvas covering providing a large amount of shade. The gardens and grass lawns are ideal for sunbathing or playing catch with your children. The view from this side of the house is due west towards the island of Giglio. Most evening there are spectacular sunsets! On a clear day you can also see the islands of Monte Cristo and Corsica and if you are very lucky even Elba.
The second terrace has a bamboo roof and teak table for 4. We like breakfasting here or having an drink while looking at the island of Giannutri.
The kitchen terrace has recently been resurfaced and is a useful space for your children to play in while you cook or take a break at the other side of the house. There is also a dedicated area for drying clothes.

Drin a cottage hidden: 3 rooms, kitchen, bathroom and conservatory at 50 square meters - our house is a space saver. the living room (9 square meters) was from the historic vineyard cottage with TV (all German programs). This is followed by the kitchen (with a combined gas hob / electric tube / dishwasher and refrigerator) and a bathroom (shower + toilet). The actual bedroom (6 sqm) is equipped with a new fixed bed (190x80 cm) and an equally large folding bed with new, good mattress and a closet. The garden area has a barbecue (which we did not get around to using but was readily available), lots of sun beds and chairs and, best of all (in our kids’ opinion) features quite a few friendly cats including kittens. The walk down to the beach area takes only a few minutes along footpaths and is very convenient. The beach itself is great as well. Made of rocks it allows for great swimming, snorkeling, boating, and so forth. The view above and below water is picturesque and we enjoyed a great summer holiday with daily swimming and sun soaking. There’s also a beach bar down there which we mostly used to purchase ice cream but there’s food and drinks available there, too. What can be said is that the road from Porto Santo Stefano over to Le Cannelle features stunning views across the sea, as you go up and down along the coast to quite some heights. You want to be sure you feel comfortable driving on a somewhat narrow road. That being said, there is not a lot of traffic and people look out and drive safely. We went back and forth for shopping at the supermarket a few times but mostly we stayed at the beach and the house. Overall we love the place and the hosts and hope to come back next year. "

- "This apartment is a dream. Spectacular views from multiple terraces, both bedrooms and one of the two bathrooms. Very well equipped kitchen and house with beach wraps and chairs and boogie boards - all sorts of glasses, plates, containers, etc. The walk to the nearest swimming hole is down a stone staircase and is super close - just not ideal if you have any mobility issues. we used our car only twice the whole stay and there was convenient parking on the property. Most importantly the owners were highly attentive and in touch regularly, ready to respond to any issues or offer advice for restaurants, boat rentals, etc. Overall a fabulous stay in a highly-recommended apartment."

- "Great location, sea front, 6th floor, the view is on the harbor and the whole village. The apartement is bright, with its numerous windows. During our stay, sun was hot, temperature above 35 degree: despite that, we did not suffer any warm, as you're just in front of the marine breeze. Rooms very well manteined, clean, sunlight, and sea taste everywhere. Building from the 60', well mantained: elevator ( you're at last floor), with the exception of the last floor, where you have only stairs( not a problem at all). Apartement is located just in the Centre of the town, surrounded by all shops you need. Last but not least (fundamental in high season) , apartement has its parking lot for one car."
