- "One night’s stay at Fattoria for me, my husband and our 17 year old. The hotel is geared up for a family who love their activities - a full timetable of events, football, tennis, a mini farm and 3 pools. The main pool area was lovely, with a well-stocked pool bar. One thing worth noting, as is sometime the Italian way, this hotel has swimming caps as compulsory. My 17 yr old was not impressed. I think this should be made clear on the website as he did not go in the pool as a result!! (I bought a cap for 4 euros and had a great swim!). We ate in the pizzeria on site (about 15 mins walk - it’s a large site!) We ate outside and could see the outdoor grill/chef busy at work. Good value and great service. Hotel bar had a good atmosphere so we had a drink before bed. Breakfast was served buffet-style in a large room. All very nice. Bedroom was abit dated but OK, we all slept well. Lots of parking spaces. We visited Castiglione della Pescaia but it was very busy and hot. Looked lovely but we didn’t stay long. All in all, lots on offer if you want it. Good hotel in a great spot. Rather than just start closing up a staff member was kind enough to ask us if we needed more time. - "We were driving around Toscana and needed a break from the hectic towns. This Hotel was Perfect for us. We visited during May so not many people in the Hotel. Still we could hear the neighboring sounds. Clean Hotel. Soaceous room. The bed matress was a bit hard for us. Barhroom was clean and with a shower with nice water pressure and hot water. There was a free parking lot right in front of the Hotel. Breakfast was included. Good enough for us. Would have liked tastier juices. Location was nice by the beach. It is so close to major attractions (like see, villages and vineyards) and also it provides you with all possible comfort." - "Picture Butlins in the 70s, the place was like a childrens camp some form of PGL maybe. It was really weird the owners have an obsession with gnomes, bunting and hand painted animal signs. The land in which it is situated is flat and not much to do around (locally). The pools were very nice but have changed somewhat since the pictures were taken for expedia. I would not stay here it is geared up for the Italian family market not Couples. The rooms were odd our room had a little cooker and sink in the corner, the rooms were not that big so this cramped them even more so. Air con was ok and working well. You have to unload your car and then park it in another location even tho there is ample space outside the rooms/ villas. I would rather stay on the island of elba as this butlins camp was the most expensive place of our hunnymoon with no brekkie or cleaning services. Hope this has helped, shame to be negative but its true."

The attention to detail, the pool and hot tub, all the little things made it really special. The property is about a 15 minute taxi ride from the train station. Offering a shuttle for a fee would be nice touch. Beds and amenities were everything you could ask for. Also a lovely spot to chill for a few days after Rome or Florence, busyness. Restaurant on site is lovely. Breakfast had a lot of choice and was delicious, with a lot of homemade and local ingredients. As there are no restaurants close by, the only choice is to eat there. With this in mind, our recommendations would be to ask about food allergies and sensitivities to accommodate everyone. Horse back riding was for experienced riders only. That said there is a horse farm close by that is suitable for all. We thoroughly enjoyed our Agritourismo stay and would highly recommend them. "
